The US is too hot for summer football and too large of country (stadia are too far spread apart) with poor public transport and not a supportive footballing culture.

England is decent, but second to germany.

Europe cannot have two consecutive world cups. If they give to Russia in 2018 and strip Qatar from 2022, the 2022 world cup will go to either the U.S. or Australia.

I was just stating how things SHOULD be in an ideal environment.

Unless Qatar is willing to lose face to save cash, the Qataris could jack up their funding of various terrorist groups worldwide. Let's be honest here, the Arabian Peninsula is filled with very proud people who are also religiously extreme and have a hatred for the West. If the World Cup is moved(it probably will be), I wouldn't be surprised if there was an uptick in terrorist attacks that year as a big "fuck you" to the West.

I know nothing about soccer but everytime this story comes up I can't help but think "Sepp Blatter" sounds like a really bad STD name.
