Is that a concert/sports hall? I doubt there will be 10k people. A lot of times clubs exaggerate the numbers for advertising purposes. Be braver than usual, you can get away with a lot more shit, just because there's so many girls to hit on. I see it's 8 till 2 event, so I'd expect the first 2-3 hours to be slow and if you meet earlier a girl you clicked with, progress the interaction as the night progresses. Also check out around 8-9 if bathroom pulls are possible. At most places they have bribe able cleaning ladies or security nearly throughout the whole party, but at others it's a free zone. If you'll go for a bathroom fuck, do it quicker. If the toilet's all over with piss and pieces of toilet paper, won't be an enjoyable experience for anybody. If you or your homies got some good gear, if a chick asks you, it might help. It also does wonders to cock blocking. If you ask them if they want though and she's very anti-gear, this may hinder her coming home with you.
Don't forget to enjoy your time at the club. When we're having the most fun, people would approach us or when we talk/dance with others, we'd click immediately and some crazy stuff would ensue.

Hey man,

I've recently started getting into this dance game stuff. I think I am quite decent now.

I have had no schooling or education whatsoever.. I just found videos by takesomecrime on youtube and I saw that he was having so much fun dancing, and if he is, why couldn't I? So I tried to model his dancing and found myself having fun with it, that is how it started. Here are a couple of my favourites, and its a style I try to imitate:

I have probably gone clubbing ~30 times the past 7 months, since I turned 19 (age requirement here). When I started dancing, I met a couple guys, professional dancers, at this place I was frequenting. These guys are GOOD, and I'm assuming they are at a very similar level to you. They do dancing mostly for fun though, not to pick up girls. Although if they wanted to, the amount of pussy they could get would be endless.

Anyways, over time these guys, now my friends, have actually started telling me how I am actually dancing pretty well now. And over the past week, my confidence has shot up, because girls are now approaching me while I dance solo, grinding on me and cheering me on. After that happened, I have started pulling them in to dance, and spinning them, picking them up and such. I've also started hearing the following - your dancer aren't you? How many years have you done this? Do you take classes? All stuff I'm sure you've heard thousands of times, but it makes me think I am on the right track.

And also, your comment about the shoes.. Should I just wear my converse sneakers to dance, does it even matter? I ask because I have been using my decent looking shoes: http://imgur.com/Xop44. I feel as if I wear converse though I'm just wearing what every other dude is wearing.

But most importantly, my question to you.. would you say it is all about exposure? I don't have time to get into any classes, although I want to become as good as I possibly can. I am vibing with the music, and am getting better at moving with the beat. But would you say with enough exposure, willingness to learn, and combine that with a fun attitude while dancing and the ability to not give a shit.. Is that all you need to become excellent at dance floor game? I want to know if this is an investment now, so that within a few months or a year I can finally start to pull and be the best dancer at the club.

It's up to you - how much money do you want to waste? Also there are cheap shoes that look decent and aren't converse.

It's all practice. You can get lessons from the dancers you've already met. Just keep practicing, it's around 80% subconscious, and before you know it you'll be swooping girls instinctively.

Following the post I made, I went out last night, and attempted more of the same I have been doing recently. This time I found a girl that was very receptive, and I was actually able to pull for the first time ever from a club. This stuff works man!

And do you have any suggestions for shoes? Preferrably something that isn't worn commonly, works well with dark jeans/khakis, and inexpensive (<$80).

Great links, Nascimento. I really liked how that guy incorporates so many different styles including tektonics, which I almost never see in North America, although its huge in Europe and Asia. I almost always get remarks on it from girls who've never seen the style.

Keep at it: I cut my teeth on dancing at raves and hip hop bars in the late 90's and early 2000's and I would've killed to have these resources like youtube and rooshv forum. All I had was "Darren's Dance Jams" back then.

Many are not into salsa music. Dancing salsa is very difficult too but this a good "fake salsa". It´s much easier and is more fun at least for non latin guys.

There are two types of clubs in my region: 1 is hip hop and the other is this new EDM. There is no trance or dance club music, only hip hop and neo-EDM.

Please, oh wise Samseau, give me some guidance on how to feel this type of music, get into its groove and throw down some basic moves to help me with the girlies. I find that I'm in just such a different headspace and I cannot connect, much to my detriment.

These are two tracks as examples of the two types of clubs:

1) hip hop



I see mostly the freak grind and reverse grind goin on in the dance floor with this, but whenever I've tried to break the ice by nonverbally initiating the grind it fails.

2) EDM mainstream remixes



The crowd at these clubs is infinitely cooler than the trashy crowds at the hip hop club, but this music f'n confuses me more how to move whether or not I'm hanging with Molly that night LOL!!!!! A couple weeks ago I tried to just do "what felt natural" and be totally NOT self-conscious and move like I thought I saw others move to this type of beat, and wouldn't-you-know but it repelled the girls. Quite the opposite of the desired attraction I sought. Thankfully this was at a club I infrequently visit a couple hours away from my hometown.

Ok I'm going to risk asking a dumb question...

But what do you if you sweat? It's pretty warm in the dance clubs, especially in the summertime. Even with air conditioning..a few hundred people dancing and heat from the lights and electronic equipment. I'm in ok shape. Not an athlete. But when I dance with any kind of moves...I get sweaty. My dress shirt gets sweaty and then it's well...not good.

Learn some bboy? That's pretty much the only dance that will impress at a hip hop club, and even then it's no guarantee. Hip hop clubs aren't good venues for dance game, it's probably suited more for a tall jacked dude who wears baggy pants.

I've picked up girls while sweaty. I've also grossed out girls while sweaty.

I try not to dance too hard unless the girl I'm with is into me. When you first start dancing, keep your movements light so you don't break out in sweat too much. When you find a girl that likes you, it's okay to dance harder and sweat more. As long as she's sweating it doesn't matter if you're sweating.

This. Yesterday, I was just dancing and screwing around with my buddies when I saw a group of women I had interacted with previously. I pulled one of the girls in to dance, and she was very receptive, we were close grinding, I was spinning her, picking her up etc. I started to sweat like crazy, but so did she, and if anything that just added to the emotion and tension of the moment. I escalated body touching and her facial expressions were just ecstasy, I had her hand behind my neck and it was a pool of sweat.

By the way, I can vouch one again for this dance floor game.. I was able to pull a couple nights ago because of it. Greatly aroused her, had her extremely attracted, so I just told her she should leave with me, and she did.

A new spin move I just learned, can easily distinguish a good from a decent dancer.

Grab both her hands with yours. Now you will spin yourself and her by swinging both yours and her arms in the same direction (right or left). She should follow the cue and spin with you. Could take 1 or 2 tries to get it right, but when you do, it is golden.

Great stuff Samseau... Though I think there is a minority of people who can use this game... I have seen a good friend jumping inside groups of girls, doing cool moves and getting approval from them. But in order for this to happen, you must be very attractive and have solid dancing and communication skills. Unfortunatelly I don't belong to this minority (specially with regard to dancing!), so while you go to the dance floors, I think I will prefer to be near the bar chatting with the girls

Hey samseau, just wanted to thank you for this thread. When I read it combined with roosh's posts on social dancing i got into swing dancing music in a big way. It's definitely rounded out my dance game well, also it give me access to girls who take way better care of themselves than my countries average. Girls who swing dance as a hobby are always skinny and by the time you've had a dance your hand have been all over them so it's a very easy transition to a bar then a hook up, though I find I have a way easier time with girls who are just beginning or at least have been dancing for less than a year.

It's also a great bit of chat with non dance girls you meet at night. It appears every girl likes a man who can dance, I've taken a few girls to a beginners class as a first date and ended with a bang.

Just a props post, this thread, along with roosh's social dance posts, really upped my game. Thank you.

Bill, I've been dancing salsa for more than 11 years, and I am best at the partnering aspect of salsa dancing, and certainly the partnering aspect of salsa has considerable advantages b/c that is when you have opportunities to touch the girl in various ways and to test her responsiveness towards you. Now, if you have the solo techniques that you describe and you can incorporate those solo techniques into salsa or any other partnering dance, then you will be set b/c then you are able to mix the styles and to have the best of both worlds.

Let's say for example the song is 5 minutes long, which is about average. You can partner dance with the girl for about 2 minutes to feel her out and to test her level and her ability to follow you, and you can mix in your individual solo type dancing and disco type techniques. I have found that salsa music is very receptive to incorporating these various kinds of solo dancing, and if you have some solo dancing moves that are not being done by other guys, the girls really go for that kind of shit. They eat it up, and many of the girls will want to dance with you b/c you are fun and innovative, and hopefully you also have enough partnering skills to make them look good with the partner dancing portion. This may work with some other dance genres, as well, and here I am merely referring to salsa b/c from experience, i know that salsa has this kind of latitude to incorporate styles and individualism and solo dancing.. especially b/c the guy is leading what is being done next, and even if the people around you are not sure about whether the dance has that kind of latitude, you can likely make the dance into such and cause the girls to really dig dancing with you b/c you have a unique style that compliments the salsa dancing.

On the other hand, if you are not very comfortable with the partner dancing portion, then you just have to practice being innovative in the ways in which you meld the solo dancing and the partnering.
