There have been several problems with cam sites having models well below 18. You've got a girl from Columbia who provides some kind of fake ID to a company in Europe - exactly how far can they go to check her age?

Anyone in the U.S. who has this magazine in their basement or attic technically possesses child pornography. A quick search of eBay shows that this issue is easily (and fairly cheaply) available from multiple sellers, many of whom are probably oblivious to its illegal contents.

According to the news, Jared is going to plead guilty to child porn charges and it's going to be officially announced today (Aug. 19) at a press conference. However, it might just be a plea to a conspiracy charge -- which might mean what? He let his computer be used by that friend/co-worker who got busted for kiddie porn images?

Here is what USA Today is reporting:

"Former Subway spokesman Jared Fogle reportedly has struck a plea bargain over federal charges, Indiana media reported Tuesday.

WREG-TV, citing unidentified sources, said the 37-year-old Fogle is expected to plead guilty to charges related to an investigation into possession of child pornography. He is expected to appear in federal court Wednesday morning in Indianapolis, and the U.S. attorney plans to hold a news conference afterward.

WTHR-TV also reported the plea deal, based on unnamed sources, and said Fogle might be charged only with conspiracy."

He may have helped a friend obtain, hide, or procure it and they had hard proof he assisted. So hard he was willing to cop a plea deal. We may find out the details of how later. His actual computers may not have held any but if the electronic proof of him helping others were there he was still screwed.

Either that or he was blatantly guilty and he and his lawyer found a way out via a plea on a somewhat lesser charge at the expense of his cohorts.

Would love to hear from one of the lawyers on the forum.

According to the articles I read, he was soliciting prostitutes to help him make connections with underage girls. He's also charged with purchasing child porn produced by the director of his charity. If the charges are true, it's not a case of accidental downloading.

At least she is doing it now before he has to spend time in jail/prison. They can work out the details before he goes away alot easier that way. I think he will do some amount of time, not sure how much, but I doubt he will just get only probation.

Besides that, we have no evidence that she knew of his vices/cheating/fetishes, etc. She might have known he had a porn habit, but not exactly what kind of porn. They are not special in that regard because lots of married couples have this problem these days.

Also, adultery and abandonment are the only grounds for a divorce in biblical terms. She is justified in at least 1 and maybe the other as well. If she even caught him cheating once and still did not leave him, until these, she was a better wife to him than you think.

I concur Jared fucked up by getting involved with that other guy who had something like 400 videos or some such, but Jared is no pedo. He's just galactically stupid for bragging that he banged a hot 16 year old to a fucking LIZARD. If anything, he deserves a month's trip to the big house just on that alone.

This forum should be taught to every junior high school student in America so as to avoid such entrapment, which this case clearly is. That, and the fact that the FBI along with the ATF, Homeland Security, etc., harm far more than they help. Heck, the ATF has done nothing but kill American citizens ever since they were formed.

The USA would be far better off without these two fascist and corrupt organizations. If ever the age of consent is raised to 20, you'll find the FBI leading the charge. It's all about control.

I have to side with TravelerKai here. I've known guys who have carried on public affairs with women they worked with and they had a wife that was totally oblivious.

Conversely, I've known men who have had girlfriends who have cheated on them multiple times and they were totally ignorant about it. Cheaters of any gender are pretty good at leading secret lives. So I'd say there was a good chance Jared's wife didn't know about this -- especially considering what he was doing was seriously illegal.

It's one thing to accidentally find out the girl you met at the club is 16 and not 18. It's another to consciously exploit minors -- something he copped to.

Look at it this way: If she did know and just wanted a payday, she could have simply brought evidence to her lawyers, quietly sued him for adultery, and made bank. With the way things panned out now, she's publicly shamed and her kids have to deal with this too.

She's in the same situation as those hapless husbands who find their wives are messing with boy students. At least give her credit for getting out -- unlike those pathetic Betas who "stand by" wives who are sexing up multiple underage boys.

Addendum: Anyone remember that "Seinfeld" episode where Jerry can't handle dating a women because "she went out with Newman?!" I wonder if Jared's wife is going to have to deal with the same thing: "She dated Jared?!"

While I understand your argument, a line must be drawn somewhere. And you may want to argue that the limit is arbitrary and doesn't correlate to anything.... That's nice. You have to draw a line somewhere. Jared was stupid.

In Federal Prison, people usually serve the vast majority of their sentence, as opposed to state prison or county jail, where they very often serve half of their sentence or not even that. He likely has the best legal representation he could possibly get and for him to take this deal, and take it as soon as he did, the government must have had a really, really strong case and he must have been looking at decades, if not life, in federal prison.

The Department of Justice released a statement after Fogle appeared in court Wednesday. It says Fogle offered to pay adult prostitutes a finder's fee if they could connect him with minors for sex acts, including some as young as 14 or 15 years old.

Prosecutors also say Fogle obtained child porn, including videos showing the abuse of victims as young as 6.

My friend is is Fed prison for having school girl porn (developed fetish in Taiwan he claims)sentenced 18 years and never touched anyone. The Fed turned his computer into a server and double charged him with distribution.

The other problem is Attorneys don't want these cases. If I remember the FEDS have high minimum mandatory sentencing so Jared was looking at 20 years or more if he got a deal at 5 he's lucky.

I'm not even admitted to any federal court anywhere. It's not because the fee for doing so is too expensive or I don't have time to fill out the forms.

Agreed. We can't always fault women no matter what. Jared is a sick man and I even applaud her for divorcing him.
