He's strong with the same people that gave him a landslide victory last time. The people that hate him are the same people that hated him last time. As long as the economy and unemployment keep humming along at the same level, he'll be re-elected. Big trade wins would be nice, but they're just the cherry on a very rich chocolate cake at this point.

My only worry, given exactly who his opposition is behind the scenes, is that they're setting us up for some kind of gigantic crash right before the election. That's the big nightmare scenario. And they're quite willing to sacrifice the American economy to get rid of him.

Trump's approval is beating Obama's at comparable times for the first terms and those are just the people willing to admit they favor Trump. Ask anyone that has been involved in polling or research survey data, getting people to be honest about Trump is similar to polling on gun ownership, people lie or fail to respond. Due to violence and stigma brought up by the rabid left, a good chunk of Trump's base is STILL in public hiding. You can't blame them, simply saying anything good about Trump(let alone saying you voted for or support him) on any college campuses or lefty work environment is akin to using the worst racial epithets. The dishonesty of the media has turned more people than you think, I personally know people that plan on voting for Trump that voted third party in 2016, solely because of how dishonest the media has been. Sure Trump may send less than prudent tweets but when the media comes out and the lies about said tweets, or lie about anything in general, Trump is absolved in most people's eyes.

If you even look at someone the wrong way it must be racist. I remember one time I did this to a black dad and his son. I was reading and sensed somebody walking a bit too close to me so I looked up and assumed a defensive position. The dad gave me a "why the fuck you have to do that to my son" and the girl next to me just rolled her eyes. These kinds of scenarios are the same. The normies will just get desensitized to it.
