I'm interested in hearing what kind of symbolic gestures rvf'rs practice. Even superstitions. Essentially, are there certain rituals you perform that are significant to you in regard to your game.

I started thinking about this a few hours ago when I was leaving my car. I smoke, so I grabbed my cigarettes and looked around for a lighter. In my cup holder I saw a blue lighter and a red lighter.

It's a simple and probably silly idea, but for some reason I thought I'd rather be a red lighter guy than a blue lighter guy when I light up while chatting up that dirty blonde bartender with the big tits or the pre-wall paralegal who wants to believe she's an empowered career woman but just can resist being a little excited by the guy who keeps sandbagging her attempts to "be taken seriously".

Any specific rituals?

Treat everyone with respect, until they give you a reason to do otherwise. I can't believe how many people talk down to people they deem "inferior" to them, like wait staff in restaurants. Whenever I see someone giving shit to someone for no reason I know that I cannot trust that person, nor do business with them. And they have some serious "lack" they're looking to satiate.

Always talk and make friends with guys at a party/night venue before I approach any women period. At least one. Part personal bias as nightclubs were initially intended as social environments to meet new people just as much to pick up women.

So I make atleast one new friend that I may or may not see again. That's up to circumstance, but it's always what gets me in gear for the first approach. I'm actually just as likely to pass women to these guys I just met as I am to stay and try to take them home. Granted usually only with leads that I think won't work out well, but all the same it is what it is.
