They claim discussion and stigmatization - all you're doing is letting the world know what shitty decisions you made and how much of a shitty mother you'd make since you couldn't handle the consequences having a child. My LTR had one (very extremely early), she was hurt by it, she never brings it up, we don't joke about, things were very delicate at that time. Fortunately we've moved past it, she's healed, still emotionally stable, she didn't make it into a fucking hashtag.

I forget the details of the story, but I recall my Grandmother mentioning that many times the loss of a young child was devastating to a mother, even if she had 10 children. Reading Lindy West trying to defend her depravity on her Twitter and it's giving me a headache. Here's a gem that shows an example of a particular dishonest arguing point that I see a lot of pro-abortion people make:



A common tactic used by such people is to give scenarios where tough choices have to be made one way or the other; such as a girl who gets raped or whose life will be in danger if she continues her pregnancy. I think everyone can agree that these sort of situations are truly in a very gray moral area. But then the pro-abortion people then try to stretch this to include situations where the same dire consequences are not present.

I've noticed feminists employing the tactic of taking the most extreme and troublesome scenarios and then sneakily trying to apply it to scenarios where the troublesome conditions don't apply in order to advance their pet causes. The most obvious example is with rape: now it covers anywhere from a woman being overpowered and restrained while a man forces himself upon her to some college chick who feels a bit iffy after having sex with her on and off boyfriend even though they were no problems when they had sex the first 30-40 times. If you suggest there's some shenanigans with the latter scenario then you'll have some harpy screaming "ARE YOU SAYING YOU SUPPORT RAPE" in your face while you scramble to clarify that you are indeed not "pro-rape"; as if anyone (who isn't psychotic) is "pro-rape" but that you are simply suggesting that the latter situation can't be counted as rape without taking away from the graveness of rape. The harpy will the continue to accuse you of being a rape apologist and since that is such a heavy accusation the average person will most likely to insist more and more that he is not a rapist while trying to make his points therefore buying into the harpy's frame.

Lindy's response to that pro-life chick is a good specific example of what I was talking about above. She immediately suggests that the pro-life chick must support women putting their lives in danger in the same way some crazed feminist would suggest that a person who is not sold on the existence of "rape culture" on college campuses must support rape. If you look at the stories on that ridiculous abortion hashtag you'll see a good number of them are basically "I got an abortion just because it was inconvenient for me to pregnant" but these people still want to use the people who had to make tougher decisions as shields to hide behind. They want to be able to justify their own selfish choices but when people point out their selfishness they'll deflect it by saying the accuser by virtue of attacking any specific instance of abortion must also be acting the woman whose life who was in danger during her pregnancy.
