I said it was fair because the competitions are interchangeable. I did an average ranking of the 12 teams in the Gold Cup, and the top 12 teams of the 16 in the Asian Cup. CONCACAF outranks AFC 62-71. It's not that much of a difference. Especially when you consider that the Gold Cup has 3 teams in the top 30, and the highest ranked team in the Asian Cup was Iran at 42.

I just realized the other day how steadfast FIFA has been about separating the sexes. The mens competitions are all men. The women are all women. Even the referees in the Womens Cup are all women.

In fairness, you could probably create a compilation of men the same way. Start with Yakubu in 2010.

Any senior men's team in the OFC would win this Women's World Cup if they were allowed to compete.
