Forget sexting with the despicable Sydney Leathers like some other politicians, Joe Morrissey is living the "Top That Motherfuckers" life for real. Morrissey, 57, was once a member of the Virginia House of Delegates and is now the father of newborn son by his 19-year-old receptionist. That relationship brought felony charges for sex with a minor, which he survived by pleading to a misdemeanor. His plea ultimately cost him his seat as a Democrat, but he ran again as an Independent and won. He's currently running for Virginia State Senate as an Independent.

If that saga's not enough, Morrissey is not lying low. Instead, he's released an image that flies in the face of political correctness that has naturally ignited a controversy:

While a biracial family's antebellum-themed photo may raise eyebrows under any circumstances, this one carries additional meaning. On Wednesday, Morrissey told a Richmond radio show audience that Chase was conceived when Pride was 18. Last year, Morrissey pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor charge of contributing to the delinquency of a minor in connection with his relationship with Pride — while she was 17 — but denied the original charges. Prosecutors initially charged Morrissey with multiple felonies, alleging that he had sex with Pride while a minor and shared nude photos of her.

In December, Morrissey agreed to a plea deal on a misdemeanor charge in which he admitted no guilt and avoided conviction on the felony charges.

He agreed to serve a six-month jail term that was reduced to a 90-day work-release sentence. Morrissey resigned from the House as a Democrat and later declared himself an independent candidate for his old seat. After easily winning back his seat, he left office this year to run for state Senate.

The Post typically does not identify victims of sexual crimes, but Pride, who is now 19, gave The Post her permission to be named.

Would not bang out of respect for a guy who appears alpha who has a kid with a woman where she is at the right age.

On another note I can't wait to see discussion on the OP's photo. She is sitting down, having given birth as an 18 or 19 year old young devoted mother to their child and looks up to him. He, the loving father of the family. His stance is good, he is standing tall and upright, with body facing out towards the camera which shows his independence. At the same time he looks down on his young family with love, perhaps the smile is a bit toooo much, but in the overall context I don't think is an issue. Assuming he is right-handed, his dominant hand is laid on her shoulder, but doesn't appear to mate-guard or otherwise be overly possessive.

The way he holds the walking stick is interesting, he clutches it in his fist. Is his signal to potential foes, a subtle sign of his dominance in the family or both?

Also very interesting that this is the photo they choose to release, can't ignore the fact that she is black and dressed as a southern belle while he looks the prestigious southern gentlemen. If he is trolling the media, very subtle and well done. Also props to the OP if he chose his Django gif to have multiple meanings in response to the pic.

Last thought- the baby looks very pale, first time where I am wondering if the mother should get a paternity test!

Wouldn't be surprised if the mother was biracial. Also - babies can be very light at birth and get significantly darker later on, my daughter is like that.
