The Groupthink is blatant.

I don't use Facebook often but what I saw there yesterday was about 80% of my female contacts with the Rainbow flag super-imposed onto their profile pictures. Was shocked to see that an ex who was a staunch Roman Catholic was one of them.

Power of the media on the week minded, what can we do?

RE: Why We Are Always Moving Left, And Not Likely To Stop
I wonder how many of these good folks putting up their rainbow icons have had coffee and a supportive conversation with gay friends in the past, when their gay friends were really suffering all the terrible practical consequences from not being able to marry? Because there was so much of that suffering going on...right?

Dr Johnson rumbles with the RawGod. And lives to regret it.

"An overproduction of Cathedralites via the university system necessitates the acceleration of holiness spirals, in order to obtain status."

This is a pretty good insight I think. Things clearly are speeding up recently, no gay marriage to full gay marriage in just over 10 years is amazing. All this outrage online is just status signalling to other like-minded SJWs. It feeds on itself and accelerates so quickly that we are literally seeing mainstream publications advocating polygamy and incest. Out of control...

RE: Why We Are Always Moving Left, And Not Likely To Stop
One of the ideas from the original post here is that Leftism is basically a descendent Mainline Protestantism and Puritanism, stripped of any reference to any God or anything supernatural, but that in every other way it acts as a religion, and is essentially our state religion in the same way that any other state might have a state religion.

Because our government was established in a time when religions were universal, they tried to protect the government from control of outside religions. Yet modern liberalism functions exactly like a religion which seeks to stamp out competition from others, just without saying God or Jesus. Hell you do even hear many liberals from time to time reference Jesus as a "communist" or someone who had wonderful teachings, if it weren't for all the "God" stuff.

In the original Unqualified Reservations article I linked to, they linked to this 1942 article from Time about American Mainline Protestantism's plan for the world. It went like this:

Quote:These are the high spots of organized U.S. Protestantism's super-protestant new program for a just and durable peace after World War II:

>Ultimately, "a world government of delegated powers."

>Complete abandonment of U.S. isolationism.

>Strong immediate limitations on national sovereignty.

>International control of all armies & navies.

> "A universal system of money ... so planned as to prevent inflation and deflation."

> Worldwide freedom of immigration.

> Progressive elimination of all tariff and quota restrictions on world trade.

> "Autonomy for all subject and colo nial peoples" (with much better treatment for Negroes...

Unqualified Reservations follows:

Quote:You see, the problem is not just that our present system of government - which might be described succinctly as an atheistic theocracy - is accidentally similar to Puritan Massachusetts. As anatomists put it, these structures are not just analogous. They are homologous. This architecture of government - theocracy secured through democratic means - is a single continuous thread in American history...

What's great about the "American Malvern" article is that, while it describes a political program you will place instantly, it describes it in a very odd way. You are used to thinking of this perspective, which is obviously somewhere toward the left end of your NPR dial, as representative of a political movement. Instead, the anonymous Time reporter describes it as a religious ("super-protestant," to be exact) program. Isn't that just bizarre?

We have caught the worm in the act of turning. The political program and perspective that we think of as progressive is, or is at least descended from, the program of a religious sect. Unsurprisingly, this sect, best known as ecumenical mainline Protestantism, is historically the most powerful form of American Christianity - and happens to be the direct, linear descendant of Professor Staloff's Puritans. (You can also see it in abolitionism, the Social Gospel, the Prohibitionists, and straight on down to global warming. The mindset never changes.)

http://unqualified-reservations.blogspot...ified.html

On the blog AntiDem, the same topic is discussed:

Quote:What explains the burning hatred that the left/the New Atheists have for Christianity? Simply not believing in it is not enough to explain it. They do not believe in Buddhism or Hinduism either, but do not express the same hatred of these faiths – not even of Islam, which is arguably even more antithetical to their beliefs than Christianity is, receives anything close to the same level of hostility from them. And besides, are these not the same leftists and atheists who not so very long ago, when they were the underdogs and were pleading for tolerance, used to quote Thomas Jefferson’s pronouncement that “It does me no injury for my neighbor to say there are twenty gods or no God. It neither picks my pocket nor breaks my leg”? If this is so, then the reaction of those who do not believe in God toward those who do (or those who believe in evolution toward those who, for religious reasons, don’t) should be only apathy. So their neighbors believe something that we regard as irrational – so what? The world abounds in irrational beliefs, both religious and secular. They will never all be eradicated, so why bother wasting time and energy in hating it and trying to talk people out of it? (Which the do, incessantly – one can barely say “God bless you” after someone sneezes without having some atheo-leftist who happened to be within earshot fly into an angry anti-Christian tirade).

The truth of the matter is that the left hates Christianity because the left is a fanatical utopian cult, and Christianity represents competition in its space. There can be only one utopia, and only one true path by which it can be reached. Either it will be the Kingdom of Heaven, reached by following the Holy Word of Jesus Christ, or it will be the Whig/leftist “end of history” eschaton, reached by following the Holy Word of Equality. There is no room for both – for one to be true, the other must be false, and in order for people to accept one as true, they must reject the other as false. Anyone who attempts to find a middle way is a fool who is wasting their time on an impossibility. Leftists understand this, which is why they despise anyone of genuine Christian faith and treat those who practice “progressive Christianity” as mere useful idiots (which is precisely what they are). The atheo-left passionately hates its competition, and works tirelessly to destroy it by any means necessary. The mainstream religious right does not fully understand any of this, merely dislikes its competition, and seeks ways to limit it via the gentlemanly rules of liberal democratic capitalism.

I can remember how they all screamed about the generation X in the 90s of being without goals and direction.

Every generation has a different propaganda that tries to impregnate them - also their technological and economic conditions are different. Not all Millennials are equal and many will now make full impact with the reality that the jobs are disappearing or paying peanuts.

As Samseau has pointed out - in government agencies, NGOs, but also low level tiers of corporations - women get hired preferentially. Even in STEM fields women get first pick hiring instead of men (according to a recent study done). Women demand less pay, are more docile and are getting pushed by the state into all positions. But the difference is that those women won't be founding families on their own.

The leftist agendas will continue and so will the economic wasteland despite some opportunities that will remain open of course.

Good catch there on the "low level tiers" comment. There's a lot of industries that have extensive "diversity" initiatives for entry level employees but where the top level management is almost exclusively male. The example that comes to mind is finance. Despite what they tell the media most of them know that a majority of women are poorly suited for the immense pressure, crazy schedules, and aggressive, results oriented environment that is finance. However they also know that "career womynz" make great mules for mundane scut work at shit pay and use them as such.

I think it really is pretty spot on.

In fact you prove my point quite well - what the hell does faggotry have to do with Christ or any of the Bible? Couldn't be any more anti-Christ if they tried.

The Cathedral metaphor has to be stretched with ridiculous explanations like this:

Quote:The truth of the matter is that the left hates Christianity because the left is a fanatical utopian cult, and Christianity represents competition in its space. There can be only one utopia, and only one true path by which it can be reached. Either it will be the Kingdom of Heaven, reached by following the Holy Word of Jesus Christ, or it will be the Whig/leftist “end of history” eschaton, reached by following the Holy Word of Equality.

Islam has the same promise of utopia, so why not Islamic hate? That also promises heaven. Makes no sense.

Also calling Christianity a fanatical cult is absurd - the entire premise of the religion is the pursuit of Truth, since Truth is God.

In reality, Moldbug is mainly referring to the Catholics when he talks about "the Cathedral," which was one of the worst sects of Christianity that ever existed (and continues to exist). Pretty much 95% of negative things people associate with Christianity comes from the Catholics.

If he were to call the new left "the Vatican" then it would make more sense as a metaphor. But Cathedral, which is a universal term for all Christian churches, makes no sense at all because there is nothing even remotely Christian about the left.

RE: Why We Are Always Moving Left, And Not Likely To Stop
The explanation for why he thinks the left is directly descended from Puritan and Protestantism is in the exact page I linked to, feel free to read it. His argument is that modern leftism is descended from Christianity, and he goes into detail showing how Puritan and Protestant thought matches nicely with what has become modern liberalism/leftism. I was about to just block-quote him but it's a very long explanation so just check it out if you feel interested to hear why he says it. Above I did quote some of what he said to show the similarities and how the same political program previously existed in Christian religious sects.

The Left and the Church do have their root nature in common though. It was and is ultimately about ideological domination of one group over another (obviously the Catholic church more so, because of its centralized hierarchy). The desire for power is satisfied in many ways.

Either way, I think it is best that the religious Right stick to the more thorough objective moral reasoning and scientific evidence when fighting the Left. "Because God" can only work on people already amongst the religious, not society generally. I'm as atheist as you get, but my morals are still pretty much the same as those on the christian right.

Pointing out the facts about the gays, demanding moral consistency, and pointing out the damaging effects that gay embracement may have on society, is how the Right can win. Whenever they mention the bible everyone just snickers.

Really? I have been hearing that argument made since as far back as I can remember.

I think the entire point is that structurally, the right cannot win. There is no mechanism by which civil rights victories have ever really been rolled back. Gay marriage is legal now, it isn't stopping. Some states may hold out or challenge it in court, they will eventually be forced to do it, just like some states held out with public school integration, etc.

If you think that voting Republican or having a Republican President and Congress in place might help reverse this... Well just go try and see what happens.

Not in the US. In the US the only solution is an Article 5 convention to return power to the states.

Sounds like it's time to start betting on the left.

If you're going to try, go all the way. There is no other feeling like that. You will be alone with the gods, and the nights will flame with fire. You will ride life straight to perfect laughter. It's the only good fight there is.

Speaking of gay marriage in the US, it was the Puritans in the Massachusetts Bay Colony who wanted to establish government-issued marriage licenses in the new world, since they did not like the idea of the church - any church - as the ones solely empowered to issue them.

Well, Puritans, you should have left well enough alone - now look where we are. Any fool who reflexively bashes religion, corporations or whatever else and looks to government for more liberty plays right into the hands of power-hungry leftists.

Right now I would guess Clinton is more likely to win than any Republican.

But I do not think that the non-stop cultural victories of the left mean that the Democratic party will necessarily have a stronger than likely average of winning the Congress or Presidency from here on out.

You saw under the younger Bush that the whole Gay Marriage legalization push began. Bush himself pushed for a similar approach to immigration that Obama implemented via executive order. So Republicans can certainly be in office and control all 3 branches of government without really impeding the progress of America's non-stop leftward march.

However, it may very well be that the left has reached some sort of threshold where they have lurched the whole culture to the left so quickly that most Republicans seem so uncool that basically all of them will be laughed out of contention by the Mainstream Media.

RE: Why We Are Always Moving Left, And Not Likely To Stop
I do not buy the idea that the current leftist ideologies are descendants of Puritanism or Protestantism. Rather, they are the ideological descendants of the Old Left socialists and communists. I think people get confused about this because the New Left Frankfurters who fled Germany decided exploiting the same instincts in Europeans and European-Americans that old time religion used to shame them into behaving was preferable to violent revolution (which caused disastrous pushback like the rise of powerful revolutionary 'right-wing' forces like Fascism in Italy and the the Third Reich in Germany).

They also realized violent revolution was not really a long-term solution even if it succeeded because the mindset of the people mostly didn't change. You can control their bodies but you can't control their minds. This was seen as a problem in need of rectifying and that's what they're currently doing. They're enslaving the people without firing a shot.

Meanwhile, the amoral capitalists are distracting the sheep with all sorts of toys and care little for the welfare of the people. They are only concerned with how they can be used to generate more profits.

RE: Why We Are Always Moving Left, And Not Likely To Stop
http://www.radixjournal.com/journal/2015...went-wrong

Quote:The Right has always been practically synonymous with Conservatism, which has always been a ramshackle collection of contradictory positions that can not rationally defend itself. The Left is also a very diverse grouping, but unlike the Right, everything that is of the Left flows from, and is mostly logically consistent with, their articulated first principle. Which, again, is Egalitarianism. The specific points of emphasis may change, certain issues may be discarded, and they may even at times appear to contradict their own expressed ideals, but every manifestation of the Left is a coherent extension of a foundational belief in equality. In contrast, “the Right” is just a name we give to any reaction against the Left. For most of modern history, the Right has simply defended the status quo against attack from the Left, or argued for a return to a previous arrangement. In hindsight, we can say that the Right is usually defined by its relative support for inequality, but this is more a coincidence of favoring old ways over new than it is a coherent abstract ideal.

This is important because an ideology without an attractive abstract core to direct it will always be a house of cards, especially if the ideology is coming from the Right. Unlike that of the Left, the morality of the Right is not in-step with human intuition; it can only be arrived at intellectually, and even here, the path is not straightforward. Our circle often derides Conservatism as retrograde Liberalism, but perhaps the Right should have embraced Liberalism (not the Left) from the start.

The essence of the Right is an unequal order. But the first principle must not be because it is natural, or in keeping with any given tradition; these rationales crumble under logical examination. It must not be a reality that is accepted, but an ideal that is worth achieving. It must be an ideal that has human happiness as its aim; it must consider what the individual does want, and attempt to answer what he should want.

To make this concrete, there is no intrinsic conflict between ethno-nationalism and the core spirit of Liberalism. Ethno-nationalism flows from a logical, idealistic, abstract ideology of individual happiness—particularism. The starting point for particularism is that the individual should want to perpetuate himself, and therefore the state should be a means to this end. However, self-perpetuation means different things to different people. So the idea is that there ought to be a far greater multiplicity of states, representing as many human spirits as possible in order that the state may represent the individual’s will as closely as possible. The nature of the individual’s bond with his fellow citizens could be ethnic, religious, ideological, anything that is willed with sufficient power. The only limiting principle is the viability of the state, and its society, to perpetuate itself.

I do not run from the fact that ethno-nationalism is unyieldingly unequal: if you do not have the right lineage, you can not be part of the ethno-state. For the same reason, it permits less freedom. But looked at another way, it is profoundly egalitarian in that it attempts to provide a far more intimate happiness to the individual, and it is far more liberating in that it allows far more space for individual expression to actually make itself felt. The libertarian will counter that his proposals go further on both these fronts, but if it does not create or contribute to a lasting community, the individual will is not really willing anything. (This formulation, by the way, is entirely in sync with the Enlightened Social Contract theory of limiting a thing in order to preserve it.) In practice, particularism could get messy sometimes, but basing our arguments on the preservation of order has just gotten us where we are today.

The framework I'm operating in, elaborated in the link in the original post, is that Communism and Socialism is better understood as an outgrowth of the leftism that had already existed prior to it. Communism, Socialism, and even Fascism really are sister movements of Liberal Democracy, all governments meant to be "for the people".

If you read the links in the original post, you'll see the ability to trade the modern leftist movement back much farther before Communism or Socialism even existed, to the original Puritans.

RE: Why We Are Always Moving Left, And Not Likely To Stop
Some more reading on the subject from Moldbug. This is a book-length series of posts he wrote in response to Dawkins' "The God Fallacy" claiming that essentially, while Dawkins was right to reject "God" as nonsense, he is completely "pwnd" because his own belief system is just an evolution of Christianity which took out the whole "God" stuff, but is in fact more nonsensical.

The thrust of the argument is liberalism, progressivism, the belief in democracy itself, is all part of the same ever-leftward push that has been going on really since the Enlightenment. Moldbug defines it all as an evolution of Puritanism/Protestantism that just stopped mentioning "God" but continued apace with the rest of its program, and became able to take over the U.S. government by simply no longer being a "religion" as such because it no longer mentions "God" even though the same Puritan instincts are still seen everywhere.

This section is just a re-telling of American history in a less progressive light.

Quote:
In Reality #2, there is a clone of Planet 3, Planet 3.01, which is exactly identical and follows the
same orbit around the Sun, 180 degrees out of phase so that neither can see the
other.

On Planet 3.01, the temperate and subtropical latitudes of the northern continent in
the western hemisphere are a region called Plainland. (An English translation of
Vinland.) The inhabitants of Plainland are the Plainlanders.

Culturally, our Plainlanders fall into five major castes: the Brahmins, Dalits, Helots,
Optimates and Vaisyas. They can also be divided by descent: European, African,
Asian or Beringian. And their political conflicts identify them as either Coaster
(blue) or Middler (red). Of course, none of these categories is precise or complete. All
sorts of overlaps and subcategories exist. Nonetheless, these very rough high-level
abstractions are quite useful.

Plainland is owned by a sovereign corporation, or sovcorp. Its name is Washcorp:
the Washington Corporation. (I like this slightly better than one I tried earlier, Fedco.
It sounds even more neutral and enormous. Of course, Planet 3.0 has plenty of actual
companies named both Washcorp and Fedco, but none is particularly significant.)
A corporation is just a set of people working together with a common purpose -
basically, any organization. I should probably replace this word as well, but it is such
an effective offensive weapon that it would be a pity to just throw it out, and the
English meaning is extremely clear.

A corporation is sovereign - and thus a sovcorp - if there is no controlling legal
authority to which it can appeal, and it is responsible for enforcing and defending its
own law. Again, the English meaning of this word is extremely clear and historically
accurate.

Aside from the fact that it is sovereign, Washcorp owns Plainland in the same sense
that any person or organization owns any piece of property. It exercises absolute and
total domination and control. Plainlanders exist at Washcorp's sufferance. It can
expel them, kill them, or order them to obey arbitrary commands. There is no other
power to which they can appeal, and no Plainlander or combination of Plainlanders
has, or could conceivably have, even a thousandth of the military force needed to
defeat Washcorp. Nor does any such force exist anywhere else on the planet.
Note that Planet 3.01 remains identical to Planet 3.0 in all substantive details. Let me
add, however, the stipulation that on Planet 3.01, and within the boundaries of
Plainland, Washcorp is absolutely invincible. It is not even worth thinking about
thinking about a military strategy which could wrest Plainland from the eternal iron
grip of Washcorp. Also, the flag of Washcorp is a red W inscribed in a white circle on
a black field, and this sigil is honored with the Roman salute. Everything else is the
same, though.

I should also describe the history of Washcorp. It was founded by an aristocrat and
military leader, General Washington (hence the name), a prominent sympathizer of a
paramilitary gang called the Sons of Liberty. The Sons evolved into the first
identifiable ancestor of Washcorp as we know it today, the Continental Congress,
with its Continental Army under Washington, who swiftly established himself as
princeps.

This version of Washcorp is the First Corporation or the Continental Corporation.
The period of its formal existence, 1776 to 1789, is the Continental Period. The First
Corporation's goal was to use violent force to seize Plainland from its original
European owner, the sovcorp British Crown. Assisted by political divisions within
British Crown, it succeeded in this task and assumed ownership of Plainland through
adverse possession, winning the War of Atlantic Separation.

The original First Corporation was very weak and had limited power over its
subsidiaries, the provinces of Plainland, which retained much of their original
sovereignty as recognized in both its primary contract, the Articles of Confederation,
and its deed of cession as conceded by British Crown, the Treaty of Paris. In 1789, a
group of prominent managers wrested power from the First Corporation and
replaced it with the Second or Constitutional Corporation (1789-1861), which left the
relationship between Washcorp and its provinces informal.

The primary contract of the Second Corporation, the Constitution, was designed by
its primary architect Alexander Hamilton, one of Washington's cronies, to shift
sovereign power gradually, subtly and irreversibly away from the provinces and
toward Washcorp itself. (Compare to the similar approach of present-day Eurocorp.)
Interprovincial tensions always undermined this strategy, and in 1861 a group of
provinces joined forces and attempted to seize the southern half of Plainland in the
War of Southern Separation.

Under the messianic dictator Abraham Lincoln, Washcorp won this war and
subjugated the rebellious provinces. No more was heard about provincial
sovereignty. The War of Southern Separation effectively revoked the Constitution,
and converted Washcorp's management process to an informal system with no strict
textual basis, opening the Third or Nationalist Period (1861-1933). It is also notable
for its introduction of military slavery - ie, the draft - to Washcorp's playbook. All
major Washcorp wars through the 1970s were fought with Plainlander slave soldiers.
The Third Corporation retained many elements of the old Constitutional system,
notably the theory that Washcorp's sovereign discretion was constrained by a list of
enumerated powers. However, it also developed a state religion of transcendental
power worship, or Nationalism. The quintessential Nationalist tract was the sciencefiction
novel Looking Backward by the Social Gospel fanatic Edward Bellamy, which
predicted with remarkable prescience that by the year 2000, Washcorp would
exercise complete and detailed control over the lives and occupations of all
Plainlanders.

The essential idea of Nationalism was that Washcorp was deeply and fundamentally
good, and could bring this spirit of righteousness to everything it touched or did. If
this seems hard to understand, it is best explained as a continuation of the Protestant
postmillennial tradition, with its emphasis on achieving the New Jerusalem, the
kingdom of Christ on earth.

Nationalism can only be understood with respect to the system known as democracy,
in which Plainlanders reconsecrate their obeisance to Washcorp regularly and
indirectly, pledging their submission to one of several (typically two, but rarely one
or three) political gangs, or parties. The parties alternate in power according to
headcount of registered supporters. In the late Constitutional and early Nationalist
periods, Washcorp operated under the spoils system, in which the parties distributed
Washcorp's revenue to their supporters by disguising these dividends as the salaries
for so-called jobs.

Democracy, which had deep roots in the English Dissenter sects to which early EuroPlainlanders
subscribed, is best seen in terms of the system of ritual legitimacy it
replaced, divine-right monarchy. The older divine-right sovcorps legitimized their
ownership - that is, persuaded their subjects not to rebel - by attributing it to divine
intervention. Democracy arrived with the advent of new religious systems which
stressed the divine nature of humanity. This inner light, of which all adult males (and
later females) had exactly one, could be counted and summed. If Washcorp was
directed by this arithmetic, its actions could not fail to be righteous.

RE: Why We Are Always Moving Left, And Not Likely To Stop
(06-27-2015 11:49 PM)Sonsowey Wrote:  A wonderful bit of writing called "The Rise of Universalism" here bringing together a lot of data on the original quesiton: Why we are always moving left, and not likely to stop:

Quote:I don’t particularly lament the secular rise of “universalism” that has occurred in Northwestern European societies (and their derivatives). Indeed, as a Black man, this is especially important to me. Without universalism, slavery may never have ended in the West. Without universalism, my family may never have been able to come to the United States from Jamaica, and I would likely not exist. Without universalism, laws banning interracial marriage might still be on the books, and my marriage to my wife would not be recognized throughout much of the country, and quite possibly my son would not exist.

“Universalism” is, broadly, the belief that all humans deserve the rights and recognition that historically people would only reserve for their own clan, own tribe, or at best, own countrymen. The idea of “universal human rights” is a very foreign concept to most of the world (even if many pay lip service to the idea today). As we saw in my previous post (200 Blog Posts – Everything You Need to Know (To Start): section Intraracial group variation and HBD Chick’s theory), this is the purview of Northwestern Europeans, a group of people who are distinct from all others in the world.

Many Northwestern Europeans unfamiliar with this fact assume that values found in WEIRDO societies are found across the globe. This has led some like Steven Pinker to conclude that all humanity is imbued with an “expanding moral circle.” That is, we posses an adjustable circle of morality, that can be expanded when we gain familiarity with those outside. If one confines oneself to NW European societies, it sure does look that way: we no longer keep people as slaves; we feel all have a right to participate in democracy; we don’t allow child labor; we feel that the disabled and the mentally ill deserve to live with dignity; Jim Crow has ended. We have enshrined a Universal Declaration of Human Rights as adopted by the United Nations (a NW European invention). We even extend some of these ideas beyond the human species with certain segments pushing for animal rights...

In short, the idea appears to be this: once sympathy (and hence rights) are extended to one group, what’s to stop it from being extended further? If it is wrong to enslave poor Englishmen, then why is it OK to enslave Blacks or Native Americans? If the wealthy are deserving of living decent, healthy lives, why not the poor? If men can have the right to vote and earn a living, why can’t women? If Whites can marry other Whites, and Blacks can marry other Blacks, why can’t Blacks marry Whites? If straights can get married, why not gays? If “cis-gendered” can have their own bathrooms, why shouldn’t transgendered?

The progress has carried us from the abolition of slavery all the way up to the “safe spaces” and “microaggressions” of today. NW Euro society aims to be more inclusive, as the expanding moral circle identifies more targets worthy of human regard. This means the process isn’t over, as it will likely continue to expand.

https://jaymans.wordpress.com/2015/06/27...versalism/

I commented on that post and pointed out universalism has seemed to target itself for extinction.

If what he says is true, that universalism is NW Europeans projecting their attitudes, then what is one to make of the fact that universalism seems to have decided Europeans are the problem and need to be marginalized and disempowered?

And frankly, as bad as every other progressive cause is, resisting this is what occupies most of my thoughts and energy.

RE: Why We Are Always Moving Left, And Not Likely To Stop
We are always moving to the left because of the globalist (aka international bankers aka Rothschild) agenda. If you study history you'll see the dominoes falling towards a new world order. They almost own all American politicians, there is two goals no matter who is in office, sink the country in debt and burn the Constitution. Republics do it through wars democrats do it through welfare.

The Government is doing everything it can to oppress its own people. Welfare programs are not designed to help people but to keep them poor. Children are being diagnosed bull shit disorders to drug them up. Men are constantly being attacked and feminized. Look up the studies on how mens testosterone is on the decline for the last 100 years. They keep us distracted with Hollywood, sports, and alcohol and keep us divided with CNN and FOX. Dived and conquer and they have done it to perfection.

I think America has about 20 decent years left in her. Make all the money you can and get the fuck out!

First post and want to say thank to roosh and everyone else on this forum.

RE: Why We Are Always Moving Left, And Not Likely To Stop
Welcome. But read your history a bit closer - it's not always the Republicans who start wars - FDR was itching for a fight with Germany to distract from the depression and got his wish, finally, in 1941 when he declared war (after they did, for us declaring war on Japan). More recently Barry O found an excuse to destabilize Lybia by carrying the water of European militaries that could not do it on their own. Vietnam was at the hand of JFK and LBJ, etc.

You are right slickboy, i was generalizing today's politicians. Obama wanted to destabilize Syria too but ISIS is doing a good job of doing that for him.

RE: Why We Are Always Moving Left, And Not Likely To Stop
Life is too easy and people feel entitled to luxuries without working for those luxuries. That's why the welfare state has ballooned in all Western countries over the last 100 years. People grow up expecting good things to happen to them without having to work for those things. Each generation is weaker than the one that preceded it.

Leftism is the politics of the weak and we are becoming weaker as a society.

Conservatives are more inclined to work for what they want. They are ready to fight, they are aggressive. The problem is that this same movement attracts the hyper-aggressive people who feel restless without a fight and so they initiate expensive and unnecessary wars.

It's a vicious cycle. The bullies (conservatives) put is in debt to fund their unnecessary wars, the bullies lose power to the pussies (leftists) who expand the welfare state (usually with debt) to appease the mass of weak people who would rather put future generations in debt than live within their means.
