Through my work I've been meeting alot of 30-40 yo girls lately who are attractive physically, but display alot of independence.

Thats what women's lib did, and I am generally supportive of that kind of equality.

They wear expensive clothes, nice heels, expensive perfume, and have knock out bodies, all designed you would think to attract a mate.

The scary thing is I find it quite emasculating. I am drawn in by the look, but it quickly turns out to be less than I expected in terms of some kind of opposive sex male/female chemistry. These women remind me alot of men.

The women I meet seem to be in solid careers (accountant, lawyer etc.), they have their own wealth, they exercise at gyms, they are better financial planners, they have better apartments than I do, and essentially they want romance, but they themselves find it hard to surrender to a guy. They tend to be analytical and judgemental types. Because of their education and general ambition to succeed at work they have ended up with some masculine-ish type inner-traits, dominant, analytical, are opinionated, brash, competitive. They make extremely demanding partners because they hardly ever submit to a dominant male frame, at least not after the 1st few dates. I mean I;m up to 'sex in the city' chick number 3 now.

Not again.

I would rather the check out chick wearing jeans who lives in a caravan out the back of her parents place.

Have I got internal issues here?

Is there anyone with strong opinions on this?

Is this my insecurity or is this a problem with our society breeding these man-eaters?

Not sure if it's insecurity, but I have the same mindset. The problem isn't that I'm intimidated, it's that I'm simply not attracted to them. A lot of times you will notice that they maintain a feminine appearance, but have a very masculine personality. That can be a huge turn-off in some girls. I guess personality does count!

Feel the same way. If a girl doesn't care whether you're around or not, it's nigh impossible to like her. Of course, girls are drawn to indifferent men.

I'm with you on this. If she looks like a woman but thinks and acts like a man, she's a man. There are a lot of girls out there that have not yet been corrupted by feminism and sex and the city. They are usually insecure, but that's fine. She'll put more effort into you.

I agree with broken that they essentially don't like what they've become. Every disappointment causes them to dig into their jobs more and more. These women do have masculine attributes of drive and self-sustainability and focus, rather than connective nurturing energies. I think thats a turn off for me. Of course Roosh - its possible to go to bed with them, but I wouldn't expect very much in terms of passion.

Alas, how sad for them, because they want a masculine guy but the energies they both have will clash. I can't imagien anything but the girls I;ve dated crying themselves to sleep every nigth moaning "its so hard to find a decent man out there" to their friends.

I think this has to do with women being single for long periods of time. Or at least not having something lasting throughout a long period of time. The good ones find a match by this age for a reason. The rest don't find a match by this age for a reason. They develop a hardened shell towards a faction of society (reasonable men) that they feel has rejected them, and they begin to embrace a shitty attitude.

In "Cast Away", Tom Hanks' character was faced with ultimate isolation. His character chose to imagine a partner(Wilson) rather than accept he was alone. These women would rather imagine an illusion about why they're alone, rather than accept that they are alone for good cause.

Their piss poor and misguided attitude breeds their eventual masculine personality.

I've tried this approach with a similar demographic. If you shake the tree hard enough, something will eventually fall out.

Deep down, these chicks are craving someone to cram them back into their feminine role. If they're hot enough to be worth the effort, I'd try it out.

My experience is these women are too far gone, maybe from birth- NEXT.

I worked in a hellish, remote place and one was obviously into me.
I started sleeping with her.

It's a chicken and egg thing, she didn't become a hot-shot accountant or whatever because she was focused on bonding with people.

They are lost souls, and while a small part of me feels sorry for them, they are not worth the trouble and you are best advised to ignore them for anything but a quick, easy lay.

I have been surrounded by power chicks my whole career, and as I have aged and moved up the ladder, so to have they in some cases. They hit a brick wall in their late 20's though, and very few can actually compete head on with men as you start moving into executive positions. They blame glass ceilings and sexism of course, when in reality most are just shit at their jobs, cant deal with stress and dont produce the sorts of results they should be.

Its almost always plays out the same though. They fuck around in their 20's when they still have their looks, and they generally treat what options they have like shit. Many men would be quicker to marry in their young 20's than early 30's, purely because we become more cynical with age. Our options increase to, and as a 30 year old with money in his pocket, I have never had it this easy.

As they get closer to 30, biology starts to take over, and they get more desperate as they approach their mid 30's. This is when it really starts to take its toll on them. They realise that a corporate career is actually quite crap. Its not all about power lunches, deal making, world travel and boardroom drama. Its often 60 hours a week of spreadhseets, balance sheets and reports. So the job is no longer rewarding, her biology is telling her she needs a baby, but no man that she desires actually wants anything to do with her.

See this is where the bitches fall flat. They think that because a high paying job, high status career, high level education, high level of career achievement, money, independence, etc are the sorts of things they find attractive in men, they assume and expect that this is what we will find attractive in them too. We like tits and arse, and 36 year old tits and arse is not going to compete against 22 year old tits and arse. So they sprout off their CV's to all, hoping this turns their sagging asses into bikini bums.

The result is that they end up settling. And they settle with someone they have no respect for, but its all they can really get. And its not someone they are that attracted to either, because those guys are fucking the 20 year olds still. So they end up resenting the men they are often with, and they often second guess their decisions because they are trying to live their life by a manual. They have also had so much cock they are basically ruined.

They are also horrible to be around. Highly opinionated, argumentative, judgmental, neurotic, insecure, bitchy, demanding. You name it. The worst of them comes out. They also make for bad companions too, and any of the traditional wife skills are not going to happen either. Thats servitude in their eyes and most of these bitches look down on housewives.

They are victims of feminism too really, and while I feel sorry for them at times, they get what they deserve.

Dont be intimidated by these poor souls. Pity them. They are very lonely, sad people and they bring no good to your life.

I had the exact same reaction as you, except, that I showed completely my thoughts. Mostly non verbally.

Such as absolutely ignoring her in front of everyone while she is asking me a question, not even looking in her direction, not even having my head turned at her. Physically putting my hand in front of her face so she cannot talk to me.
Guess what happened at the end of the night.
The more independent they are, the more you have to be. Never try to do that through their logical brain, wich is basically all your whole first post examination.

Yeah, acting less masculine is not the right way to game these women. What these women require is over the top alphaness that even trumps their own. That's what turns them on. Unless a woman is looking for a provider or has logically concluded that she can only get along with a beta male (common with masculine women) no woman in the world prefers a man who is less alpha.

You can witness this if you ever get an online dating site and read some of their profiles. You'll read stuff like "I'm very opinionated, logical and career driven but I still want to be romanced with the fairy tale..." Shit like that that really reads "I want all of the benefits of being a man, and therefore get ready to be deprived of the benefits of having a truly feminine woman, but I want to be treated like a princess anyway in exchange for the pussy."

For them, its all the benefits of trying to wield masculine power but none of the sacrifice that would come with giving up their femininity. All take and no give.

I say, unless you are getting a one night stand with a hot one, skip these broads. And wrap it up, because these women will make nightmarish baby mommas.

I think that what you're feeling is just the normal sense of insecurity brought about by associating with someone who's doing (temporarily) better than you are … and who won't shut up about it. Most career chicks are, aside from everything else, tremendous boors who would be instantly ostracized from any social group were they men. They're just jerks, creeps, douchebags, etc., only with tits. Ignore the tits, and treat them appropriately.
