I was using the free wifi at my local Tim Horton's (King Street West in Toronto), attempted to view the latest ROK posting when I received the following message:

I don't know enough about the inner workings of servers and such, but would this mean that ROK is on some kind of ban list that affects public servers? Would this be the result of actual filed complaints?

To the OP, a lot of ROK and Rossh stuff are blocked on public wi-fi mostly due to NSFW pictures (Porn) on the forums and probably on the articles themselves (there's probably a few like that) This has been discussed before years ago.

Also, If you're going to be busting out your laptop at a coffee shop, you should be really doing some work making money(writing articles copy, etc etc), not goofing off on ROK, or any other website really. Time is money, stop wasting it.

Starbucks may not be the gold standard, but I will use it for the sake of comparison.

OP, do yourself a favor.

Order a cup of BLACK coffee from Tim Hortons.
Do the same at Starbucks.

Note the difference? When you don't add excessive amounts of cream and sugar, there is no way to dilute the taste. This way you can find out if the coffee actually has some quality to it.

Tim Hortons is frankly intolerable, drinking it black. Starbucks is okay. My homemade pot wins above both of them.

Haven't drank a Tim Hortons coffee in years. They also throw in more caffeine in there than usual, which isn't a plus. That's why you see people drinking 4-5 Timmies cups a day.

I saw the same message on United in-flight wifi once, but ROK came back on the return trip. If it shows up again (assuming you ever set foot into a Tim Horton's after that rant - lol!) try using a proxy server.

In some cases you can claim that the website is "lifestyle category" (works for example with Fortinet as a F/W).
