Hey fellas. Pretty new to the forum though I've been reading and following for some time now. I'd just like to get some opinions on what some of my fellow red pillers think about classic crooners and traditional pop music.

I'm 19 and got really into the music about four or five years ago (been an avid record collector for about ten years or so) and have amassed a respectable collection of traditional pop vinyl and CDs. My personal favorites are Nat King Cole, Sinatra, Bing Crosby, Dean Martin, Johnny Mathis, Tony Bennett, Mel Torme and Jack Jones. I would count all of the aforementioned vocalists as influences on my own personal style of singing.

I must confess the origin of my interest in this music rests back in my blue pill days. I liked how romantic the songs sounded and dreamed of romancing a girl with these songs (I was extremely beta at the time). Those days have since ended. But even before I immersed myself in the red pill I began to take a more serious interest in the songs and styles of these singers beyond mere "romantic fantasies." The simple sounding but deceptively intricate melodies, the often witty wordplay, the arrangements, the individuality in performance (there is no confusing one singer with another, each had his own unique style), all these aspects simply entranced me. Since taking the red pill my interests in music seem to be shifting more towards instrumental jazz than vocals, but I still cannot deny the appeal that these songs and their singers have, even though my more romantic side has largely atrophied.

I'd just like to know if there are any other forum members who share the same kind of interest in this music.

Once you get some game and a few notches under your belt, the old school romantic stuff will be appealing again.

Most of those guys you mention didn't start out life as stone cold players, but they learned about the true nature of women because of fame and all the women that come with fame.

They still got on stage and belted out the jams.
But there was an iron fist within that velvet glove.

Man may be the true romantic, but those records sold millions to women who liked both the red and that blue

Music is something you will appreciate more and more as you age. I'm happy you have found music that speaks to you. This is valuable so continue to embrace it, and explore other genres that appeal to you.

About romancing girls with the sounds of the old-school crooners, go for it. Remember, you're doing all this for yourself, not for them. I too enjoy romance and there is a place for it even in today's game if you apply it correctly.
