What part of "Make America great again" do you not understand you silly satan spawn.

They are wedded to the idea that the USA before the 1960s was Hell on Earth if you weren't a FUCKING WHITE MALE, and as such any change away from anything that happened during that time is unequivocally a good thing.

To them MAGA means returning to Hell, so they'll never embrace it. Despite how progressive and enlightened they are, they seem to be incapable of analyzing history and taking the good and leaving the bad. It's not just social issues either, look at the way a modern economist talks about 'post-industrialization' and the contempt some of them seem to have for men who work with their hands for a living.

Year Zero Progressivism at work. To those people America was never great. Not even now. Just a bit less bad than before. A bit less oppressive.

I believe a lot of Bernie people will just not vote or a slim silent minority will go Trump.

I took a look back and what LOZ said was "Once HRC clinches the nomination in June, it is likely that there will be some movement back towards her in the polls."

Now that is a much less definite statement. It can mean that her poll number will insincere, however slightly. But based on the context, I suppose that means after the nomination she will regain a sizable lead over Trump that's not statistically insignificant, not within the margin of error.

RE: The Donald Trump thread
When I first heard about Donald Trump's bid for the White House, my reaction was similar to the mainstream reaction - I had no knowledge of the man except for a few episodes of The Apprentice, and I considered him to be a reality TV clown making a mockery of the most important office in the world.

How things have changed in less than a year. As a non-American I perhaps have less stake in the election compared to most guys here. Yet the stakes for anyone around the globe are still significant. People around the world, while pretending to hate the US, still look to your country as a fountain of possibilities. America is the greatest political experiment, the distillation of all of the greatest ideals of Western civilisation which developed over thousands of years but were perfected in America.

Like I said, in the early days I had written him off as an orange-faced lunatic with a ridiculous haircut. But then I heard the first controversial statements about Mexicans. Those comments were insanely controversial, and nobody had ever heard a politician say anything like that. Yet in the back of most sane people's heads, they knew what he said to be true. And there was not a hint of racism in his comments. Although I agreed with Trump, I assumed that was the first nail in his coffin. And yet despite the constant media attacks, his ratings increased.

Soon after this, he made an even more outlandish statement - that he would ban Muslims from America. Again, I thought he had gone too far. The media did their job to paint him as a bigot, and once again they failed. Despite his sensible, politically-incorrect slander of Muslims, his ratings went up.

The man is truly phenomenal. He has shut down the media lies in a way that nobody in recent history has ever done. In the past if any politician had said anything "sexist" (Rosie) or "racist" (Mexicans and Pocahontus) the media would have grilled them and their
candidacy would be over.

And yet this shitlord prevails. The mainstream media is beginning to realise that their lies are increasingly transparent. Remember the media's account of Roosh's rape of Canada? Remember that, when you knew the facts, you understood how blatantly false that reporting was? It's safe to assume that most media reports are biased and full of half-truths.

And this is why Trump is so important. We have a man who can stand up to the lies of the mainstream media. When he becomes president this will have ripple effects over the entire civilised world.

The one I hate most is "post-scarcity," as if a post-scarcity economy is somehow right around the corner. It's like these people have never been outside their mother's womb.

(I'm not talking about discussing a world without scarcity as a theoretical exercise but it's never going to happen globally)

Great new release from Trump team. Would post excerpts, but should be read in entirety. Starts out with energy independence & jobs, transitions to BTFO Hillary.

#‎BREAKING‬: "Based on the fact that the Democratic nominating process is totally rigged and Crooked Hillary Clinton and Deborah Wasserman Schultz will not allow Bernie Sanders to win, and now that I am the presumptive Republican nominee, it seems inappropriate that I would debate the second place finisher," Donald Trump said in a statement.

I do not understand this reasoning by Trump. He has a lot to win by debating Commie Bernie Bro.

"Christian love bears evil, but it does not tolerate it. It does penance for the sins of others, but it is not broadminded about sin. Real love involves real hatred: whoever has lost the power of moral indignation and the urge to drive the sellers from temples has also lost a living, fervent love of Truth."

I'm bummed about it, but it's for the better. The Democrats are so fractured right now any good blow might shatter them and bring about a Biden.

Ideally we want Hillary to win. Hillary is the easiest opponent. Let them deliver her to the Donald.

RE: The Donald Trump thread
I think it's the right call. Trump doesn't need to debate Sanders because winners don't need to debate losers. Of course Sanders was into it because he's on the way out, he had nothing to lose and possibly everything to gain. Kimmel set up Trump by dropping that question on him the other night and in that situation, Trump couldn't back away from the challenge without coming off as intimidated. He played it perfectly by accepting the offer then and rejecting it now with good reason.

You don't actually think about arguments, you look at rep count and who you met, and that's it.

Interesting....

So when I speak to another senior member about a pattern of shitty behavior that's uncalled for because he mischaracterizes the very helpful and deeply insightful posts of another senior member. I'm talking about two personal friends of mine on the receiving end of just plain old shittyness.

That is the same as when an NCO can't shoot the shit with the other guys?

This is about the interactions between guys that have been here for years and only ONE of them has meltdowns every few months and acts upset when he isn't given enough credit.

Where in this scenario am I talking down and pulling rank to a junior member?

If what you say is true and I only care about "rep points" I have the fewest of anyone in this topic of conversation, except now you.

LOZ just perfectly destroyed Samseau's criticisms, as I expected him to.

His reply to Samseau's criticisms are exactly why I disagree with him and think he was out of line to begin with, in other words, I did think about the arguments.

Here's a better use of your references.

You're like the honor grad from basic training private that just showed up to the unit desperate to distinguish himself.

Instead of just observing how things work and staying out of shit that doesn't concern you, you are always there to give your advice and uniformed opinions.

Meanwhile your gear is always fucked up and the NCOs are happy to smoke you and even the other privates stop talking when you enter the room and distance themselves from you because YOU are the one that tries to act like you are superior.

Case in point.

You have the same response to everything. "Do I know this person? What's their rep count?"

That's all you got. Every...single...time.

And LOZ is a great writer, and I repped him because of that. But he's not good at predicting wide scale social situations, or even recoginizing degenerates like Cheatin' Cruz.

And you seem like a stand up guy in fight. You definitely have the back of guys you know.

But your shit talking and arguing suck. You have one line of attack, and you just go at it the same way over and over again.

Anyways, long live Trump, and y'all can still make bank at Betfair and Predicit.

Maybe you have a reading comprehension problem, but I just pointed out how your critique of my addressing samseau isn't applicable to me and how your NCO analogy isn't representative of the situation.

You're the one who brought up rep points, not me.

But if you're saying I don't care much about your opinion, then yes I'm guilty.

Edit - If you want to discuss something further you can PM me.

We were meant for far more than to suffer in our self created prisons only to die alone. It doesn't have to be that way. It never did.

Something I just realized for anyone betting on Trump

I got in on trump when he was at +700 and placed a 1k bet on him. I just realized that if I bet another 1k on hillary who is at -200 and $100 on bernie who is at +2200, that who ever wins this general election I'm going to be making my money back at a minimum plus 1k and a maximum of my money back and roughly 5k. Nearly ZERO risk whatsoever unless by some crazy chance someone other than one of those 3 win.

Right now I'm leaning on just staying with trump though for the 7k.

I have a very similar situation due to my wagers in August.
If you are going to arbitrage, then you should wait until after the June convention so that it is confirmed to be Trump vs Hillary. Strange as it may seem, there is a small but non zero chance that neither candidate wins their nomination, with Bernie not being the nominee either.

It's a very unlikely scenario that Trump get thrown out (though possible, depending on last minute shenanigans by someone like Tom Donohue), but it is slightly less likely that Hillary wins and then gives her nomination to someone like Biden depending on how badly the IG report hurts her. Biden would also be much more formidable than Hillary.

https://theconservativetreehouse.com/201...y-clinton/

I personally will ride Trump all the way and not arb.
