John Lennon, a cruel, greedy man?
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-...ssion.html

This article goes into depth of what sort of character John Lennon was. Basically he was rich, a bad lazy student, and wrote imagine in a mansion and did not give up that lifestyle afterwards. He reminds of me of SJWs who make a big display of doing something for the greater good, but hiding some terrible secrets.

RE: John Lennon, a cruel, greedy man?
Lennon was a musical genius. That is the fact that, in the end, matters above any others.

There is much about the dude that was very obviously cringeworthy, and in a way that characterized his generation, whose flaws he did not transcend. One cannot love Lennon in the way that one loves Mick Jagger, or Jimmy Page -- and he was a lesser figure in every way. Imagine is a cringeworthy song.

But he also had this:

same old shit, sixes and sevens Shaft...

I don`t know if `cruel, greedy`are appropriate, but he was certainly a major hypocrite and probably deeply cynical. He really knew how to spew the hippy-isms, but he never let it get in the way of his enjoying the jet-set high life.

Lennon was a rare creative genius that will be remembered with the likes of Bach, Beethoven & Mozart. He was the Beatles. McCartney on his own couldn't have done it, no sincerity in his music, all cheese. Hippies be crazy, deal with it. Cuckservatives can say "oh hes such a baaaad maaan", while getting all funky to Mannheim Steamroller and texting sexy selfies to their entire address books.

Quote:One cannot love Lennon in the way that one loves Mick Jagger, or Jimmy Page -- and he was a lesser figure in every way.

I never have known anyone who loved Page or Jagger enough to say they were even remotely better than Lennon.

RE: John Lennon, a cruel, greedy man?
Came across this the other day.. Which Lennon? Laugh

Quote: Adorno wrote the entire British invasion by modifying classical tunes, and yes he developed different styles for each and every group; he did not compose the music for money, not at all. Adorno was part of a secret society who recognized his amazing skills in teaching/understanding classical music and put them to good use. Before his death in August 1969 (the very reason the Beatles disbanded, as their master composer was gone) Adorno wrote hundreds of songs to be distributed later (1969 - 1975) to various groups, that is why the early 70s music sounded so much better than the late 70s music, and the very reason why Led Zeppelin were musically dead after the last of the Adorno songs, KASHMIR, was included on Physical Graffiti.

There is no way that Paul I, not knowing at all that he would disappear from the public scene after September 1966, could have written Sgt. Pepper, Magical Mystery Tour, White Album, Abbey Road, not to mention the singles, in the timespan of just two months: July-August 1966.

George Martin did not have the genius to produce/create the magic of the Beatles music orchestration/sound.

Paul McCartney II's albums LACK completely the hallmark of what constituted the Beatles songs: that spellbound/miraculous orchestral arrangements unsurpassed to this very day and unprecedented before 1964.

There is only one person who could have done it: Theodor Adorno, his death in August 1969 is what actually put an end to the Beatles.

Paul II, John II, George were given then the remaining Beatles songs (Imagine, Live and Let Die, Admiral Holsy, Give Me Love, My Sweet Lord, Mind Games, My Love and much more) to start up their solo careers...but the magic was gone.

The Beatles did more than anyone else to change American culture. The 1950s culture actually lasted into the sixties and ended in 1964, the year the Beatles landed in America. John Lennon was the leader of the group and a political animal who had contempt for Western Civilization.

The whole "Lennon is the cool one - McCartney is cheesy one" false dichotomy is BS from the Rolling Stone Magazine crowd. It comes from projecting one's personal high school experience of being jealous of the pretty popular people.

George Martin even spoke out about the notion that McCartney was the "pop" guy while Lennon the serious one. He said McCartney was just as innovation and ground breaking.

Eleanor Rigby and Helter Skelter are hardly cheesy insincere pop songs...not mention Let it Be and many others.

People mock McCartney's pop love songs - however most of them are well crafted timeless songs...as are Lennon's work with the Beatles and his collaborations with McCartney.

Have you ever listened to "Oh Yoko!"? I can't think of a more beta song than that. If McCartney had written "Oh Linda!"...the Lennonites would be up in arms! But because Lennon wrote it...is is holy and sacred.

People need to seriously stop turning Lennon and McCartney into Team Edward and Team Jacob.

Agreed, I never really cared for the Beatles as a whole.

The fact he called Yoko "mommy" disgusted me.

RE: John Lennon, a cruel, greedy man?
Lennon was an Illuminati puppet like all famous pop artists
In these lyrics he outlines the new world order
a communist utopia

Imagine there's no heaven
It's easy if you try
No hell below us
Above us only sky
Imagine all the people
Living for today...

Imagine there's no countries
It isn't hard to do
Nothing to kill or die for
And no religion too
Imagine all the people
Living life in peace...

You may say I'm a dreamer
But I'm not the only one
I hope someday you'll join us
And the world will be as one

Imagine no possessions
I wonder if you can
No need for greed or hunger
A brotherhood of man
Imagine all the people
Sharing all the world...

You may say I'm a dreamer
But I'm not the only one
I hope someday you'll join us
And the world will live as one

John Lennon's song "Imagine" illustrates his stupidity and the stupidity of the communists of whom he is a fellow traveler.

If there were no nations or religions, people would go back to killing each other over the same things they killed each other for 200,000 years ago when anatomically modern humans first appeared, food, territory and females.

It's hard to compare all three of them, but Lennon is the complete package. Singer/Songwriter/Musician. Jagger and Page are masters of their specific realm.

Weird taste in women aside, Lennon was pretty far from an SJW. He constantly got into physical fights with members of the press, punched a female reporter in 1970, and beat his first wife regularly. He also wrote several songs expressing doubt about the 60s counterculture movement (most popular is probably Revolution from the White Album). The guy had a rough upbringing and was just a weird dude in general.

John Lennon's reputation has been whitewashed since his death but he definitely wasn't a SJW/cuck type. There's no denying he was massively pussywhipped by that nasty Japanese cave troll though.

It's hard for me to respect someone who had some spiritual "connection" with some talentless scarecrow that looks like a diseased asian leper hiding out in the woods even during her "prime." If Yoko was a genius that would be one thing..but she's actually batshit insane and quite stupid to boot. Lennon was tripping and laying his dick in this nasty hairy bushed bitch. Just think about this for a minute before lighting your lennon shaped candles at home.

Lennon is a musical genius for sure but whatever. I don't know why people can't just separate insane talent from the personal life and move on.

There's no reason to deify every talent out there as some godly virtuous figure.

Kennedy getting assassinated in November, 1963 combined with The Beatles arrival in early 1964, lead the rapid veering away from the 50s culture. My family & friends that lived during that period are pretty universal in that assessment.

Those two events converged to form a clear line of delineation.

Bill Burr on John Lennon being pussy-whipped:

http://www.liveleak.com/view?i=db4_13769...comments=1

I'd cut Lennon a lot of slack though, because his anti-war activism actually got him assassinated. He started out as a major pawn of The Man but starting making a U-turn in the 70s. Believing Mark Chapman did it is just as stupid as believing Oswald killed JFK.

McCartney on the other hand is a dick and an establishment stooge, all he ever did was protest against Canada for the fvcking seals and crap like vegetarianism. His wife died of cancer young, maybe she could have used a more balanced diet...

(OK that was a bit cold ;)

RE: John Lennon, a cruel, greedy man?
That story left out possibly the worst thing he ever did, though! This one is too good for me not to retell, especially in these parts.

People think the PUA crowd is uncaring about women? Ha! Lennon cornered the mark on cruelty towards women before any of us were born.

***

When John and George and their wives left India in the spring of 1968, they had to drive a long ways out of the Maharishi's "meditation camp" back to the airport.

For various reasons, John was disgusted by the whole thing...so he took his anger out on his wife during the long drive. In full earshot of George and Patti Harrison, Lennon proceeded to tell his wife details of every groupie he fucked and every affair he had from the days the band started to become popular in 1963.

There were hundreds of women, some of whom allegedly included female newspaper writers and other women of note. Despite the pleas of everyone in the car for him to SHUT UP, he went on and on as his wife broke down into a sobbing mess.

This is so sadistic and humiliating it's almost comical. And yet his wife Cynthia stayed with him. Until she came home a few weeks later to find Yoko in her house and her bathrobe and John unwilling to speak a word to her.

All of this is pretty public information -- and not gleaned from the trash tabloids, but the good books from "Beatle scholars." Lennon was some piece of work.

That said, most performers are bundles of contradictions and total hypocrites. Lennon was no exception. The difference is that people see him as some sort of saint. I'm old enough to remember before he was murdered; back then he was barely tolerated as an eccentric.

In the LennoNYC biopic from a few years back, we hear another story of how John and Yoko went to a party together where he loudly fucked some other broad in the next room loud enough for Yoko and everyone to hear.

You can see listen to Yoko recount the tale at around the 42 minute mark.

RE: John Lennon, a cruel, greedy man?
I saw a good biographical film on John Lennon on the BBC a few years ago; Lennon Naked, starring Christopher Eccleston as the eponymous character.
[Image: Christopher-Eccleston-cov-006.jpg?w=620&...b98e3c6a8d]

It focuses mainly on Lennon's pain at the way his father abandoned him as a child, and his hypocrisy in regards to how he was with his own son.

Certainly a selfish, troubled man, badly equipped to handle the cultural movement he was at the forefront of. That, coupled with his bizarre attachment to that wailing, hideous woman, should be enough to consider anyone who idolises him a fool.

Good songwriter though
