I often approach a 2 or 3 set and for some reason they start to laugh to each other. I don't say anything weird or something like that. I just open with Hey and things like that. Or maybe it's because girls in groups act different?

U are targeting too high of a set imo. On top of that, something else is not right (dress, swag, confidence ect)

If you didnt tell a joke and a set is laughing amongst themselves when you open its time to eject.

Girls that do this are pompous rude bitches. Try opening more humble down to earth chicks.

It really brings down my confidence when they do it. When I approach 1 girl nothing happens but when I approach 2+ girls suddenly something's funny? I don't get it.

It might be that they are just nervous.

If that is obviously not the case then you just need to walk away, you have not lost a thing. If you need a parting shot then try "Excuse me, I mistook you for someone that had something more to offer than just an exterior".

Are you sure they are laughing at you or just at the situation?
This happens to me too and these sets usually hook. I guess they are just laughing at how randomly they just got hit upon by me. Re frame it man, I never think its a bad thing. I believe that they are laughing because me coming up to them is the most awesome thing thats happened to them all day.

this happens with j-girls and maybe just hyperactive/giddy girls, which is a significant portion of them. i don't think they're laughing at you i think they just weren't expecting to talk to a stranger so they're excited/ nervous

YG is on the right track, I feel. Approaching randoms is not common, especially now people have cell phones, are constantly on-line - it reduces the excuse people had for talking to strangers, because why talk to strangers when you just as quickly dial one of your friends? This is ESPECIALLY true for females.

When you cold approach, you have to be prepared to accept it's becoming a more and more random thing to do, so you're going to have be a very cool "cat" with something intelligent to say. In my view, you are essentially competing with her friends - those present and those not present - for attention. Your success will depend on how "cool" you are, and how friendly and outgoing she is.

Some people, a lot of girls I find, are just plain crap at socializing and making strangers feel comfortable, which USED to be an important part of our etiquette and protocol (being polite, kind and putting people at ease) - that's out of your control, so no point reprimanding a girl you approached on the street for that, just because you're bitter she wasn't that into you. No one ASKED you to approach her -you just have to live with a lot of times it's going to be awkward. Until you rock at it.

I wouldn't take this personally. As others have noted, I've had young girls do this as a reflex when approaching before they even know what the content of your opener is going to be. I don't totally understand why they do it, but often their first instinct is to start giggling or laughing before they even know what's going to come out of your mouth. This would happen regardless of who is approaching.

I've also noticed that this instinctual laughing happens more when the alcohol is flowing. It probably only takes like 1 or 2 drinks for these little girls to get pretty fucking silly, so naturally at that point everything is funny. This probably works to your advantage.

Laughter doesn't necessarily mean anything. It could be a sort of initial shit-test, a sign of general stupidity (she doesn't have the social sophistication to express herself with words and complex body language), or--and this is most likely--simple discomfort. Younger girls, especially, seem to only know three reactions to uncomfortable situations: laugh, turn their back, say something straight-up rude. Of the three, I'd say laughter gives you the most to work with. It takes years before they develop some of the more "advanced" avoidance strategies: smart-alec refusals or the one-word answer (the most difficult, frankly, of the bunch).

I have girls laugh like this somewhat often and usually flash a million-dollar alpha smile or chuckle and barrel right through it. It usually means nothing and I never let it shake my confidence.

Have you tried it? It's field tested and my experiences have been positive. I've had girls switching from bitchy to apologetic in seconds. Bitterness is not something carried in words but in tone and body language.

Deliver that line as a casual statement, matter-of-fact.

Definitely not a good thing, very humiliating. I just walk away and pretend they don't exist if they laugh at me. If a woman is into you they will definitely not act like that so don't waste your time with them.

Sometimes, depending on the age group (I'm in college) it's a nerves/anxiety thing. If you approach a group of shy girls, they'll probably have no clue wtf is going on and laugh. It's not at you, but they're just excited. This could be good or bad, probably bad because it shows a lack of experience, maturity, and hints at prudeness from what I've experienced. If a girl flat out laughs AT YOU, IN YOUR FACE, or it's obviously meant to make you feel like crap, don't put up with it and do what I did when that happened this weekend: slap an irresistible smirk on your face, and just walk away. Next thing I knew the girls followed me across a jam-packed club and started talking to me. Crab-1 Bitchy girls-0
