Maybe he recently moved?
Maybe he's at a particularly "academic" event?
Maybe he's older and having ever-more trouble relating to millennials?

It's a prime example of 'it's not what you say but how you say it'. A 'simple convo' can speak volumes if said properly. Like the others have said this is garden variety game denial.

@456, it was said in a travel datasheet.

With limited language skills scenario, it might be a fair statement.

But I haven't traveled and banged enough to know.

Sure it might take a few drinks and a convo, but I think an important question is:

Have you really CONNECTED with the female ? Did you entice her ?

It also really depends on the scenario like 456 mentioned.

Since this was mentioned in a travel data sheet, you won't be doing much talking compare to body/sign language if you're in a different country with it's own language and culture.

Take for example Atlantic in SA - low verbal communication, high hand/ey/body/sign communication and he pulled some insanely hot chicas.

Sometimes a girl is an easy 1, 2, 3 lay up, drinks convos bang. In other cases it might take something else or a "push" to seal the deal.

This is a classic case of pronoun trouble. It isn't "it seems you need a little bit more effort then just a convo and few drinks to pull them in the sack." It is "it seems I need a little bit more effort then just a convo and few drinks to pull them in the sack."

Changes the whole dynamic of the thinking process entirely.

It means your game isn't on that tight level where it will work.

If your game is tight, you're not calibrating to the situation to identify what the fastest/most enjoyable way in to the sack would be.

A made man won't claim that it requires a bit more effort, he will provide an alternative on how to get in to the sack.
