When I lived in Bangkok I remember reading in an article about nurses not permitted to be overweight, for the obvious and logical reason that they are supposed to be promoting health. In the U.S., most nurses I've seen are overweight, and some obese, it's ridiculous. I like the Asians' no bullshit philosophy on these matters

I remember that around the end 90s there happened an attractiveness shift in the global stewardesses. They hired more gays and started getting more old, fat and ugly birds. I used to work for a major US airline. You wouldn't believe how much management bent over backwards for those ungrateful fat old slobs. I for one hope that the Emirates of the world crush the US airlines, since with the gap in attitudes (never mind appearance), they don't deserve to succeed.

I was pulling out what was left of my hair just having to deal with a China restricted Internet during two weeks in Shanghai over Christmas. A China dominated world sounds like one of the lower circles of hell to me.
