Christie: Marijuana is a gateway drug. We have an enormous addiction problem in this country. And we need to send very clear leadership from the White House on down through the federal law enforcement. Marijuana is an illegal drug under federal law. And the states should not be permitted to sell it and profit from it.

The governor has long opposed both medicinal and recreational marijuana and only allowed tightly restricted use of medical marijuana in New Jersey after a very public lobbying campaign that pitted him against the father of a little girl.

I'd love one of these characters to express their ideas in terms of liters of blood. E.g. "Current drug enforcement is only spilling an estimated 4600 gallons of blood a year. That's unacceptable, and I want to see number raised to at least 7000 gallons".

Chris Christie is a fucking doofus. He's Donald Trump without the money, charisma or balls. He reminds me of a fat kid in elementary school who used to bully people through sheer girth before puberty hit and he became a laughingstock. We don't even like him here in NJ. He got a massive bump after the way he handled Hurricane Sandy. Since then it's been nothing but corruption and political bullying. NJ is the #1 producer of pharmaceuticals in the country. They are obviously in his pocket. Hence, he hates weed.

Clearly he has been oblivious to the medical community. After watching the Sanjay Gupta cnn specials on marijuana I believe that this natural plant does have medicinal benefits. How many children have seizures and have to take many pills to alleviate the seizures. Turns out that big pharma probably is donating to Christie so that marijuana doesn't replace their cash cow.

Totally agree with him on weed being a 'gateway' drug. A brother of mine went down this route. First weed, then quasi-legal bath salt drugs, then LSD and who knows what else. Weed was determined to be the 'safe' drug (his words), and now he cannot stop using. Ditto with porn.

But seriously Christie, lose some weight BEFORE you go on a moral crusade. You end up looking a bigger hypocrite than Palin's kid.
