Breast cancer charities have criticised a viral trend sweeping the internet for trivialising the disease, as it emerged the stunt was created by an adult entertainment talent scout.

Thousands of men and women have joined a Facebook page devoted to a project dubbed the #HoldACokeWithYourBoobsChallenge.

Dozens of pictures showing women - and some men - bearing their breasts have been posted online after the trend began sweeping the internet.

But it has now emerged that the stunt is the brainchild of an adult industry talent scout, Danny Frost, and model Gemma Jaxx, who said she wanted to make a parody of the Ice Bucket Challenge. The challenge raised more than £75million for people suffering amyotrophic lateral sclerosis.

The latest trend is not raising any money for charity - and has been criticised by cancer charities.

1. As Samseau points out, those hard plastic titties should be able to hold anything--just like plastic shelving or a plastic coat hanger.
