If you’re into white girls (I wish I was, since I live in the GC, but I’m into women of color) then that is one of the best spots in North America to find them. You can just walk up and down Rush St.

I've been to Chicago 2 times (2013 & 2017). in 2013, I stayed near Wrigley Field. Some bars near there, the talent was okay.

In 2017 I stayed in Lincoln Park (seemed upscale) near DePaul University. The talent was good, but nowhere near the level of NYC & Miami.

The weather from October to January is awful and depressing in Chicago. I don't know how locals live there during that time

While not quite on NYC & Miami's level I gotta say that in Chicago to catch the highest end chicks you really need to foray into the River North area (basically stone's throw from the southern Gold Coast, Streeterville & the Loop). River North is home to the glitziest lounges & nightclubs in Chicago IMO. I think Lincoln Park might be too homogeneous, young & college-y / fratty & Wrigleyville is too young & suburbanite bridge & tunnel Cubbie fan townie vibe in a way. At least back in the day when I was in Chicago. Nothing wrong with those things necessarily but if you're looking for hot ass women of a certain age all decked out, those might not be the right areas.

For the funkier Brooklyn vibe I always recall the Northwest side as being the areas to hit (Bucktown / Wicker Park / Logan Square). Might be too hipster for some of you guys. Bucktown is basically Lincoln Park West these days as well so it can be more yuppie vibe than hipster vibe depending on the venue.

Rush St and Oak St are both in the Gold Coast.

For white women daygame, I would maybe give the edge to the loop, at least when college is in session.

For nightgame, I would give the edge to River North and Old Town.

Some people love Lincoln Park, too, and while that’s the last neighborhood I lived in, I found out it terrible for both daygame and nightgame. I guess the nightgame was pretty good on Thursdays (since DePaul has a universal policy of no school on Fridays), but it was pretty weak otherwise. Lots of Man Francisco-looking women out there. Downtown is far better (GC, Streeterville, River North, and the Loop).

I know we have a LONG ways to go till summer 2019 but just gotta mention for those that don't know....Chicago's festival scene & concert scene is one of the best daygame options in the summertime arguably in the whole USA. Another top contender being hanging out at the beaches / anywhere up & down the Lake Michigan lakeshore running north from Streeterville all the way up to at least Lincoln Park.

I'm hoping to make a homecoming trip (or several if possible) next warm weather season to the Windy City. Will let you fellas know if & when I'm headed that way. Let us get that Canuck broski scotian back up there too. He paid homage to Detroit last summer lol. Had a good time partying it up in Michigan.

Don't sleep on Pilsen, lots of chicks coming to the "edgy" side of town to get their fun in. Will have to explore Gold Coast more. WickerPark is hipster fucking central, some cuties walking around but with this winter atmosphere most have their "talk to me and it's harassment face" on.

Chicago is quite a bit cheaper than LA and SD. The disparity really comes into play when it comes to transportation (i.e., walking/taking public transit vs. car/insurance/gas/maintenance).

That being said, $1,000/month for a 1BR in Streeterville is insane. Normally, studios start at $1,400 in Streeterville and 1BRs start at a little under $2,000.

At the same time, according to that posting, the guy is subletting his apartment. With how horrifically cold it is in Chicago right now and the demand to live there in the winter being low, it is possible that the guy significantly lowered the price.

FWIW, Streeterville is the best neighborhood to live in Chicago, alongside the Gold Coast. The GC is slightly cheaper since it's slightly further from the Loop.

I live in Chicago. I'm here right now. A grand for a 800-sq-ft unit in Streeterville is pretty rare. I'd jump on it, if you're thinking of coming.
I pay $2000 for a 1700-sq-ft place with two balconies, sun room, and parking included, but I'm about four miles north of downtown.
