RE: The Donald Trump thread
I saw on the news this morning that loser Jeb has started to attack Trump. He is desperate and knows it is his only shot.

I am excited to see Trump crush this little bug. Jeb is the face for everything wrong with the GOP and now he has run his mouth off. Time for Trump to send him packing. He can go join Rand Paul, John McCain, Rosie O'Donnell, Megyn Kelly and most the staff of Fox News on the bench.

RE: The Donald Trump thread
Donald Trump really is getting more support than we know. I was talking to a girl last night who I thought was pretty liberal. To my surprise she outright agreed that our society is in decay (though she had hinted at this before), and even more surprisingly, she said she was starting to warm to Trump. She told me she thought his town hall in New Hampshire yesterday was brilliant. She lives in Texas which is ground zero for mass immigration so maybe that has to do with it. I'll ask her more.

The Overton Window is definitely shifting.

Leftism never fit her anyway, because she's big on self-improvement and making the most out of her life while remaining quite feminine. I think I led her to a better place. lol Actually, I think she's a good example of the kind of woman to be part of a neofeminine movement.

If Trump is now starting to get support from young, attractive women like her, it is over. Like Samseau said earlier, he's already pretty much the de facto leader of white men in this country who have been sold out for decades. But if he can get enough support from two of these three demographics (latinos, blacks, and women), he will win.

Still a long way to go but this is really encouraging me. First my mom's old friends start to support Trump and now she is.

As history demonstrates, women will vote for a man they find sexually appealing over anything else. Reagan, Clinton, and Obama all got larger than normal proportions of the female vote and I'd bet that had a lot to do with how they were able to present themselves as attractive males during the campaign.

Trump also has that edge to some extent. He's old yes, but hides it well with a good facial structure, immaculate fashion sense, and a dominant attitude/body language to match.

There's also another good point that I heard on the radio yesterday. One that I've known intuitively for a long time but have had a difficult time clearly articulating. The statement was that our ideas are actually much more popular than anyone would have us believe......but that the reason we are so marginalized is that the left is incredibly aggressive in punishing dissent. Think about the people that make up this movement: bulldyke hamplanets, pencilmen who wear skinny jeans, and the "small, dark, beetle-like men who scuttle so nimbly through the labyrinthine corridors of the ministry" Orwell described. All of these types do well in bureacratic organizations and rise into positions which, if not powerful per se, do allow them to punish enemies. Teachers, school administrators, HR managers, journalists, etc. They use the power of these offices to AGGRESSIVELY destroy anyone who doesn't believe as they do.

Consequently there is a huge number of people who are either afraid to speak out or unable to do so without destroying their livelihoods and damaging their families.

What's happening is that Trump has demonstrate that these people can't destroy anyone. That owning these beliefs previously shitcanned as "extremist" can make someone anti-fragile.....and the fear everyone has had of these people is starting to wane.

I admit I've never voted or even been interested in voting because in the short amount of time I have been able to vote i never saw a point in voting for someone who would for the most part not change a damn thing.

Trump actually has me very interested in politics and voting for the first time because the man has the balls and intelligence to at least attempt to the move the country in the right direction instead of letting its greatness slowly descend.

I'm not surprised by this at all really. I've been saying for ages that "feminism" for many women who claim to be feminist is just another fashion to them. It's not principle or conviction the way many men assume. They hear some rhetorically persuasive argument nod along. But they aren't completely stupid and are usually way more critical of other women than even the "misogynist" Return of Kings. The moment a confident, charismatic man comes along with truth and vision, they don't hesitate to abandon their cotton candy feminism.

RE: The Donald Trump thread
The fact that someone running for political office is proving so popular after his run of controversial statements just demonstrate to me how sick people are of politicians' vague word farts, their beige language that goes around the block to arrive at nothing. Every politician is guilty of this shit now. For a candidate to come along with not only a detailed plan but a determination to speak properly, is a rarity and Trump's continuing support shows this. The groups that the establishment and pollsters thought would be offended by Trump's very presence - non-Caucasians, women, etc - clearly aren't, which should be a loud and clear lesson that these people don't need to be permanently coddled.

The slogan says it all. President Obama's was "Change we can believe in". What does that even mean? 'Change' is a beige word in politics, something every candidate pulls out of the box because it just lazily taps into an emotion the electorate might be feeling without forcing the candidate to define that that change would ultimately be. The problem is that with large numbers of American voters being disillusioned with Obama's version of 'change' that shit won't wash.

Now look at Trump's slogan: "Make America great again". A slogan that means something.

Trump was asked, “You said that you have a big heart, and that you’re not mean-spirited. Are you aware that the term ‘anchor baby,’ that’s an offensive term? People find that hurtful.”

Trump responded, “You mean it’s not politically correct, and yet everybody uses it?” He then suggested the reporter give him a different term to use, to which the reporter suggested “The American-born [children] of undocumented immigrants.” Trump said in response, “I’ll use the word ‘anchor baby.'”

That's like passing a shit test.

Ohshit

This election has nothing to do with my country and yet I nearly fucking cheered when I read this, Trump's refusal to use a long-winded PC term just to avoid offending the odd precious little snowflake.

From ¡Yeb's! "rally" last night. Check out the excitement from the three in the green t-shirts against the back wall, the girl who's yawning says it all:

Looks like a private funeral wake.

I'll say one thing for George W., that guy had some charisma. Jeb is total zero. I mean he's basically an astroturf campaign (something that no one likes that's pushed forward by money). Look at everyone's body language. They either don't believe what he's saying, don't give a shit, or a wondering what they're missing on tv right now.

I think Trump is doing something really rare: making people eager to get out and vote for him. I can't wait. I want the election right now. Hard to believe we have a full year of this crap to go.

Jeb is lifeless and lacks enthusiasm. George W was able to connect with people through humor and personality despite his obvious flaws.

Trump has energy and charisma. It will be interesting to see if he can sustain this pace over the next several months.

I'm on record saying that the pendulum was due to swing right (although I thought it might take another election cycle after Obama for it to get into high gear) and it looks like Trump is the disruptive force. The Republican establishment better hold onto their hats. It really looks like Trump has a shot.

Trump shows us how to deal with low-T SJW white knights once again. Take notes.

Low-T hipster (you can tell by the sound of his voice) tries to virtue signal and posture about anchor baby being "an offensive term Sad." Trump says in Trump-speak to shut the fuck up, because we don't care about your faux outrage, faggot.

Also notice that the hipster tries to use obfuscating language to divorce the situation further from reality "American-born baby of undocumented immigrants." It just sounds retarded and you know it's bullshit just by that. Trump is finally saying that this does not need to be accepted, and people are taking notice.

RE: The Donald Trump thread
The reporter (who clearly sounded angry and sarcastic) in the anchor baby exchange is Tom Llamas from ABC New York (formerly NBC). He is the son of two Cuban parents who fled the Castro regime to the US.

From his manner and background, I estimate he feels a kinship with anchor babies or perhaps sees himself as an anchor baby (solipsism isn't always just a female trait).

I don't agree he is an anchor baby or should feel much kinship with them. According to him, his parents obtained legal refugee status (see this interview: http://www.huffingtonpost.com/jordana-zi...161.html). That seems likely, since many who fled the Castro regime became legalized refugees in the US. Therefore, his parents submitted to the proper process, went through all the administrative hoops and red tape necessary to become legally entitled to stay in the US. As refugees, they then had a family.

This isn't what Trump is talking about when he says "anchor babies". When people who are not US citizens themselves and have no intention of legally immigrating then still make sure they have their children in the US in order to foist those children on the US welfare state as "citizens" (then later perhaps making a "humanitarian" plea to keep the family together with the child "citizen"), that is what is offensive to Trump and to many other Americans.

Here's an extreme case:

Quote:Escaped Mexican drug lord Joaquin “El Chapo” Guzman ordered his young wife, Emma Coronel, herself a U.S. citizen and daughter of another Mexican drug lord, to give birth in California to secure U.S. citizenship for his children.

The Daily Mail reports that the feds didn’t thwart the Mexican drug cartel anchor baby scheme: “Federal agents wanted to stop her, but had no formal charges to file so had to let her go free.”

Another immigration success story — despite the $5 million bounty placed on El Chapo’s head in Mexico, Coronel gave birth to twin daughters on August 15, 2012. Antelope Valley Hospital helpfully left the last name of the drug cartel spawn blank on their birth certificates, making it difficult for authorities to connect the dots.

Thanks to Democratic Sen. Ted Kennedy’s Immigration and Nationality Act of 1965, El Chapo’s daughters will be able to petition for an unlimited number of relatives, real and fraudulent, to join them in the U.S. due to the law’s chain migration provisions. A fabulously wealthy clan of drug kingpins could easily work over U.S. immigration law to attain legal residence in the country, while milking the welfare state for all manner of benefits and tax credits. American citizens’ tax dollars would pay for the education of the cartel’s anchor babies.

Americans can also thank Supreme Court Justice William Brennan for writing the majority opinion in the Plyler v. Doe (1982) case letting Mexico send its pregnant cartel beauties across the border. The 5-4 ruling forbids schools from withholding taxpayer funding that would go towards educating illegal alien children — and Brennan tacked on a footnote that declared, “No plausible distinction with respect to Fourteenth Amendment ‘jurisdiction’ can be drawn between resident aliens whose entry into the United States was lawful, and resident aliens whose entry was unlawful,” as bestselling conservative author Ann Coulter pointed out.

http://www.breitbart.com/big-government/...alifornia/

We have pretty much the same policy in Canada (albeit our "chain" of relatives would not be unlimited) and I also find this offensive because of the potential for the same abuse. These people have no connection to the country they are targeting other than a desire to live there instead of where they are. They also have no intention of going to the time and expense of LEGALLY immigrating as they should. They are employing an underhanded tactic, a hack, to gain "humanitarian" access to the country and to the government cheese it supplies.

I'd actually say "anchor baby" is a pretty accurate term when considering all the above.

Just a human enjoying his "Apex-Predator Privilege" atop the food chain.

I'd guess operating costs are a bit different....

Got a kick out of them showing the Rolls Royce emblems on the engine nacells in the video tour of the plane.

RE: The Donald Trump thread
Respected economist (at least respected by me and many others on the fiscal right) sounds off on anchor babies today in his latest piece for the National Review:

Quote:One of the most widely known abuses of the immigration laws is the creation of “anchor babies” to get children automatic citizenship, when a pregnant woman simply crosses the U.S. border to have her child born on American soil. This is not limited to people who cross the Mexican border. Some are flown in from Asia to waiting posh facilities.

Not only do their children get automatic American citizenship without having to meet any requirements, this also increases the opportunities for other family members to gain admission later on, in the name of “family reunification.”

This is such an obvious racket, and so widely known, for so long, that you might think our “responsible” leaders would agree that it should be stopped. But, here again, there are excuses rather than action. One distinguished conservative commentator even said recently that this is such a small problem that it is not worth bothering with.

The anger of Americans who feel betrayed by their own elected officials is not a small thing. It goes to the heart of what self-government by “we the people” is supposed to mean.

To say that it is a small thing is even worse than saying that we can’t do anything about it. We certainly can’t do anything about it if we won’t lift a finger to try.

...

But it is indeed impossible if you are just looking for excuses for not trying. Republicans who are worried about Donald Trump should be. But their own repeated betrayals of their supporters set the stage for his emergence. This goes all the way back to “Read my lips, no new taxes.”

Even if Trump is told by the Supreme Court that he can't end anchor baby status without a constitutional amendment, at least he seems keen to have that fight. Hell, he might even then try to get that amendment. Everyone else is hiding their cowardice behind the law. If the law sucks, and everyone agrees it sucks, you have to try and change it.

Also notice that the hipster tries to use obfuscating language to divorce the situation further from reality "American-born baby of undocumented immigrants." It just sounds retarded and you know it's bullshit just by that. Trump is finally saying that this does not need to be accepted, and people are taking notice.

For a start the questioner doesn't know what he's talking about. Plenty of "Anchor babies" are birthed by women who very much have documents. Not immigration documents or green cards but tourist visa's, study visa's and maybe also H1B visa's. Though I'm not sure the work related visa's qualify. So apart from using six words when two would suffice, the term would also be outright wrong.

Having a law that makes nearly every baby born in a country a citizen of that country is just the most stupid thing ever. Can anyone think of another country that has this as part of their nationality laws?

Ann Coulter is a smart lady.

She breaks down the 14th amendment here.

Any chance that Trump gets taken out with a false rape accusation, similar to Dominique Strauss-Kahn? I hope he wouldn't be that reckless, but that incident really revealed what goes on in high level politics. He could be facing even worse things than that.

Actually, that may be just the thing it takes to bring attention to false accusations.

Trump is so popular with women, they will come out of the woodwork to support him.
