Trigger warning! This post contains a nasty looking woman

A former Star Trek actress exposed herself to some young children.

Quote:Jennifer Ann Lien, 41, who played medical assistant “Kes” in the first three season of Star Trek: Voyager, was arrested on two counts of exposing herself to a child under the age of 13.
Neighbor Carey Smith says Lien walked by her home on September 3 and commented on her crying children, saying they weren’t being cared for properly. “She started saying vulgar things. I mean really vulgar things, I told her to mind her own business and keep on walking,” said Smith.
That’s when things got weird.
“All of a sudden, here come the shirt up. She started flashing and, ‘Woo hoo,’ and I said, ‘And what respect is that for kids?’ There was none. And then she turned around and dropped her pants,” said Smith.
Worried that things might escalate, Smith called 911.

For context, she lives in Harriman TN...which is like a town out of deliverance. Her insanity probably fits in well with the local hillbillies and meth addicts. To end up in the place she's had to have been off the rails for a long time.

Aww man, I was watching some Voyager the other day and thinking 'WB'. Another dream crushed.

Anyone notice that a lot of Star Trek alumni women are now hideous compared to when they were on the shows? I know it goes without saying because its been several years, but damn the Wall really hit them hard.

I think Jeri Ryan is about the only one that held up well.

And don't forget, her character was the proto sjw, all loving and accepting. Is this always where it ends up? You start off accepting people exactly as they are, and end up expecting people to accept you exactly as you are, warts and all, but especially the warts.

I think it is funny too that a couple forum members had the very same reaction I did to reading this in the newspaper. It reminded them of Star Trek Voyager, which reminded them of Jeri Ryan, which side tracked them, and me, onto:


"I wonder how she is looking these days."


And onward to Google images for a few minutes. Search term "Jeri Ryan 2015."

This could almost belong in "You Know You've Become a True RVFer When . . ."

I always found her character fucking annoying and superfluous. The series as a whole was weak anyway. bar a handful of really strong episodes. She was the Voyager equivalent of whiney bitch Deanna Troi from The Next Generation (I always thought Crusher was hotter, too) but with short hair and no cleavage.

That recent pic of her too...good grief.

And what was the very first thing the female captain did when she gained command of the ship? She got the entire crew lost.

The Borg episodes in Voyager are rather weak, because the series completely neutered them. They went from nearly unstoppable, terrifying evil in TNG to being minor nuisances for the Voyager crew.

The good episodes are all the ones that focus primarily on The Doctor, who underwent very well-written character development throughout the series.

Women in Star Trek have never really been that hot to begin with, so it's not hard to imagine they'd hit the wall hard. Women in Star Trek seem to be selected for being "nerd hot", meaning they're just attractive enough to be bangable and fantasize about, but they're not so hot as to seem unattainable to the swath of geeks watching.

Either that, or Star Trek women age worse because the Star Trek men suck all the life out of them to stay young.

Patrick Stewart is definitely a badass.

Reminds me of how Sean Connery aged so well too. I remember when "The Rock" came out while I was in high school and the girls would be talking about how hot he was and that they would still hook up with him (he was in his 60's at the time).
