What do you guys do when you're in a situation where you just met a girl and you need to make her comfortable around you quick. As in thinking "this is a guy I can be around alone at night and feel safe". What psychological shortcuts can you take that will bring you through the comfort building phase as quick as possible?

Topics-wise I talk about my family, relationship with my sister in particular, telling outrageous stories about how we used to fight each other when we were young (with a funny spin, of course). If she has brothers and sisters she can relate and will likely tell you her own experiences.
Overall I think mentioning your childhood relationships with family-members is a solid comfort builder topic.
Just remember to keep it light and funny.

What works for me is finding out that we have similiar interests and things in common and building off of that..... As for psychological shortcuts to build comfort faster well I just read that book by neil strauss (the game???) he has a few pointers regarding building comfort asap.

You could try bringing conversations about you that are a little intimate but not secret related, something that its obvious to anyone that is not something you can just tell any random person, that way you'll hershow that there's something about her that makes you trust her, if you do it correctly she will reciprocate and cooperate.

there is no any ''magic syrup''...you just have to get the strong frame...the inner game..it all counts.

Vulnerability game (check out Roissy for the former), laughing, maybe that story about the time you did X (and were the protector of women and children).

It all depends on the girl. If she's a true alpha-girl, she doesn't need as much comfort. If she's a shy one, make her laugh out loud. I believe this is the original evolutionary purpose for which (correct me if I'm wrong) humans have and use humor:

It's to build comfort and improve the interaction. Laughter releases endorphins and reduces stress hormones, including dopamine, the "fight or flight" hormone.

I am not quite sure if this could negatively impact the rest of your game. We all know the guy whom the girls love because he makes them laugh, but he can't ever get laid.

In general, I'd focus more on mystery/adventurous aspect to get punani.

This is sort of when "game" theory clouds all judgment.

Among intelligent humans, humor is the result of the contrast between the real and the ideal. It provided comfort when times were tough and reinforced behavior that was focused on the future.
