Even though I'm hesitant to apply the rules of marketplace to everything, there's no single thing in the world to which they apply more than pussy. So you're right. • No "rape culture" and/or "consent" alarmism (girls weren't terrified of all men)
• Egos fitting a girl's station (no laundry lists of demands)
• Fewer slut bailouts (Plan B pill, IUDs for regular girls)
• No walking around 24/7 with headphones or making phone calls
• No cat epidemic (de-stigmatization of lazy proxies for nurturing instinct)
• No online male thirst
• No easy approaches for socially awkward men
• Porn was scarce, hard to get, or low quality
• No stigma on having game or being a "ladies' man"
• No criminalization of healthy amounts of "bullying" (correction of deviant, weird, or not-minding-your-own-business behaviors)

It seems to me the peak for this might have been the mid 80s to mid 90s. Before that, you get those great-looking late 1960s and 70s chicks, but a lot more demands for marriage and stigma for very basic single-guy behavior (watch an episode of Three's Company to see what I mean). Starting in the late 90s, you see the quick succession of cell phones, MySpace, headsets for cell phones, the advent of texting, etc.; The capstone to that steady decline was Facebook, 24/7 connectivity in your pocket, and the de-stigmatization of online dating.

So when you see the beginning of commercial "game" (1999/2000-ish), that was already a response to conditions that required elaborate adaptations to increasingly unfavorable conditions. Sure, game has always existed, but the new game was about hacking the brave new world of emboldened and declining women.

Of course, none of that early work talked about iPhone addiction or the 15-20 male models hitting up the same okay-looking girl through a simplified dating app that requires very little effort from women, apart from uploading 1-2 flattering pictures of herself, and accessible 365 days a year. That's where places like this forum come into the picture, where guys are having to adapt and innovate with increasing speed (and difficulty) to squeeze out a little more juice from the lemon.

I'm starting to think the guys who bounced from the states early in the going were the smartest, though I'm starting to hear that the cancer is spreading everywhere. Roosh, for example, tweets concerning information about the "good parts" of the world with more frequency now:

Yes, I frequently get "feedback" on my game from seasoned players. I don't say my game is "top shelf" based on my own assessment or as a big-baller statement. In all humility, it's the near-unanimous consensus. Guys I don't know come up to me and ask me advice on picking up girls when I've haven't done anything bold with a girl in their presence, and never so much as mentioned game in front of them. I also conceal much of my success with women, even from good friends, so it isn't that either. I've had a not insignificant number of girls tell me, post-bang, that they were sure we wouldn't bang that night, but my game was that good. Does that mean I stop working on my game or on self-improvement? No. I'm constantly adding elements, and refining the foundation. The problem is not my game, I assure you.

It's possible you're richer or better-looking than me (the latter I really suspect to be the case), but I'd be shocked if your straight-up daygame skills were better than mine. No disrespect. I appreciate the offer of going out with you, if it was sincere, but it wouldn't be as your student. You can always learn something from other men, but I suspect you'd benefit as much, or probably more, than I would.

All of this also doesn't have to be an either-or situation. It's possible for the sexual marketplace to have declined and for a guy with skills to continue to get girls. That's certainly my case. I'm not sure how one could make the argument that the marketplace isn't worse off overall than it was 5 or 10 years ago except by only looking at your own situation rather than the experience of men as a whole, which is something that guys saying the marketplace is good seem to have in common--that, and above-average looks.

This has nothing to do with my "failures" with women. I'm not sure how or why you're getting that from that post.

Tuthmosis, it's pretty clear to me that thinking about the decline of the sexual marketplace and manosphere type doom and gloom topics only hurts my game.

I think I'm in the Gio camp of just thinking about my own results and not focusing on what other guys are doing. I'd rather focus on myself. Honestly, I'm happy I'm improving each year, and getting laid more and more. Analyzing whether the pussy market is getting worse only makes the game harder for myself. Game requires positive thinking and a good mood, and going out when you think things are stacked against you makes things difficult.

I'd rather put my attention towards my friend who has 40 notches this year in Toronto than think about how the average guy has it tough. I want to emulate the former and ignore the latter because thinking about the latter will only make it tougher for myself.

In game, the belief that brings you the best results isn't the one that is necessarily true. A degree of healthy and positive delusion is a must.

And to be fair, we're all fairly lucky to be living today. Sure we might have missed a golden period, but this sure as hell beats most of history.

Well, there are multiple problems to address. The first question is: what do we do for ourselves? The second question: what do we tell young men (entering their twenties)?

I'm going to preface this discussion by assuming that we do not enter a major civil war or government breakdown in the next 40 years. This is a big assumption, but if things do break down then who knows what the best choices will be? So for the sake of logistics we will assume things are going to continue to degrade: fewer sluts continuously getting uglier and bitchier, conservative girls with higher and higher standards, and laws becoming increasingly tyrannical against men.

Let's start with the first.

It makes sense to get a loyal woman if you can find one. They are scarce as gold nowadays, but thinking this way is also counter-productive because it leads to pedestalizing a loyal woman. You must perform the mental gymnastics to realize she's worth keeping while never letting her know her true value. Really shit situation, but there's not much of a choice.

Even if you do get a loyal woman, you cannot marry her in the eyes of the state. Virtually all family laws today are extremely dangerous for men. Get married at a church, but never sign a marriage contract or the government will have a tremendous amount of power over you. And fighting that power costs huge cash. This is on top of the most dangerous fact of all: family laws can be changed by feminist politicians at any time and affect anyone under the marriage contracts. The fact is, marriage was always between a man's family, a woman's family, and God. So fuck the state. Once the state has power over you, who knows what they'll do with it?

The next problem is that it is nearly impossible for men today to raise their daughters and sons properly. The schools are designed to usurp the power of fathers at every chance. If a father actually wants to avoid having his kids fucked up in the head, then the only real solution is to homeschool and find other like minded parents over the internet to create schooling groups. Gender re-education camps will be in place within the next 10 years for sons, and there's almost no way a daughter comes out of a school without being either: an entitled bitch, slutty as hell, or a career whore. I wouldn't even send my daughters to any school (start looking for husbands at 16 for her) and for my sons I'd wait until he's at least 16 before sending him to a major highschool so that way he can defend himself if faggots try to come onto him.

On top of this, there's always the chance your woman will snap, call the cops on your ass, and take custody of the kids thus ruining all the years of parenting you put into them. I was talking to a guy in his 50's who told me he hated smartphones, and I asked him if he had any daughters not to get them any smartphones. He said he took away his daughter's smartphone but then his ex-wife forced her boyfriend to buy the daughter a new smartphone. So just like that, upstanding fathers are rendered powerless by shit women and insane laws.

Between the education system and the women, the chances children become degenerate are insanely high. At the end of the day, it may not be possible to win against such terrible odds in which case there's always Plan B: Fly to the Philippines and raise kids there, or live it out as a bachelor in the Philly.

But the one option I do not see remaining viable in less than twenty years is running game all the time, unless you feel like banging infertile aging sluts as you grow old. Men in their 40's and 50's will be prevented from gaming women in their 20's, count on it. Either through laws, or from women having so much dick thrown at them all the time they just require men to show ID's before they even talk to you, but I have a strong feeling the days of being a player for life in America are coming to an end. The trend is unmistakable. So the remaining women for men age 40+ will be women age 30 and up. I'll pass on that, I can't understand how anyone would be happy in such a life. I'd way rather go fuck young jungle bitches instead of old sluts.

Moving onto the second problem. What advice should be given to young guys?

I see a lot of older players such as Giovanny, just constantly espouse "Learn game and you'll be okay," when in reality that could be very, very bad advice for young guys. I think game is just a means to an end for young guys today, and young guys shouldn't be doing the same things we did because times are changing. If a young guy today can snag his high school or college sweetheart and keep that going while finding ways to get laid on the side until she wants to actually get married (and then the guy can decide if he wants to start a family), then more power to him. Of course, he shouldn't get married in the eyes of the state but just in the eyes of his community.

For single young guys they are looking at a steep wall to climb. I wouldn't want to be a single young man at 18 today unless I was very photogenic for online game. For the other 95% of men, mass cold approaching won't be effective nor will most bar game unless he is willing to spend an ungodly amount of time mastering the cold approach against technology that is increasingly alienating people into virtual worlds. He's basically forced into social circle game to get above-average women which places him at the mercy of his SJW friends in school. He's fucked to try and do things like we once did, approach chicks at bars, clubs, or streets non-stop. Doing that in the future will probably just get you recorded by some dude's night vision smartphone then uploaded to facebook for people to blacklist you from other bars. The cockblocks will be virtual but they will still be real. All of this is a function of decreasing amounts of young women being pursued by an ever larger single-male demographic.

Us older guys will still be able to offer good relationship game though. But the game is going to be more vicious, more cut-throat, and far more unforgiving in the future. Count on it. I don't understand how guys can claim to be alpha and then get weak in the knees when confronted with reality. Guys who only want to surround themselves with "happy thoughts, happy thoughts, happy thoughts" seems to be one of the effeminate attitudes I can imagine.

If you're depressed at reality, then your game isn't as good as you think it is. Good players can take any emotional punch and not feel a thing. On this we agree. I think the problems come when guys dwell on the negative changes rather than identifying them, discussing them, and adjusting appropriately. I have a hard time having complete faith in a guy's game when I hear an untempered rosy picture of their environment. Sarcasm aside, Im actually starting to think things are not so bad with us red pill men. That post was deep. Being a 20 year old up and comer that is some scary shit right there.

I'm not even scared for my own sake because fortunately I am good looking, tall, in great shape, dress well and know how to run with this online game at a decent level. I've had to put a lot of work in to get good at all that though. I was never a really attractive kid. Anyway I digress, it's not for my own sake why I'm worried.

It's for the guys coming up that I'm worried about. Some dudes are going to really struggle in time. I can't say I haven't noticed similar trends and as far as the generations beneath me. I can't lie it looks bleak.

My younger brother is 16 years old finishing up his last year of high school in the UK. You can count on one hand the amount of dudes in his year group that have gotten laid so far.

The best thing anyone is going to be able to say from playing this game in this particular society is that they got a lot of easy pussy.

I'm able to say that, but the fact that I can say that doesn't mean shit, I would have been given more for participating in a potato sack race.

It may not blow up, because the kids growing up won't know what they are missing. Slaves all throughout the Roman empire died sexless men, they didn't revolt and even when some guys tried it always ended in an absolute massacre.

Guys can also resort to whores, 3d porn, sex bots, or rape as well.

The real killer will be the near-zero birthrates, no country can survive more than a hundred years of that. However by the time the men take control again the population will have fallen to 1/4 of what it originally was, and other countries can invade, as well as lots of other bad stuff.

Regardless, don't lose total hope and kill yourself fellas - the fact the problem is even identified puts us waaaaay ahead of the game because we can structure our lives around these possibilities. That is how rational, optimistic men do things.

The article refers to AFC in the west.
If things get really bad there are other continents one can move too or visit.
Even a three hour flight to Dominican Republic or Cuba and you are in a different world.
I don't see this as a worldwide problem.

I got into the game in my early 20s, mid-2000, so about 10 years ago. I didn't really know anything about Red Pill or actual Game, but my mentor at the time just told me to go talk to people to build up social confidence. I was an AFC, but not the supplicating kind. I was just an out of shape, poor university STEM graduate i.e low value young man without much practice.

The timing was crucial, because only a few years later, smart phones and the age of social media started.

Despite not knowing anything about Game (I only stumbled upon sites like this about 3-4 years later), I could approach plenty of people in all kinds of situations: in shopping malls, on public transport, at church, at charity events, markets etc. I built huge social circles from absolutely nothing (very few of my friends and acquaintances now are from before that time). I met so many girls through that, and while they had plenty of issues (including the ones I ended up dating), it was easy to approach and get them interested enough to meet up with me again. You younger guys probably have never experienced calling girls up after a cold approach (I never TXTed, hated those damn old shitty phones) and having them picked up instantly and agreeing to meet up with you. They also hardly flaked either, and if they had to cancel, they nearly always proposed an alternative date. I didn't do any formal date, mind you. It was simply an invite for coffee during the day, or a drink at a live music venue at night. At the very least, you'd get the audition. Then it's up to you to game and seduce her.

I was low value and had beginners game, but I had a lot of practice. I had to work hard to approach, but the ROI of my time and effort was decent enough to keep me going.

Now, 10 years later, I'm making comfortably 6 figures and have a good reputation in my field, have no debts and healthy assets, in incredible physical shape compared to my past self and most men, am stronger than most in any gym, still look like I'm mid-20s, live in a centrally located apartment, can speak multiple languages, can dance and dress so well that randoms come up to compliment me, etc. I have an interesting life and can converse well with anyone from all sorts of backgrounds. Not bragging, just want to make a point that I'm now way higher value than I was back then, and honestly am a great catch for most women in the SMV range I'm targetting - the 6s and 7s, same as when I was younger.

Yet here I am, working way harder than my younger self just to approach girls of similar SMV, and to follow up with even more Game jiujitsu to get them to meet up. I used to be able to approach them with ease, as there was no ipod, iphone, nor insane suspicion of men due to the imaginary rape culture. Now it's like going through the 36 strategies in the Arts of War just to talk to a half decent chick. Getting coffee or a drink used to be casual and nothing, but nowadays they act as if I'm about to get on my knees and propose. As I have a lot more going on in my life, I keenly feel the waste of time and effort on those chicks, when all they really have to offer is sex and add absolutely nothing of value to my life. As jariel pointed out above, I feel like I'm mindfucking myself just to tolerate them enough for the bang. Or like Roosh wrote in one of his recent blogs, I had to channel all my thoughts towards horniness just to play along in order to close the deal, because these Millennial chicks rarely miss an opportunity to nuke my boner with their retarded SJW you-go-girl career women BS.

But you know what, I'm still damn glad I'm not a young early 20 low value man (myself 10 years ago) starting out in the Game, because that poor AFC would never get enough practice from learning Game to make it all worth his time and effort. He's better off spending that time and effort, particularly in this poor economy, insane student debts and housing costs, on learning other skills to make money and get the fuck out of the Western pussy hell.

The one thing I don't get is how everyone has such different opinions on the same subject with some respected guys like Giovanny (from San Fransisco), Saladin (from Toronto?) & Moma saying it is pretty good while other respected guys like Tuthmosis, Vitriol & rudebwoy saying the exact opposite.

Here's a few things I've noticed and experienced.

1) Peak Slut - should be a conceptual term in the Neomasculine Bible.

2) I live in the mid-west. (I'm almost 41). I've spoken to 3 different older guys in the past couple months; 39, 45, & 52 respectively, who admitted to turning to professionals to get laid. Each had nightmare experiences that scarred their lives. Each are normal average Joes who surmised the trade off in time/$$/emotions was worth the investment. 1 was my cousin.. a bit shocking.

3) The SMPlace change has occurred quickly enough that the lag-time in male responsiveness is easliy 2+ years behind, even from guys with "decent" base-level game. Changes seem to occur at intervals 6-9 months or less, in the behavior seen in western women. The smaller that interval gets, the closer we get to Peak Slut imho.
