I think this may be the thread where I've hit the "like" button the most, great commentary on here, all I wanted to say is this just represents on a greater level the imbalance in the dating or sexual marketplace that is occurring in most parts of the U.S. A lot of the elite guys on here are talking about having harems full of women which is always the ideal goal, but the vast majority of guys in the U.S. are struggling to get sex from women that are usually not much better than a 6.

That said a lot of that blame is to be put on the man, if this Jewish dude from date lab hadn't showed up with flowers, came through wearing a fitted shirt, leather jacket, nice jeans, etc., had more of a cool guy vibe, and didn't scream cookie cutter cubicle beta, maybe the date would have gone completely different and the dude would have fucked her ass the same night.

However, the point I'm trying to make is that these two are arguably a good match on paper, they are both relatively close in terms of looks, I'd say they are both around a 6 with their SMV, however due to this imbalance in the sexual market place girls like her can sit back and pick and choose, have betas orbit, compete for their attention, shower them with praise, stroke their egos, while they pine over "hot alphas" who pick them up at the bar at the end of a Friday night, only to pump and dump them, and never text or see them again.

Shit I'm a relatively young dude, but I'm willing to bet things weren't this bad in the past, I bet 20 or 30 years ago this date may have worked out well, and the two would have hit it off, or at least she'd be open to the idea of seeing the guy again, and not say he was creepy, and "too short" even though he was a 1/2 inch taller. These chicks standards and expectations have reached ridiculous levels at least relative to their value and where it should be.

Hopefully I'm not coming off as overly defeated or pessimistic, I've seen my share of successes and failures. Game makes a huge difference and will help a guy achieve greater quality and quantity, but I still feel like it's often too much more effort and hassle than it should be, and women are just getting more delusional regarding what they feel like they deserve in a man.

This shit is funny to us since it really is such blatantly bad game.

But, I feel bad for the guy since he probably never had a person give him good advice or was skeptical enough to figure it out himself. When I was in high school I had sooo much bad advice. When I went on my first day, everyone was pretty much begging me to take flowers and chocolates on my first date. I had one guy who reasonably understood chicks say "Dude, just give her one flower or none not all". But this was in a sea of bad advice given.

I've always been somewhat questioning of people so after enough interactions with chicks, I threw out pretty much everything I knew and started from scratch. But most people don't have that sort of willingness to question everything.

His grandad would also have instinctively known that women who splay their dating life all over the media don't have a romantic bone in their bodies. This is attention-whoring for women -- a way to become more popular and powerful, not a way to connect with men.

Why does this same thing not go for guys? Because for men the goal is to get laid -- and meeting a woman through a newspaper is just another way to do that. Since this isn't the woman's goal, all of the dates at Date Lab are inherently mismatched. In fact, whenever you date a woman in the public arena (i.e. dating shows, Date Lab, "celebrity" bloggers), you're mismatched because dating is not her goal -- attention is!

One told me I am too slow.
To go for girls when they are vulnerable
My mom told me, 'just get to know them.' (ok this was bad advice).
One girl told me to dress better.
To be more patient.
To initiate proceedings or girls will take it as a slight.
No girl has ever told me to buy drinks and flowers.

I'm convinced that the Washington Post always decides not to post the stories when the guy does what he is supposed to and the date is successful. There is no way every guy who they set up ends up failing as miserably as this guy did. Maybe it would be worthwhile if I contact the Washington Post and ask if they would consider letting Tuthmosis post comments again. It's been quite a while since he was suspended for using the word "vagina" in one of his comments.

I'm not familiar with Date Lab. Is it a blind date that they only see each other at the venue organised by Date Lab?
