Dublin or Edinburgh?

Dublin or Edinburgh?
I have one day to myself, and I would like to know which city would be a best fit for a one day trip before returning to the states. My choices are Dublin and Edinburg, but I am having a hard time deciding which to choose. Any advice? (31Jul is the one day)

Edinburgh.

Why? University town in tourist season - thus, providing excellent targets. Go for tourists, first - given your short stay.
