Stick to your original plan and bang these girls! And then have them make you a sandwich.

Edit: Just noticed this thread was kinda old. OP what happened with the class?

RE: First day of taking a women's literature course
If anybody is curious of what happened, I finished the class with a C and got a fuck-buddy as well.

The class was so incredibly boring and by the 3rd week, I stopped trying. Each class was the same: Every day we would have to read a biography of a female writer and some of her works and then discuss them for 60+ minutes.

90% of the writers were mentally ill. One of them whose name I can't remember killed herself by sticking her head in an oven (and our 55 year old hippy professor claimed that it was the woman's husband who drove her to madness). Anyways, Thanks to the stupidity of this class, I ended up changing my major from English to computer science and I haven't looked back since.

My confidence is so high that I should probably trademark it

I'm curious did you fake the male feminism or did you hint at your inner shitlord?

^ I just presented myself as being neutral. Although I'm pretty sure that my professor could tell that I wasn't interested whatsoever.

Good choice.

Make sure you use your time after you finish your degree to make your own software product that will allow you to eventually work for yourself and not maintaining some 'brain dead' blotted corporate system/software/product.

You made a good choice. With computer science, you can write your own programs and sell direct to end customers.

With English you could have . . . . . . . been stuck in minimum wage jobs for the rest of your life.

One word of advice, as soon as you get out of school, and are working, yourself or someone else, pay everything off (debt) and save as much as possible so you can retire in 20 or 30 years if you need or want to. It will also give you financial reserves in 10 years that would allow you to take advantage of opportunities if they arise.

While one is not always to save, especially if you have trouble getting a reasonable job for several years, or are laid off without any income for months (or even a few years, I saw this after the 2008/2009 crash with some people), having a financial reserve will allow you to get through it without any problems.

Another thing to watch out for, do NOT go get advanced degrees unless there is some really compelling reason (i.e. make a LOT more money) to do so. Today, there are all kinds of people spending tens of thousands of dollars and years of their lives to chase advanced degrees that are going to net them nothing in the end (i.e. the cost of the advanced degree is more than the amount of money they will get for completing it). Many people now, in an effort to make more money or change fields, are spending tens of thousands of dollars with the expectation that they will make more money, but end up making the same or less than prior to spending the money.
