I have noticed that what you don't want to see in your girl is the sly smile. Girls smile slyly when they are milking a simp, or have gotten something over you in some way, or at least feel like they have.

The best expression you want to see on your girl is a look of slight anxiety with her mouth slightly open. This communicates that she is afraid of losing you and her mind is spinning, you have hand in the relationship.

Of course, it is not always bad if your girl thinks she has gotten something over you at one point, but in most situations is in a slightly worried stated, anxious to please you. For instance, if your doing well financially and take her out to a nice dinner, she might think she's gained something extremely meaningful, but if the money is extremely miniscule to you, then it's not a big deal to let her think she's won a victory.

If, on the other hand, you begin to talk about marriage, and she's a a huge slut who's 25, that sly smile will never be wiped off her face, because she has pulled something over you..You are not getting the best girl you can get.

The anxious/slightly worried look means you're doing well on your part, but if you want to hold onto a girl for something long term, you need to balance that out with a girl's look of joy/appreciation.

My ex-girlfriend (who I broke up with when I finished school, but who was an amazing girl while we were together) has been visiting me for the weekend and I've noticed she alternates between looking nervous (and maybe a little sad) with a look of complete joy and satisfaction, like she's soaking up every second of my presence and listening to everything I say in hopes of holding onto the memories of us when she goes back home.

The key to triggering a healthy mindset in your girl (what most beta's/girls would consider unhealthy) is alternating between being a nice generous guy and being a careless prick who seems more interested in window shopping than listening to your girl complain about her life struggles.

An example of a nice thing I've done this weekend: Took her to the Highline in Manhattan (elevated park which she's never been to) followed by taking her to a nice Sushi restaurant (her favorite food)

An example of me being a dick: Was supposed to meet her at noon today to hangout (she's staying at her uncle's), but I instead went shopping for Driving shoes with my dad and ended up pushing our meet-up time to 5. I wasn't intentionally trying to be a dick, I genuinely really wanted some new loafers and thought I'd get bored chilling with her all day.

Bottom Line: Be a good person half the time, and a dick the other half, and you likely won't have to worry about the 'sly smile.'

I'm generally giving my girls a sly smile most of the time because I'm always harrassing them. Seems to work, maybe all too well sometimes. So I'd say if you want less sly smiles on your chick's face, try to keep one firmly fitted on yours, or at least half of the time like Spider mentioned.
