I recently found out that some close friends (couple and kids) who always seemed the ideal family (like the TV shows from the 1950s and 1960s) had some really dark stuff going on. The father treated his wife and children like crap. (They're not divorced, but that's another issue.)

I was shocked at how clueless I was and what great acting ability they had.

My question is, did you and your wife and children put on an act with outsiders to make it look like everything was great? I apologize if this is too personal, which it probably is.

If you're going to come here and through the Father under the bus, at least give some explicit examples about how he treated his family like crap and how you drew that conclusion.

Insults (including gay slurs to a kid who's not gay, you know what the words are, I don't to get banned) silent treatment, guilt trip, told things like "you're no good, you're worthless" ruining most family celebrations with such behavior etc.

I heard about it from one of his kids as well as his sister.

As to "throwing the father under the bus" I am talking about this specific case only. I am well aware that problems can be the wife's fault, husband's fault, children's fault, more than one person is culpable, or neither spouse is but they're just incompatible.

Silent treatment? Like not giving in to a child's constant demand to be the center of the universe?

Guilt trip? You mean a parent should never make a child feel guilty for their self-indulgent, bad-behavior?

You're no good? Maybe the kid isn't doing good?

If I were you I would take any child's complaining about their parents with a huge grain of salt. Children are not exactly a beacon of objectivity and truth.

Modern day culture hails children as the smart ones and parents as the buffoon's, or tyrants. It's further said children should have a say in their raising, what their punishment should be, and what to eat for dinner. You're post seems to be a reflection of that.

I suspect you've never had children of your own?

Not talking to wife/kids for days especially around Christmas and other holidays.
Using the words bas**rd, worthless, no good,you'll never amount to anything, loser, a***ole, fa**ot, que**, pans*, cocks*****, more often than the kid's first name, bit**,slu*,who** to the mother more often than her name.
This is not about eating all the spinach on your plate, brushing your teeth, or doing homework.
And this I learned many years later after both sons are now over 30; not at the time.

Never believe an "abusive father/husband" sob story without hearing his side of it. Our culture of brainwashed retards immediately sides with women and children and are ready to crucify the male.

Hell, I've fallen for the BS myself in the past.

One quick example: My ex wife came home one day telling me a story about how her friend was just kicked out of her home by her husband. He was an emotionally abusive asshole who called her cruel names and one day just put her out on the street. Even my pre red-pill brain sensed that something about this story didn't add up..

Turns out the "poor sweet wife" with the "abusive asshole husband" was out doing drugs and fucking some loser on the side.

This was like 7 years ago. This woman is recently divorced from her 3rd or 4th marriage. During her most recent divorce, word around town was her latest "cruel and abusive husband" pushed her down the stairs for no reason. The showings of support for her were mind-blowing.

Those of us who aren't blue pill retards know that this likely didn't happen, and there's probably much more to the story. This bitch is a toxic trainwreck.
