The people in power know that rationality isn't powerful. You have to fight emotion with emotion. In my personal experience (outside of Twitter), most people who disagree with Trump are simultaneously civil and irrational. They have overblown fears of who Trump is and what Trump might do, and those fears won't be allayed with facts and logic, but with emotionally driven arguments.

The brutal trolling I support is meant for those who are uncivil and irrational, because such people are always going to go after your lifestyle and your income by painting you as a racist, a homophobe, an Islamophobe, and an irredeemable.

I tell my clients' parents about some of the trolliest things that have happened on Twitter, and they always laugh it off with genuine surprise and good-heartedness, because being civil gives them a sense of strength and humor. Just now I told one of my girl clients' mom that I can make people's heads explode on Twitter by saying, "Most men are too weak to create one great family. Trump created three."

At first she was confused over whether Trump didn't divorce Ivanna and Marla, but I told her that he did. And then I added, "So rather than portraying Trump as a jerk who divorces women when they get old, I help them accept that Trump just wanted to create more then only one great family."

The mom immediately started laughing, and her daughter started laughing and shaking her head. Which I pointed out to the mom.

So their civility gives them a sense of humor, which allows them to hear my stories and laugh. While the uncivil and irrational will hear the exact same political opinion and get really angry and demoralized.

(The mom even told me that she wants all illegal immigrants who have been here for at least ten years to have citizenship because they haven't committed any crimes. I countered that I don't want them to be deported, but I also don't want them to ever get the right to vote. Her jaw dropped. But she asked me why, and we had a civil conversation about it.)

It was mentioned earlier in this thread that a bus strike in Philly was preventing busses from being available on Election Day. Someone tweeted an hour ago that negotiations broke down today, so the bus strike is still happening.

There's no early voting in Pennsylvania, so a bus strike on election day would severely suppress the Black liberal vote, probably enough to flip Pennsylvania for Trump.

Now why did Bill Clinton make it such a high priority for him to go to North Korea personally to get these women back? Or rather, what did the North Koreans have on Bill that made him jump to their command?

This actually makes sense now that I know who those women are.

I was searching the people in the email chain to see if one of them was Asian or had an Asian wife. During that time, I read that the aide the pic was sent to (Justin Cooper) traveled with Bill Clinton to North Korea to have those women released. I believe he was ghostwriting his book at the time.

I think that pic may have just been to show him that the women were now free.

The thing to keep in mind is, even if there is code being used in some of the emails, that doesn't necessarily mean every random person in the email chains is also in on it.

At the same time, the frequency that they specifically mention pizza and the way they talk about it is part of the strangeness. Remember, Podesta was the one who tweeted out how much better his lobster risotto was than the food in the Ecuadorian embassy.

Do you really think these elitist millionaires are just obsessed with pizza and pizza parties? Even your average big city liberals are snobbish "foodies", let alone these corrupt DC insiders.

That's not to say rich people never eat pizza, but these emails have whole conversation threads that revolve around pizza. They make plans days in advance just to meet for an hour to eat pizza. It's bizarre.

Also, regarding the "pizza-related map" on the handkerchief, it's clear from the rest of the email that they had rented an unoccupied apartment from the "realtor". She also mentions pillows that they bought and forgot.

So you have pizza being brought up cryptically in regards to renting an empty apartment. And pillows can actually be slang for prostitutes, and realtors can often be a front for "fixers".

Maybe they only do 2 rallies on Monday to save energy for Monday night but I think you need to keep the 3-rallies-a-day going right until the very end...

I don't buy it. I read the emails in question. It's all confirmation bias stuff, nothing substantial. No consistent patterns, no evidence at all that there's any intent to use code, and plenty of clues that the words simply mean are what they are.

It does appear to be true that a woman connected with the Clinton foundation was busted by the government in Haiti for trying to take children into the US. That could have been a legitimate attempt to get children adopted into American homes that ignorantly ran afoul of Haitian law. Doesn't necessarily mean there was large scale child trafficking.

While I won't be surprised to find some kind of underage connection, none of this pizza/hotdog stuff looks relevant to me.

Unless you are a chef you don't have so many emails about food, Podesta does not look like a guy that spend his time eating with friends and being so calculate about food.

He has more emails about food than Gordon Ramsay, Podesta spends his time in high ranking politics, not in the kitchen.

Trump has Utah. There have been three recent polls with him up by around 10 there.

That. Three different Utah polls today had Trump +6, +12 and +11, including Heat Street/Rasmussen who does not like Trump at all & their last poll was Trump +3. Congressmen were coming out at an event yesterday saying they voted for Trump, they gotta vote for Trump, and it's time for (Mormon?) Republican voters to "come home". If Dem voters in Utah were smart they'd vote for McMullin but here's hoping they remain ignorant.


Speaking of polls, we had a new Reuters/Ipsos poll today; while other polling companies are showing the race "tightening" despite their horrible methodologies, Reuters/Ipsos keeps things skewed: Clinton +8 head-to-head, +6 in four-way polling.

Highlights of the poll:
-Poll was supposedly run Oct 29 - Nov 2 (so capturing the latest Hillary scandals)
-Trump only getting 78% of Republican voters
-Trump getting likely-voting Independents 34-23, with 14% to Weed Man and 10% "Don't Know/Refused" (a good number of that combined 24% is going to end up with Trump, or at least more of it than with Hillary)
-Poll skew is D+8, typical
-While the skew is officially +8, the people originally sampled totally D+12 which I guess they weighted to a D+8 end result. In any case, I don't like it.

Republicuck voters are going to hold their nose and vote for Trump, I can feel it, I believe it. He's not going to end up with 78%, fuck that.

I am equally excited and terrified for tomorrow - excited to see the last round of polling before the weekend (and meticulously dissect it as I tend to do), but terrified because there always seems to be shocking events that happen on Fridays. We get through tomorrow and we're golden.
