BTW, if you haven't read Jurassic Park, you should. The movie version does not do the book justice at all. It's one of Crichton's better novels, and that's saying a lot.

Just watched it. I went in expecting a bad movie with cheesy CSI and dumb plot lines but it was actually a decent movie. I enjoyed it and would recommend it to anyone looking for a chill summer movie here which isn't full of dumb SJW-isms. Being on the forum here makes me evaluate all TV shows and movies I watch with a third eye for SJW themes but honestly this movie had none of it surprisingly.

Michael Crichton did a book or two on Jurassic Park and I read them as a child. They are really good and gory. He had a cmeo in JPII and was eaten by the T-rex in the city.

As for the CGI, in Jurassic Park they were out to make the CGI and animatronics world class and not just to make it acceptable to some exec when it came to budget restraints.

There are CGI effects and technicians which can do realistic CGI but the studio's are too cheap and placing humans in the midst of it makes it even more costly.

It is simply too costly for any studio to take seriously.

I like movies and I really enjoy the Jurassic Park series. I wouldn't mind all of these sequels and re-releases if the price of a ticket was in line with its actual value. 17$ for a movie ticket on a weekend is obscene.

I went to a theater on the outskirts of town where they do 1st run movies for super cheap. Like 8$ a ticket. I saw Anchorman 2 and ended up loving it. Why? Because of how cheap the ticket was.

When something is more expensive I expect to be wowed. At 17$ I better walk out expecting the best movie ever. Never really lives up to it.

At 8$ i'm more likely to enjoy it.

Like I said in my post, i'm looking forward to when it comes out on HBO.

Turning the icy cold execu-bimbo into a warmer version of herself for the extremely likable alpha adventurer type character played by Chris Pratt, and dumping on the effete hipster goon who feigns a self sacrifice for his oneitis who couldn't care less and "has a boyfriend", were hilarious and refreshing moments. But come on, the movie was still total shit.

The acting was bad, the plot was terrible, the lines, good god, the whole thing a disaster. Dumbing down movies for the new American audience is clearly here to stay. Exec's want returns on their formulaic CG laden investments. This movie however still managed to under perform even in that arena.

In fact, I don't even think the new American audience is really completely to blame, as now foreign markets are hugely important as well (of course what it modern America if not a mixed up microcosm of the global population united for ummm....consumerism?). What is the median IQ of humans on planet earth? Find it and you will understand why movies like Fast and the Furious 7 exist, and will continue to exist.

C'mon, it was sequel #3 of a movie that was destined to have bad sequels.

It was worth a watch for what it was, but you can't expect Oscars out of these kinds of movies.

^This isn't just a sequel to any franchise, it's Jurassic Park. If they're going to make a continuation of it after more than a decade, I actually do expect it to be Oscar-worthy.

I mean, I didn't, because the trailers killed that expectation, but in some alternate universe, there's a RVF thread full of guys jizzing all over the place because Jurassic World was that good.

Okay, I'm gonna say it again. This movie was excellent and one of the best I've seen all year. The red-pill concepts were self-evident in the plot and the dinosaurs were entertaining.

To the above poster, I AM 'jizzing myself' over how good this movie was. For something made by Hollywood it was refreshingly anti-feminist and clever.

I think some of you lot are overanalysing stuff that doesn't need to be overanalysed. I also saw Jurassic World on Sat with a lizard and it met everything I wanted. Great CGI effects, decent acting and the scene where the nerd gets rejected by the geek lizard who says she has a boyfriend was a nice little twist.

Expecting more from a dinosaur film is like going to a stripclub and expecting to hear a strip ho quote Chaucer. No, you want some ass and a dirty hag with no gag reflex willing to swallow your kids for 20 dollars.

I personally thought it did what it needed to do. Thumbs up.

Spoilers.

Just saw the movie last night. Great flick, I highly recommend it. Finally a movie where a strong masculine figure rises over the female role and becomes the hero of the movie. And it's a story about brotherhood and loyalty too. The two brothers sticking together, and the raptors remaining loyal to Pratt I thought were actually pretty touching themes. I left the theater with my chest a little more puffed out.

There was one scene where some cunty woman character gets eaten, and I almost wanted to stand up and shout for joy. The closing words by Chris Pratt to the female character after she becomes enlightened to the fact that she may want a family was like a huge slap in the face for feminists. She submissively looks at him and says "what do we do now?" Pratt says, "we stick together, for survival". As if to say, let's cut this gender war bullshit out. You know your role and place, I know mine, let's make family work. At least that's how I saw it, maybe it's just wishful thinking. To bad the movie also didn't show how she would be probably be held accountable for everything as the CEO, hah.

These are the kind of movies we need more of. Movies that tell boys its ok to boys. To encourage loyalty, strength and leadership in men, and tell women that there's more to their lives than their lattes, profits, and investor meetings.

I dunno man, I don’t look upon the media to inspire women I’m looking to bang. If you look a bit similar to Chris Pratt, you might get the bang, but I don’t know how else the movie would work in your favour. You probably would have got the bangs anyway.

In regards to the film, I thought it was great (8/10), but it’s not as good as the original (10/10).

It's actually sequel number 4. The 3rd sequel had Grant back in it. Download it from the pirate bay. Jurassic Park 3 is so bad I wouldn't bother paying anything for it.
