Elaborate wedding proposal
Couldn't find this with a search (embedding YouTube with the tabs is making my phone app crash so sorry you'll have to follow the link).

https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=zcQZzYecaJg

Interested to hear thoughts on this, the guy's voice is hurting my ears.

RE: Elaborate wedding proposal
If this is something where its filmed in secret or some big production then... ugh. What a tired trend. It used to be a private moment between two people. Now everything has to be attention whored to death, even a proposal. The level of desperation to be "different" is insane these days, to the point where they are all doing the same thing. See: tattoos.

RE: Elaborate wedding proposal

I didn't have a problem with his voice. But this is just tacky. It seems that marriage proposals are increasingly more about publicity than about the actual proposal.

Instead of making this proposal about whether the girl says yes, he's made it into a cheap gimmick to get youtube views. I don't see what he gains by making his proposal public. It's as if all of a sudden people stopped thinking about marriage proposals as a huge commitment and instead see it merely as a competition to beat the last viral proposal.

My cynical predictions:
She's already cheated on him at least once.
They have a kid within the next few years. (there's a chance it's his)
Divorce in 4 to 5 years

Ha, I just can't help imagining that if she said no. Would he leave or stay and watch the movie?

The guy always knows she's going to say yes. In a relationship if the girl isn't strongly hinting or outright pressuring you to get married, then she doesn't want to marry you.

But I have seen a few videos where the girl has said no. In these cases it's because the guy knows the girl isn't that into him. But he thinks that offering marriage will change that. And by trapping her in a situation she can't easily avoid she's obligated to say yes.

Woman: Butter face, WNB.
Man: Typical "western man accent" (I'm just going to start calling men that who claim that they are straight but seem gay, mainly in their voice and in the white-knighty shit that they do like this).

The couple in the next 5 years: She cheats on him with a more masculine co-worker who doesn't act like a faggot around her, he is either oblivious to it or finds out, posts about it on Reddit, and eventually tells her that he forgives her.

RE: Elaborate wedding proposal
Thick arms. Here's my prediction:

1. They get married in an equally attention whoring way.
2. Married life is boring compared to having him make movies professing his beta love.
3. She, of course, never contributes anything to the relationship that requires similar effort.
4. She starts getting bored and the sex dries up.
5. They have a kid to save the marriage.
6. It doesn't work and, tired of his complaining that she is a do-nothing, frigid, horrible wife, she files for divorce and takes the house, car, 1/2 of all saved assets, alimony, child support and dog.
7. She quickly loses any extra weight and miraculously rediscovers that she enjoys sex...with random men.
8. The child learns to be a selfish whore like mommy - the circle of life.

That video is a classic. You got so many good elements that come together by luck.
1) TV announcer saying "just once I'd like to see the woman say no"
2) The horn sounding a split second before she says no and starts to leave the court.
3) The crowd (faintly but audibly) booing her
4) Tracy McGrady chuckling as he's walking on the court.
5) The mascot consoling the guy as he leaves the court.

Even to this day, as a baseball fan, my wife laughs at scoreboard proposals. I used to threaten her with one, but then I'd laugh even hard at the couple on the screen.
