Trump is behind in polls because Trump is actually less popular. A significant majority of the American people love the idea of a bigger government, rationalizing that it'll "level the playing field."

Or more simply, because most of them are herd animals who follow social trends. Whereas previously hating on Hillary and calling her "Shillary" was a way for people to virtue signal that they were hip, progressive, open minded Berniebros, it now means that you're a racist.

People here are also too concerned about the popular vote.

But popular vote doesn't decide Presidents, and never have.

The land is what decides the President. Electoral votes are distributed according to territory more than population. Smaller states are disproportionately powerful and have far more sway over the election, which is why Republicans generally have the advantage. Rural voters are overwhelmingly Republican.

Trump is leading in Pennsylvania, and it's likely he takes Michigan, plus the normal bevvy of Republican states and he wins. He could still lose the popular vote by 5%, and it's not going to matter.

Also, this is no ordinary election.

I think we will see the highest voter turnout in decades. Even Canadians are battling it out in bars and dinner tables all across the continent.

People are seeing- many for the first time- just how easy it is to be collectively lied to. The media writes one thing, and within minutes the internet proves its false. The truth is systematically buried.

Under a normal election, sure, it would seem Trump has very little chance to win. But come election day, this will be proven wrong.

RE: The Donald Trump thread
Check this site out, which uses polls to figure out actual electoral votes:

http://axiomstrategies.com/abc/

Quote:Axiom Strategies, in collaboration with Remington Research Group, has studied election results in seven battleground states to identify Axiom’s Battleground Counties. These counties historically reflect statewide results, so monitoring them will be key in analyzing the 2016 presidential race. Check back regularly to see the latest polling in these counties, which may determine the next President of the United States.

[Image: battleground-polls-axiom.jpg?w=1280&h=458]

Interestingly enough, Trump might lose Virginia. However, he's crushing Ohio, Pennsylvania, and Nevada. If these swing states go for Trump, the race is over fellas. So the polls actually show Trump winning the electoral vote. I wish Axiom polling would do some research on Michigan, I believe the results would shock them.

Of course the liberal media is going to find rigged polls by polling places in Democratic cities in order to make it seem like Trump is unpopular. The polls are not accurate, but even if they were it doesn't matter because electoral votes are the only thing that matters.

The USA was not designed to be a democracy. And as long as the electoral voting system remains, it never will be (thank god).

It's even in Dutch news, but here is the original link: https://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/...ge%2Fstory

Dozens of Republican convention delegates are hatching a new plan to block Donald Trump at this summer’s party meetings, in what has become the most organized effort so far to stop the businessman from becoming the GOP nominee.

The delegates are angered by Trump’s recent comments on gun control, his racial attacks on a federal judge and his sinking poll numbers. They are convinced that Trump is an insufficiently conservative candidate and believe they will find enough like-minded Republicans within the next month to change party rules and allow delegates to vote for whomever they want, regardless of who won their state caucus or primary.

The new campaign is being run by the only people who can actually make changes to party rules, rather than by pundits and media figures who have been pining for a Trump alternative. Many involved in the delegate-driven movement supported Sen. Ted Cruz of Texas in the primary but say they have no specific candidate in mind and are not taking cues from any of Trump’s vanquished opponents.

“This literally is an ‘Anybody but Trump’ movement,” said Kendal Unruh, a Republican delegate from Colorado who is leading the campaign. “Nobody has any idea who is going to step in and be the nominee, but we’re not worried about that. We’re just doing that job to make sure that he’s not the face of our party.”

The fresh wave of anti-Trump organizing comes as a growing number of Republicans have signaled that they will not support Trump for president. In addition, House Speaker Paul D. Ryan (R-Wis.), who is slated to chair the Republican National Convention next month in Cleveland, said in remarks released Friday that House Republicans should “follow their conscience” on whether to support Trump.

“The last thing I would do is tell anybody to do something that’s contrary to their conscience,” Ryan said in an interview with NBC’s “Meet the Press” airing on Sunday.

Ryan has endorsed Trump. But his use of the word “conscience” could prove helpful to delegates organizing the anti-Trump campaign because they are pushing to pass a “conscience clause” that would unbind delegates and allow them to vote for whomever they want.

In a statement Friday, Trump dismissed the plots against him.

“I won almost 14 million votes, which is by far more votes than any candidate in the history of the Republican primaries,” Trump said. “I have tremendous support and get the biggest crowds by far and any such move would not only be totally illegal but also a rebuke of the millions of people who feel so strongly about what I am saying.”

He added, “People that I defeated soundly in the primaries will do anything to get a second shot — but there is no mechanism for it to happen.”

Delegates involved in the effort disagree, but their plans would require a high level of coordination among the thousands headed to Cleveland next month. Previous attempts to field a Trump opponent or to use convention rules to stop him have quickly fizzled, but the new push revives the possibility of a contested convention.

The campaign kicked off in earnest Thursday night on a conference call with at least 30 delegates from 15 states, according to multiple participants.

After weeks of fielding phone calls, emails and direct messages sent via Facebook and Twitter, Unruh is now partnered with Regina Thomson, another Colorado Republican delegate. They have recruited regional coordinators in Arizona, Iowa, Louisiana, Washington and other states.

Other top Republicans, including Maryland Gov. Larry Hogan and Rep. Fred Upton (R-Mich.), said this week that they will not back Trump. Ohio Gov. John Kasich said that he’s not yet ready to support Trump. And Richard Armitage, a deputy secretary of state in George W. Bush’s administration who is close with other members of the party’s national security establishment, announced plans to vote for Democrat Hillary Clinton if Trump is nominated by Republicans.

Eric Minor, a GOP delegate from Washington state, said he felt compelled to join Unruh’s group because “I hear a lot of people saying, ‘Why doesn’t somebody do something about this?’ Well you know what, I’m one of the people who can. There’s only 2,400 of us. I’m going to reach out to us and see if there seems to be momentum for this. And if there is, we’ll see where it goes.”

Steve Lonegan, a veteran GOP operative from New Jersey, is not a delegate but is advising the group and helping them build financial support through a super PAC, Courageous Conservatives, that backed Cruz in the primary. The group has said it is willing to spend money on advertising and to help delegates across the country find each other.

Ever since Trump reached the threshold for clinching the GOP nomination last month, “I’ve woken up every day struggling to accept that he’s going to be our candidate,” Lonegan said. “He’s spent more time talking about getting Bernie Sanders voters to vote for him than conservatives. What do you think he has that Bernie Sanders’s supporters would like? A secret socialist agenda?”

Unruh, Minor, Lonegan and a number of others involved in the effort are former Cruz supporters, but insist they are not working on his behalf. Cruz has said that he would not accept the presidential nomination as a result of an attempt to strip Trump of the prize.

“This isn’t going to go away,” warned Cecil Stinemetz, a delegate from Iowa participating in the new campaign. “Trump or others might say that these are just little groups who won’t do anything and it’ll fizz out — that’s not going to happen. Trump just continues to embarrass himself and his party and this is not going to let up.”

Several factors will complicate any attempt to stop Trump.

First, Unruh’s plan to unbind the delegates will need support from a majority of the convention rules committee, which is scheduled to meet on July 14 and 15 — just a few days before the convention formally convenes. If the proposal passes the committee, it would need to be ratified by a majority of convention delegates the following week.

Secondly, several delegates are deeply concerned about what they claim are intimidation tactics by Trump, his campaign and some state party leaders.

One delegate, who requested anonymity out of fear of retribution, wrote in an email that during his state party’s first convention organizing meeting, party leaders told the delegation that if they don’t vote for Trump, “we would be removed from the floor and replaced with an alternate.”

Recruiting like-minded delegates may be difficult, because the Republican National Committee has yet to release a list of the thousands of people elected to travel to Cleveland as delegates or alternates. A final list of names from each state and territory was due to the RNC on Monday, and party officials are reviewing the names to ensure that no elected delegate or alternate has a criminal record, according to party officials.

Privately, some RNC officials say they doubt they will ever release a full list of the names, despite previous assurances that a list would be released in advance of the convention.

Another potential complication is that Republican National Committee Chairman Reince Priebus and other top leaders have said delegates are required to reflect the results of state contests.

In response, a group of veteran Republican operatives is planning to raise up to $2.5 million to run an advertising campaign asserting that delegates can do whatever they want. The Citizens in Charge Foundation plans to bankroll the outreach campaign. It already paid for the publication of a book by Curly Haugland, a GOP delegate from North Dakota who wrote a book explaining why delegates are unbound.

“It’s not an effort for a candidate or against a candidate, but it’s an effort to educate people on what their real authority is and have them get the comfort that they’re not alone,” said Eric O’Keefe, a party operative based in Detroit who is a member of the group. “There’s a whole network of like-minded people.”

“This is not a play for Cruz or Kasich or Ryan,” O’Keefe said. “I trust the delegates that if they understand their authority, they’ll nominate a good ticket.”

Quote:Paul Ryan On Stopping A President Trump's Muslim Ban: We'll Sue Him!

House Speaker Paul Ryan (R-WI) has made clear he doesn't agree with a proposal put forward by Donald Trump -- whom Ryan has endorsed -- to ban Muslim immigration into the United States, but in an interview with the Huffington Post Thursday, Ryan floated taking a President Trump to court if he tried to implement such a ban or some of his other controversial proposals unilaterally.

“I would sue any president that exceeds his or her powers,” Ryan said in a back-and-forth about Trump's claims that he could implement a Muslim ban or build a Mexican border wall without congressional approval.

Ryan said he wasn't sure of the "legal question" of whether Trump could institute a Muslim ban on his own as president.

“That’s a legal question that there’s a good debate about,” he said, citing the 1952 Immigration and Nationality Act.

"On the broader question, are we going to exert our Article I powers and reclaim this Article I power no matter who the president is? Absolutely," Ryan said. He also said he discussed the limits of the executive power with Trump.

In the interview, Ryan said his endorsement of real estate mogul did not give Trump “a blank check,” and that he was still trying to achieve "real unity" between the presumptive nominee and his caucus.

"I am going to keep being who I am, I am going to keep speaking out on things where I think it's needed, where our principles need to be defended, and I am going to keep doing that, I hope it's not necessary," Ryan said. "But the last thing I want to see is a another Democrat in the White House"

I don't get any of the defeatist bullshit anymore. It's either fight the good fight and keep pushing or let Clinton win the election.

I don't plan to lay down my arms ever in this fight especially with the possibility of defeat due to overwhelming odds.

There is an old saying in the Markets - Sell in May and GO AWAY (Summer Vacation) and ironically some of the biggest market corrections occurred in the September to October timeframe after summer vacations...

We have this year both conventions DEMs and GOP this summer and Trump is enough of a fighter that he is not taking this GOP convention for granted and has a lot of operatives in the battle not the least of which is himself.

Point is the General Voting Public not likely to engage until after the summer is over and kids are back to school Sept Oct Nov and Election Day...

A lot can happen between now and then, it hs been nearly 8 years since the 2008/09 Correction/Recession financial crisis as it was referred to in Moscow - the pressures are building for an even Greater Correction - Obama hates Hillary, Bernie, and Trump as none share his BLM narrative or life... I would not put it past BHO to drop an Economic Nuclear Grenade into the laps of the next POTUS Elect after election day and before Inauguration day 2016 if not sooner.

Interesting Newsletter today:

Janet Yellen’s $200-Trillion Debt Problem
BY BILL BONNER, CHAIRMAN, BONNER & PARTNERS

The U.S. stock market broke its losing streak yesterday.

After five straight losing sessions, the Dow eked out a 92-point gain.

The financial media didn’t know what to say about it. So, we ended up with the typical inanities, myths, and claptrap.

Blame “Brexit”

“Brexit panic may be your big chance to buy the S&P 500,” says a headline at MarketWatch.

The article claims investors have pushed down the value of the S&P 500 in fear of a so-called “Brexit.”

Next Thursday, in a national referendum, British voters will decide whether to end Britain’s 43-year membership in the European Union.

But there are a number of problems with this…

First, there has been no big rout in the S&P 500; it’s only a few hundred points below its all-time high.

Second, Brexit is a mystery to most U.S. investors, not a cause for alarm.

Third, nobody knows which side will win… or what it will mean.

Would a Brexit be good for Britain? Would it be bad for stocks?

Nobody knows!

[Editor's Note: Bill's experts on the ground in London shared their takes on the potential impact of a Brexit in yesterday's Inner Circle titled “Britain Is About to Crash Out of the EU… Here’s What to Do.” Paid-up subs can catch up here.]

Meanwhile, the Financial Times focuses on “slowing job growth and risk of Brexit…”

It notes that a possible Brexit next week is one reason Fed chief Janet Yellen cited for holding off on raising U.S. interest rates at this week’s monetary policy meeting. The newspaper also notes that the Fed has left “the door open” to rate increases.

We’ve been saying the same thing for years: The Fed will NEVER follow through on its pledge to return interest rates back to “normal.”

Never is a long time; but so far, so good. The door is still nailed shut.

On Edge

First, the Fed waited until last December to pry open a single quarter-point rate increase.

That took the federal funds rate – the base lending rate of the entire economy – to all of 0.5%.

When that set the world’s nerves on edge, the Fed did as we warned it would: It put away the crowbar… procrastinated… hesitated… mumbled… and dragged its feet.

Every month brought a new meeting of the Fed’s monetary policy committee… and each meeting brought forth an effluent rich in waffle and hocus-pocus.

The Fed’s chief witch doctor, Janet Yellen, says the committee will make its decision based on the incoming data. The next move toward normalization of interest rates will be “data dependent,” she insists.

That idea is preposterous, too. These are markets we’re talking about; they go up and down. After so many years of a bull market on Wall Street, Mr. Market must be planning for a change. Stocks gotta go down sometime.

Can the Fed raise rates in the face of falling stock prices?

We don’t think so.

And with the annual rate U.S. GDP growth falling below 1% in the first three months of the year, a prudent investor should prepare for a little backsliding in the economy, too.

Will the Fed cling to its “normalizing” program when a recession sets in?

Nah.

Bear markets and recessions are facts of life. Because mistakes are facts of life. That’s why markets go up and down. People pay too much for stocks; they need to take a breather until their companies are worth what they paid for them.

Businesses invest too much… hire too many people… produce more than they can sell. Occasionally, they, too, need to slow down… work down their inventories… lay off workers… and prepare for the next growth spurt.

Upsetting the Applecart

There is no magic to this… nothing new to these patterns. Yet investors are surprised every time!

The headline news is still relatively good – positive GDP growth, high stock prices, and presidential candidates who will “Make America Great Again.”

What more could we want?

And yet, even with these benign conditions, the Yellen Fed is fearful. It won’t take a chance. It won’t make a move. The door is not open; it’s closed.

Of course, the Fed knows that the headlines mask the real weaknesses in the economy.

Industrial production has been falling for nine months in a row. Factory orders have been going down for the past 18 months. Commercial bankruptcies are rising. And tax receipts are beginning to fall, as they typically do before a recession.

More than $10 trillion of government bonds now trade at negative yields. And another $10 trillion or so worth of U.S. stocks trade well above their long-term average valuations.

And there’s more than $200 trillion of debt in the world – with about $60 trillion added since the global financial crisis.

All of this sits on the Fed’s financial applecart. Does Janet Yellen dare upset it?

Nah. It will have to upset itself.

Coming up next week:

The Donald… explained!

The Fed’s real strategy….

And more…

Regards,

Bill

Further Reading: That $200 trillion of debt is hanging over our heads like a cartoonishly gigantic weight… And one day soon, it’s going to come crashing down.

That’s the disturbing scenario Bill explains in his latest online presentation. It’s a story you need to hear, so you’ll know exactly what’s coming… and how to protect yourself and your family.

Lol, the Washington Post reported on it. That's how you know it's all bullshit.

It's a bunch of rumors and zero people with power are interested in blowing up the Republican party with a last minute rule change. Greater chance Hillary is indicted.

If only he cared this much about stopping Obama's illegal oversteps of executive power

Mindblown2

Trump and Manafort need to sit down with Ryan and tell him to shut his fucking mouth or else they'll start to bankroll Nehlen's campaign.

There is precedent for what Trump wants to do. The Immigration Act of 1924:

"...federal law that limited the annual number of immigrants who could be admitted from any country to 2% of the number of people from that country who were already living in the United States in 1890. The law was primarily aimed at further restricting immigration of Southern Europeans and Eastern Europeans. In addition, it severely restricted the immigration of Africans and outright banned the immigration of Arabs and Asians. "

Translation: Italian-Americans were involved in terrorist actions and this legislation stopped any more from coming in (i.e. Southern Europeans). THIS is my background. Do I have a problem with it? NO!!

Why the hell can't a law like this get passed now? If anything, this should have been the first law passed after Sept. 11. Yet instead of banning immigrants, they cracked down on Americans by institution the Patriot Act and Airport Security.

Why did Americans put up with this and why do they still?

This, without a doubt, is important to keep in mind.

A good example is Google, Facebook, Twitter, etc. since they are "besties" with Hillary, as we all know.

Recently, I ran a couple of search engine's autocompletion list tests on "hillary ".

It's pretty obvious Google and possibly Bing are manipulating their autocompletion list, but we have no way of knowing that even though one will know something is fishy going on.

Anti-Trump Protesters Bloody Photographer In Rock Throwing Incident

http://www.infowars.com/anti-trump-prote...-incident/

[Image: photog-rock.jpg?dopvhost=hw.infowars.com....hwcdn.net]

Quote:Violent protesters at last night’s Donald Trump rally in Dallas, Texas, threw rocks at supporters, injuring a photographer covering the event for a local paper.

Danny Fulgencio, a photo journalist for the Dallas Advocate, was pictured outside the businessman’s fundraiser with blood streaming down his face.

“I didn’t see the rock, but I felt it,” Fulgencio stated.

As the event’s commencement grew closer, crowds outside of Gilley’s Club in downtown Dallas grew more violent with police having to confront demonstrators harassing Trump supporters.

A Black Lives Matter protester was also arrested by police for disorderly conduct.

After mending his wounds, Fulgencio claimed he was OK.

“It bled like hell,” Fulgencio said, according to the Dallas Morning News. “Then it was okay.”

However, NBC 5’s Scott Gordon reported the person who threw the rock was never caught.

It's pretty obvious Google and possibly Bing are manipulating their autocompletion list, but we have no way of knowing that even though one will know something is fishy going on.

Building on this, I think the poll numbers are being manipulated in some way -- even if that way is Trump supporters not admitting their support.

This is a call to anyone in or out of the forum who has access to the old primary poll numbers. As I mentioned, I can't find these numbers. But I remember them being out of whack with what the results actually were.

If anyone from Brietbart or Newsbusters is reading, we could use an article on the discrepancy between how Trump polls and how he actually does in elections. I know this came up at some point and think it's going to be even more relevant as the general election closes in.

I don't usually follow poll numbers as I don't trust them, but there are two sites you could check out:
Polling Report
Poll Headlines

Speaking of Brietbart News, this just came out:
Quote:Breitbart Ranked #1 in the World for Political Social Media; Beats HuffPo by 2 Million

[Image: newswhip-may-june-breitbart-640x480.jpg]

by Ben Kew 17 Jun 2016
Breitbart News was the biggest publisher of political content for the months of May and June, with a lead of nearly 2 million more interactions than the second place Huffington Post.

The site came out on top in research conducted by NewsWhip. Besting the competition on a list that also includes CNN, The Hill, and The Guardian, Breitbart News had a total combined 9,098,o13 Twitter and Facebook interactions, of which 89% came from Facebook and 11% from Twitter.

Failing to make the top 10 list were outlets such as The New York Times and Fox News, although they do attract greater interaction per story than that of other news sites.

Breitbart has been leading the way in breaking news, opinion, and analysis of not just the build up to the 2016 presidential election, but of news around the world, with teams operating across America, the United Kingdom, and Israel.

Previous research undertaken by NewsWhip has shown that conservative news tends to perform better on social media than anything else, despite attempts from Facebook to suppress conservative voices in favour of liberal outlets, whilst Twitter continues to refuse to verify Breitbart’s official Twitter account and has suspended Breitbart News’ Milo Yiannopoulos’ account twice in the past 48 hours without explanation.

“These engagement metrics are proof positive that Breitbart Nation is leading the political conversation across social media,” said Breitbart Social Media Director and Managing Editor Wynton Hall. “Our readers have helped us cultivate a smart, vibrant, and engaged community.”

Breitbart News would like to thank all its readers for their continued interest and support.
