Has anybody heard anything from President Obama regarding his stance on the proper leadership in Syria? I find it confusing that his cabinet is against Assad, but have yet to state whom they want in control. Removing him seems like it would create a negative vacuum for power. An ISIS controlled Syria could be devastating on a global scale.

This man, a former Middle East peace envoy, can say with a straight face how Libya is more stable now that Qaddafi is dead and gone, his iron grip removed and thousands of rebels and terrorists roaming freely around a country, allowing those in Egypt free reign across the border.

The Middle East was much more stable with despots like Ghadaffi and Hussein in power. To not understand this is to be either truly ignorant or blind.

Whether you admire or hate Putin you have to respect his ability to confront western main stream media and consistently reply with logical, witty statements. He is very cool under pressure and you can detect this guy is light years ahead of western politicians in terms of intelligence. I always make it a point to watch his interviews.

Like most talented judokas, V. Putin likes strategy and counter-attacks, and takes his time to win. But, I think that in Syria, he'll try to quickly crush his enemies... I mean, Putin does like intelligent long-term strategy, and usually doesn't use quick and brute force, but with ISIS, gloves are off and he'll fight like in MMA: no more subtle judo strategies here...

Central African Republic doesn't have 10,000 nukes, so the world can never know what would happen if it did. That doesn't make the statement that the CAR presents no nuclear threat to the world in any way disingenuous. So no, Putin's argument was not "brilliantly presented," it was a simple statement of fact.

(A) We had 50B USD to spend
and
(B) We spent 50B USD
are not equivalent but also are not mutually exclusive.

That is the trick to Putin's argument. Do you really think they stopped strategic air operations because they wanted to be good world citizens? They couldn't afford to maintain the aircraft!

The video is brilliant propaganda, for which I give Putin credit, but Russia doesn't really hold moral high ground as presented.
