A player could parlay his social skills into becoming a head of state or leader in the corporate world, or something along those lines.

But I'm guessing most don't value those sorts of achievements, especially considering the effort, competition, and the black swans. It's enough to get a nice variety of trim, and be financially comfortable/independent.

The end of the line for most is being The Man About Town. A guy with connections. But no further.

Cold approach no longer, you throw social functions and get invited to cool ones.

Is there any point in going national, or switching over to more traditional network building?

Even that is too much effort and socializing for my taste, I might have enjoyed that to some extent in my 20s, although even that is questionable, but no more.
Social status and connections is something that's never meant much to me other than as a means to an end. And I'd rather attempt to get there through means I find more relaxing and enjoyable (essentially primarily cold approach), even if it will be without status and connections to use as highly effective bait.

That end of course is sex on demand with beautiful girls - and possibly somewhere down the line a serious LTR if I meet someone worthy and feel I'm ready for it.

I think there is but only to the extent that our own internal desires push or dampen us.

I'm in my 40's now and I am almost exclusively a trophy hunter for women, targeting 8s and above. When I get the desire to stick my d*ck in something I'll approach like an idiot and score a 6 or 7 but not be proud of it all. For me this is the diminishing return, I need 8s and above.

For me Game/PU is a solitary endeavor, I like the new (meeting new women) and social circle or women who like my status don't do it for me. As a matter of fact I avoid these women for bangs and relationships because banging them gives them power over me in American society (through false claims or destroying a rep through gossip) that I avoid.

Not that I've become a masterful gamer or anywhere close to it, but for me the diminishing point of return was coming back to the US from 3 weeks in SEA.

I can't be bothered to go out and hunt these days. I rather spend that time hustling towards becoming location independent.

Game is just the beginning. It's a process for teaching men how to get what they want. It's an eye opener as to what is possible in life.

Game proves to men that they can go from Zero to Hero.

If all you ever do with that knowledge is bang hot chicks, then you've failed.

There definitely is a point of diminishing returns, but few guys reach their full-natural game talent. I'm sure a guy like roosh may actually have to force himself to approach less so as to avoid losing out on more lucrative things.

In your life, if game takes over, you will get opportunity cost, not diminishing returns if it means you are using your time wastefully.

Game as a progress tool, perhaps but that depends on your environment, outcome dependency/purpose and social status.

e.g.as CleanSlate said, his value diminished upon returning to the US compared to SEA.

The problem with most guys is that they lack clear direction of where they want to be in 1,5,10, or even 15 years. It takes a certain nuanced sense of life direction to guide oneself beyond just being "the man about town".

I can see it in some posters here. Some are happy just getting laid and doing nothing else. Absolutely nothing wrong with that.

However there are a few that enjoy getting laid, but also want to parlay those selling skills into side hustles.

Any man who is game aware is more than capable of being more than just a man about town. However if you aren't asking the question ," is there more to this?" then you won't start the steps of applying game lessons into other aspects of life.

I'd go so much to say guys who don't connect the principles to other aspects of their life are students who studied for the SAT, took it, got a perfect score, and then went to work for a gas station.

Is there anything wrong with this? Not really. If you're happy doing what you're doing and it harms no one, then carry on.

It takes a special mind to seek out more. Consider yourself lucky that you have the drive to question it and wish to achieve it WiA.

if you don't put in the effort to take it as far as you possibly can.

Traditional network building is the final frontier. If day game and night game
are like flying around in an airplane on earth...then network building is like getting
in a rocketship and flying to another planet...Where the women are hotter...and
very few people ever get to visit. Making you a very lucky space tourist...

I'll be content boning girls ten years younger than myself and driving a 911 turbo. Becoming the mayor sounds like hell, no longer can I be carefree in my womanizing. I'm a naturally social guy, so I end up making friends and acquaintances almost by accident. In my opinion game and networking tend to blur especially as I get older and my career advances.
