This is how I see it as well.

In training you don't get angry at being punched in the face. For me it's more of a green light to go at a higher speed. That being I know that they want to spar a bit more seriously. So after taking that first hit in the face/head I know it's go time for full out sparring. I bet I look like a real idiot with a huge grin on my face after that happens.


Also as far as the neck shit goes, more than BJJ people do bridges and various neck strengthening exercises. I can remember the hours and hours I spent in a bridge and doing various exercises geared toward neck strength while wrestling. Shit, I sill do that and actually enjoy working my neck from a headstand as well.
