Just playing devil's advocate( mind you I want him to be faking black just for entertainment value) what if his mother cheated on the "legal" father and he signed the birth certificate before it became apparent that the kid was not his? I have seen this happen before where a man assumed the kid was his and the baby looked less and less like him as it got older , but he was on the hook for child support because he signed the birth certificate and "best interest of the child" took precedence over negative DNA test results. I have seen this situation with mixed race and same race children, it is a messy situation and not uncommon. I say this because he does not look like his siblings, and his family background looks like it may be possible.....

I have a story about that. I knew a girl who was applying to grad schools for physical therapy and despite having pretty good grades she was having issues with getting admitted for whatever reason. One day I was hanging out with her at the student cafe and she asked me if I noticed anything different about her. I said no besides the fact that she had dyed her hair dark brown. She then said she done something else and had the two of us walk over to stand underneath a light. I still didn't see a difference. She told me she actually had gotten a fake tan along with the brown dye job because she was trying to look Hispanic for her next grad school interview since the school was a HSI (Hispanic Serving Institution). She also had plans to tell the college people she was Cuban on her mother's side. I should add that the tan totally was not convincing since she's white as hell thanks to being Irish.

Not to throw away your whole post, because I agreed with so much of it, but you are missing some information if you think Asians haven't been discriminated against during their 'short history' in the United States. The Chinese faced heavy discrimination during the early days of California and were treated as second class, and disposable, laborers during the building of the railroads across the west. Japanese and Asians who looked Japanese were placed in internment camps during World War II. These are just the most obvious cases and stuff that I thought was taught in all public schools so I couldn't let this comment pass.

My theory is that these two cases, and probably others we haven't heard of yet, where whites try to 'pass' as minorities has to do with a strong case of white guilt. Guilt is a very selfish emotion! On the surface it may seem selfless, oh this person is so remorseful about things that happened in the past. White guilt is selfish as well, it's not just about feeling bad about what whites have done in the past but also this strong need to be perceived and convince yourself that you're the different one. You're the special snowflake. Whites are so evil (but not me!). I think the self induced shame becomes so much that these people try to pass as some other minority to assuage their guilt and sooth their ego.

But really... who knows! They are a little off in the head, some people can't be figured.

I see it in a lot of young whites, especially if they have a little bit of 'something else' in them. Where I live it's all the 'natives' with blue eyes and blond hair, qualifying for free health care and special advantages on government contracts. Don't you dare try to question their 'heritage' though.

When I was applying to colleges back in the day, my dad told me to mark down 'Pacific Islander' as the race, since his dad is Hawaiian. I never did, cause I didn't give a shit then, but I knew what he was getting at. If you can get a legit leg up on something, do it. If you can't, fake it till you get caught.

Come on now. Being treated as "second class" or as disposable laborers hardly amounts to discrimination, nor is it some kind of phenomenon limited to Chinese immigrants working on the railroad. Every white ethnic group can spin this same type of grievance mongering about how poorly their ancestors were treated upon arrival in America. Even uber-WASPs can try and cry rivers of tears about their indentured servant ancestors, who were little more than slaves. I have very, very little sympathy for this type of bullshido, especially coming from Asian Americans (not saying you are one), most of whom lead extremely privileged lives and wouldn't know a railroad sledge-hammer if it hit them in the face. Nor would their parents, grandparents, or any other ancestors, since very, very few Asians in the United States today are descended from 19th century railroad workers. Most came long after, once the hard physical labor of building this country had been accomplished by others, and all that was left for them to do was enjoy the spoils of that labor.

Japanese internment was not discrimination against Asians. It was a precautionary measure taken against a nationality, the Japanese, during a time of war. I heartily doubt other Asians who happened to be in America at the time shed any tears for the Japanese, seeing as how the Japanese were busily engaged in murdering and raping their relatives all over Asia and Oceania. Moreover, you really suggesting that Koreans, Chinese, Filipinos, etc should get preferences over whites, in America, because of whatever injustices real or perceived the Japanese suffered at the hands of the United States government during WWII? Lest we forget, it was the efforts of the (overwhelmingly white) US armed forces that saved those very nations from brutal Japanese occupation and a long term fate of being little more than slave sex farms for the Japanese. Well, he did mention a "scandalous" past in his Twitter meltdown. From his tweets it seems his family is convoluted as hell. However, he's been wildly inconsistent so I'm leaning towards him being a fraud.
