The woman was able to escape the house with a friend before Rose and his friends allegedly broke into her apartment and gang raped her while she was incapacitated.

The woman claims she waited two years to file the suit because she was ashamed and embarrassed of what occurred that night.
Rose has struggled with injuries since his MVP season, missing all of the 2012-13 season and playing in just 10 games the following season. He played in 51 games last season, averaging 17.7 points, and was expected to improve his play this coming season following the two knee surgeries.
Rose and the Bulls have not responded to the allegations.

This story sounds like bullshit. So far the NY Post is the most credible source reporting it.

High profile athletes have the darnedest time getting laid so they all, without a doubt, resort to drugs in order to have sex. I mean, what girl in her right mind would provide intercourse to a high-level athlete without his expressed commitment? Derrick Rose definitely drugged her.

The reason he's not in jail is because she filed a civil suit, as opposed to a criminal one. Basically, she hasn't reported anything to the police, and is basically skipping first base and going to the bank err... third base.

Though if I may speak freely, I'm not going to evaluate a person based off how they come off in interviews and how many assists he dishes out. If what she is saying is true, that is supremely fucked. However, skipping a criminal suit makes it look like she's just gunning for a settlement. Would not be surprised if whoever is representing her approached his people beforehand and tried to get something out of them before. All the negative publicity for his brand and she never has to take the stand.

This is not surprising at all. She knows that with the direction the culture is heading is a lot of people will assume he is guilty based on accusation alone, so there is a chance he will settle to make it go away. Though he might not, but even if he doesn't there won't be any consequences. It is basically a lottery tickets with much better odds. Sad what our society was come to. The only surprising thing is this isn't happening more.

I'm not even surprised by this, how many times has a similar situation happened to celebrities already ?

I don't know the guy or anything, but she could have picked a more credible target, as D. Rose seems to be quite the stand up family guy.

I hope his reputation won't take too much of a hit and that he'll come out strong next season to prove that he was unphazed by it.

I call bullshit on this chick's story. If she had gone to the police and secured a conviction then the civil trial payout would be a guarantee, but she did not involve the police and went straight to a civil trial-Bullshit.

Furthermore, Mr. Rose breaks into her apartment to sexually assault her after she "escapes" his Beverly Hills mansion? Bullshit, Cowshit, Horseshit and Birdshit.

All of this coupled with the absurdity of this man breaking into her home to finish his conquest?

This is the same guy who supposedly had an ongoing relationship with the plantiff so what would be his rationale for drugging then gang-raping her, what would possess him to do such a thing? Furthermore - there's PLENTY of woman out there who would partake in a 3-way with "regular" guys after two rum and cokes. Not to mention, with someone of his fame.

Let's see he has 2 year old son, this supposedly happened a couple years ago...could it be that he told her he was curving her for his baby's mother?

This type of story makes it hard for actual rape victims to be taken seriously. If she is making it all up, she probably should have thought it out a lot more; there's more holes in this story than swiss cheese.

As others pointed out there are way many too holes in her story. The funniest thing here is the part where Rose "broke into" her house with his boys to gang rape her lol.

She feels like she's owed something for indulging Rose and his weird fantasies. Now she wants to be paid.

This looks like a shakedown pure and simple. Plate doesn't get upgraded to wife, gets pissed, goes after the money. The complaint alleges they drugged her, then followed her back to her house and broke in to be able to have their way with her. Yes, "they," instead of banging multiple girls apiece they all wanted to share this one. It's like she's not even trying to make this believable.

Absolutely. She should go to jail if and when her story falls apart and is deemed to have no merit. Right now women are encouraged to swing for the fences with regards to faux rape stories and also in divorce due to the unbelievable bias against men in the court system.
