Just wanted to give a quick update.

So, here I am a little over a year later and I know a handful of Latin dances to include, salsa, bachata, merengue and I can even get down to some reggaeton. Learning how to dance has been the biggest improvement to my game so far. My confidence has gone up ten fold. I'm no longer shy about asking women to dance, now I just grab their hand and get at it! I feel like it only gets better from here.

Been going to a swing dance club since the New Year. This is some fun shit. Started out as a beginner with a little salsa experience prior. Also have a music background so rhythm ain't no thang

Three weeks in, I'm definitely better relative to some of the beginners in the lessons. Now I'm watching videos on swing dips and tricks so I'll be doing dips while they're still triple stepping.

From talking to some of you guys, I know some of you are interested in starting swing/dance. Some quick tips that got me from girl giving me confused looks to "you're a really good leader..."

• Be real obvious when you lead. You want her to go right? Tilt your palms toward the direction you want to go. Seems obvious but I didn't do this at first
• If you're starting out in the initial lessons, don't wait for the instructor to tell you what to do. Take the girl's hand and immediately start leading-shifting your weight and making sure she follows you. You can even just start dancing if the class is boring/slow
• Addendum to the above: When practicing a new move, the instructor will give you a 4 count (5, 6, 7, 8....) and work the class together through moves. If you've got your rhythm down and know what you're gonna do, no need to wait for that 4 count, just go
• Come free dance time, 66% time watching, 33% copying what the cool kids do. See a leader whose style you like, follow what they're doing. After the dance is up, go ahead and no homo let him know he got a good dance game. Pick his mind a little-maybe he'll even teach you a few moves.

Guys, how do you dance in electronic music clubs/raves so you can pull a girl? In clubs where they play hip hop I can get girls to grind on me or even grab their hand then transition to make-out and dance to the rythm but for the life of me I cant figure out electronic music dance with a girl. Also, in one particular club I go to 80% of the place is on molly, I prefer not to take it but I feel lower energy compared to other people, by the time its 4am im slumped but others are having the time of their lives, what's the best strategy here?

Just be high energy and go for it. A trick to not burn as much energy is to just Bob your head, pump your fists and constantly switch them and move side to side just a little bit. That will make you look like a you are moving a ton more than you are. Dance next to some chicks and make eye contact and smile.

Then go to the classic dance game isolation pull is "let's go outside and get some air" "I'm thirsty, let's get a drink" all while pulling on their hand to come with you.
