Corbyn strikes me as a Bolshevik LARPer. He even wears Lenin's hat. It's like if there were some right-wing politician sporting a Hitler-stache. It's completely idiotic.

The man calls terrorist groups his "friends", supports giving the Falklands to the Argentinians and is economically illiterate.

Beautiful.

He's a better leader than Miliband, however he will lose by even more than Miliband did. This isn't the 1970s anymore. The Labour Party doesn't stand up for the common man, in blue collar jobs or supporting football/sports fans. They just care about some 'minimum wage' nonsense for jobs which are actually incredibly unproductive.

The fact is that since the start of the 90s we have become much less left wing, yet the Labour party doesn't recognise this.

They did - Tony Blair was basically a Tory in Labour clothes. He was the guy who got rid of free university education for example.

He also sucked George W Bush's dick so hard you see Bush's testicle imprints on Blair's chin. If he had any sense at all he would never have got UK involved in the Iraq invasion in 2003 - it was obviously bullshit. UK was never involved in the Vietnam War so there was a precedent of UK saying no the US. Blair was known as Bush's poodle when he was PM.

I think a lot of “traditional” working class Labour supporters realise they were fucked over by Blair (who was more towards the centre). He encouraged mass immigration from Eastern Europe which lowered wages for the “common man”. Now they want to go even more left.

I’m not a fan of the Tories, but the actions of Labour’s left wing disgust me – look at the former London mayor Ken Livingstone:(article from 2012)

Quote:Throughout his career, Livingstone has been known for his love of newts, his hatred of the establishment and his association with far-left figures such as Venezuelan president Hugo Chavez and Irish Sinn Fein president Gerry Adams. After controversially meeting Adams in 1983, Livingstone said that Britain’s treatment of the Irish over the last 800 years had been worse than Adolf Hitler’s treatment of the Jews.

Livingstone built his career upon identity politics, strongly promoting minorities such as the gay and Muslim communities. In this election campaign, for example, he has promised to make London a “beacon” for the words of the prophet Muhammed (though he ignited a political storm this February when he remarked that the Conservative party was “riddled” with homosexuals).

Speaking last month at the North London Central Mosque, which was formerly the base of the radical Muslim preacher and terrorist recruiter Abu Hamza, Livingstone vowed to “educate the mass of Londoners” in Islam. “That will help to cement our city as a beacon that demonstrates the meaning of the words of the Prophet… I want to spend the next four years making sure that every non-Muslim in London knows and understands [the prophet’s] words and message.”

But he seemed willing to sacrifice his relationship with the Jewish community. In 2005, he came under fire for calling Oliver Finegold, a Jewish reporter for the Evening Standard newspaper, a concentration camp guard, and comparing him to a German war criminal. The next year, he told two Indian-born Jewish businessmen who were involved in a dispute over a facility for the 2012 London Olympics to “go back to Iran and try their luck with the ayatollahs.” When asked to apologise, he said, “I would offer a complete apology to the people of Iran to the suggestion that they may be linked in any way to the Reuben brothers. I wasn’t meaning to be offensive to the people of Iran.”

And there have been persistent concerns over his association with radical Islamists, in particular his decision as mayor to host Sheikh Yusuf al Qaradawi, a radical Egyptian cleric who has supported suicide bombings in Israel, and his decision to present shows on Press TV, the global English-language television channel controlled by the Iranian government. He is an impassioned supporter of the Palestinians, excusing Palestinian suicide attacks, accusing Israel of ethnically cleansing the Palestinians and, during Operation Cast Lead in 2009, of the “slaughter and systematic murder of innocent Arabs.” He has said more than once that he considered former Israeli prime minister Ariel Sharon a war criminal who belonged in jail.

The left wing of the Labour party is full of cunts like Ken Livingstone.

He has an even greater list of achievements in the transport department. Those outside the UK could never understand the unfathomable hatred anyone who drives a car burns with for Ken Livingstone:

Hahahaha

I love this guy, he's so stereotypical that you couldn't even write him into a story because people would say he was a 2-dimensional character.

I view Corbyn winning as great news. No matter what, the neoliberal globalist establishment represented by both the center-right and center-left parties (Democrats and Republicans; Conservatives and Labour; UMP and PS -- take your pic) is the enemy. I view attacks from the left, far-left or new-right as equally worth supporting. Same reason I was in favor of UKIP during the last elections even though I thought their economic policy was garbage. Same reason I support the FN in France, whose economic policy is actually quite good and who probably represent a strong way forward for Western politics (nationalist anti-immigration + pro-welfare state).

Still I disagree with the whole bunch on a lot. Corbyn too. He really is an orthodox lefty true-believer, and while I'm with him on most economic issues he makes a lot of mistakes there (his tax plan is bad; his People's QE is very good indeed though not perfect) I think he's gravely mistaken on a lot of social issues and immigration. But, it's a big strike against the neoliberal 'Blatcherite' British establishment, so I'll take it and be happy about it indeed.

Jeremy Corbyn branded 'disloyal' after refusing to sing national anthem on day of shambles for new Labour leader

Quote:Jeremy Corbyn was on Tuesday branded “disloyal” for refusing to sing the national anthem on a day of chaos which saw one of his shadow cabinet ministers threaten to resign over the European Union.

The new Labour leader faced heavy criticism for standing in silence while God Save the Queen was played during a Battle of Britain remembrance ceremony at St Paul’s Cathedral attended by the Prime Minister, Defence Secretary and scores of military leaders.

Former military commanders as well as Labour and Tory MPs said he was “dishonourable” for refusing to sing the national anthem.

Mr Corbyn later insisted that he “stood in respectful silence” during the remembrance ceremony.

In contrast to other leaders and dignitaries at the event, Mr Corbyn wore a mismatched suit and the top button on his shirt appeared to be undone.
....

Mr Corbyn was on Monday evening forced to issue a statement after hours of criticism over his decision not to sing the national anthem.

Asked if Mr Cameron was surprised Mr Corbyn had not sung the anthem, the Prime Minister's official spokeswoman said: "The importance the Prime Minister attaches to the National Anthem is visible - every time he's at one of these services or a state or national event, he is very proud and willing to join with others in singing the National Anthem."

Admiral Lord West of Spithead, a Labour peer and former security minister, said: “Singing the national anthem is a sign of loyalty to the United Kingdom and British people. I cannot believe that the people of our great nation could contemplate a Prime Minister who lacks that loyalty.”

Sir Nicholas Soames, a Tory MP and the grandson of Winston Churchill, said not singing the anthem was "very rude and very disrespectful" to the Queen and "the Battle of Britain pilots who gave their all".

Sir Nicholas said: "It was an extremely disrespectful thing and I think he needs to make his mind up whether he is a grown-up or not."

And Simon Danczuk, a Labour MP, said: “Jeremy is struggling to realise he is not just a backbench MP now. He might get away with not singing the national anthem in North Islington, but he is the leader of Her Majesty’s Loyal Opposition.

“It is dishonourable to turn up at an event like this and not sing the anthem. If I did that in Rochdale I would get hung, drawn and quartered.

“He has responsibility to pay respect to those that were being remembered at events like this.”

A spokesman for Mr Corbyn said: “Jeremy attended [the] event to show respect for those who fought in conflicts for Britain.

“As he said in the words issued this morning, the heroism of the Royal Air Force in the Battle of Britain is something to which we all owe an enormous debt of gratitude.

What a fucking moron - he should try acting like an adult!

If you support the 'full' welfare state, you aren't red pill. I can't tell to what extent you support it, but why should my hard work be used on others? What we have now is fine. There should be benefits for the elderly, disabled and those out of work for up to a year. Working age adults who haven't been working for over a year should get just enough to survive. That's what I think we should have

Meaningless statement. I would support someone who wants to significantly expand the welfare state above someone who wants to reduce it. But if it were up to me, we would get rid of most of the welfare system as it currently exists (except for social security for retirees and single payer medical care) and replace it will with a job guarantee program.

I'm really disappointed in him. We need someone more like Trump here in the UK.

Don't be surprised. Cuckservatism originated in the UK (liberal economics and ever more liberal social mores). Show me the cuckold who would rather not be seen as 'intolerant' by his wayward wife's supporting friends and I'll show you the cuckservative who fears being called a bigot by globalists.

Farage says he supports Corbyn, Corbyn would rather burn the flag of the International that say that he supports Farage. The unrequited love of the cuckservative indeed.
