I agree.

I've become more anti-gay in recent months. It's not really anti-homosexual, but anti-agenda pushing. I don't like gay people who make being gay their main identity. Yeah, I guess if it was accepted more (as in homosexuality being completely mainstream for the tiny minority that they are) then that kind of 'rebellious' streak they have would die down, and in that sense we're in a catch-22 situation, but it doesn't mean I can't express disgust at guys with their arses showing in cut-up leather chaps. I fucking detest this hyper-identity politics shit that goes on in Western countries, a lot more than individual gay people. One of my old schoolteachers was gay, but none of us knew because he was completely normal in his behaviour and so on. In fact, he was probably my favourite teacher in High School.

As much as I hate the Gay Pride faggotry, I can't really support them being beaten up and so on. It's just not really fitting with how I am in real life.

But promoting it as something superior or letting men marry among each other goes to far. I would let them have civil unions if they wanted to, but gay parades would not get any permission. There are no heterosexual parades of sexuality, so why should there be gay ones?

But of course assaulting them is wrong. There must be a balance between throwing a genius like Oscar Wilde to prison and total promotion of homosexuality on the other side.

Same. I think it's absolutely ridiculous that people will base a big part of their identity on their sexuality. Basing it on say ethnicity makes more sense since the components that create an ethnic identity include a shared language, culture and tradition and such. I fail to see what sort of culture can be created out of the concept of who you put your dong into.

And I do think the heavy push of LGBT stuff will if anything create more hostility from people who would otherwise be indifferent. I know that I've actually said some things in the heat of the moment that I was surprised about afterwards. About a year ago I actually wrote something crazy on this forum suggesting how homosexuals be kept in a red light district which I then forgot about until due to a stupid error on my part, it was unearthed by some acquaintances which led to some negative consequences. I was surprised that I expressed such an opinion and I would have gotten rid of if it wasn't for the no deletion policy on this forum. It's a good example of how when you push an agenda too far it'll lead to some backlash. I place the blame fully on myself for expressing the opinion I did and it does not represent my true stance, I'm just bringing up the story as an example of how all of this aggressive pushing will lead to pushing back even along people myself who typically have a "live and let live" policy.
