RE: Anyone using opinion openers?
I love going direct, but there are just some times that it doesn't make sense.

Opinion openers and opening indirect are definitely more versatile. Some girls will just not respond to "Hey I thought you were cute and I had to meet you" or something to that effect, no matter how high you percieve you value or status to be. She just can't pick that up if she's in a rush or distracted. In that case, she is much more open to answering a simple question than stop and chat to a guy even if she thinks he is "cute". That being said, I rarely use canned opinion openers. Usually it's something I come up with on the spot or something that I really want to get people's opinions about. In a bar or a coffee shop or a place where she is generally more settled and having fun, I'd definitely be more willing to go direct.

Show me the guy who goes direct and opens well 100% of the time and I'll show you Justin Beiber at an elementary school.

What about opinion openers about your clothes? "I never really dress up. Does this shirt go good with these shoes?". I said some shit like that a while back at a clothing store and it worked pretty well.

Just to clarify, asking directions, what time is it or asking her to take the picture is a functional opener, not opinion opener. The main problem with those is difficulty to switch the conversation to a different topic without it being sound awkward.

That's two compliments.

If you're going to compliment a woman, it should be about something that's not obvious (i.e. not a dress), and you shouldn't throw a lot of extras on it.

I heard a guy at a club tell a girl she was lovelier than the Mona Lisa.

(Insert Whammy Sound)

Playful compliments work for me. I talk to girls like they are sex objects. I have higher value then her and I am considering banging her. Thats my frame.

I don't say it like an overeager beta who is trying to impress the girl and get her to like me. I'm not worried about her response. I am a strong sexual man who sees something he likes. You gotta say it as if your value is higher then hers. You are not trying to kiss her ass! You are just an alpha making an obervation.

There is no where to hide. Its just you and her. She will feel your true intentions and Masculinity.

This is more risky but more powerful. Going direct (and playful) like this has helped me grow my inner Game much faster. This challenges you much more, and that greater challenge helps you get stronger, faster.

Powerful? How is this any different from random chump supplication? I don't see this getting Joe Schmoe anywhere,

The power is in the body language and eye contact. After you say it, just look at her like she is a sex toy. Maybe even look her up and down. You are not trying to win her respect! Hold the eye contact and the swagger, let her see that you are not just another random chump throwing her compliments. Don't smile and giggle like a little girl.

You are an alpha and she is a sex object. Thats the way you wanna say it.

Sometimes they aren't sure if they should get mad or get turned on. Sometimes I think its a little of both!

I've never used a blunt opinion opener. Such as "excuse me, I need an opinion on something...."

Maybe I should try it. I guess I just feel more comfortable saying "how are you".

You bumped a two year old thread to tell us you open with "how are you"?

Between this and your Las Vegas report I'm starting to think you're practising some alternate universe type of game.

RE: Anyone using opinion openers?
i always find the funniest opinion openers are the ones where you don't give a shit about anyone's opinion and the delivery is loud, confident and excessively narcissistic. it's funnier to fuck around than to be a square.

"what's your opinion on time machines.... hold on, don't answer, i want to hear what my wings thinks first, then we'll go back to you for special comments...."

wing starts talking about porn in GTA5, complete non sequitur.

this might be hard to picture without seeing how it plays out in real life.

A better way to word this is "statement opener". Not giving a shit about anything and just saying what is on your mind and letting the girl react to what you say. This also perfectly follows the line of frame control that guys here always talk about. Giving an "opinion opener" makes you sound like a bitch.

Do not preface what you are saying with something weak like "I know this is random but.." or "I know this is kind of weird to say but.." etc. Lay down the hammer. Say whatever the fuck you want and judge her on the response.

The fuck do guys think "edge" means? A hair grooming product? -MikeCF

RE: Anyone using opinion openers?
Opinion openers were devised as a blunt tool to help guys break out of their shell and start approaching girls.

At least that's the way I look at it. It worked that way with me.

It gives a really easy excuse and rationale for doing cold approaches when the whole concept is new and intimidating. It's a bit of subterfuge and smoke and mirrors guys can hide behind.

I haven't used classic opinion openers is many years. Doesn't mean I never start with questions, I do, but it comes from a different place and it's not scripted.

It'd be hilarious if there were 21 year old dudes asking girls if they think David Bowie is hot in 2013...

I find them very useful as situational ones e.g I'm standing next to a chick in a shop and ask her opinion on some things in front of us. Ask casually as if you're asking a friend or girlfriend (assume familiarity), so no BS preface weak sauce.
