We all know that girls that go to law school are cunts.

Can someone precisely explain how law school fucks up girls? At what point and through what kind of steps does a girl go from somewhat decent human being, if she is one at all before school, to a batshit retarded lawcunt?

I am in a tight spot because my friend's sister is thinking about going to law school and I don't know what would be the best way to convince him that this is fucking suicide on her part.

Yeah, it fucks up about 90% of them. Depends on where they go, I've met and gone out with some girls who went to some top law schools and most are nice and go with the best of intentions. I've worked for the last couple years in the politics and law area. I think its over ambition that kills people in this field, both men and women. While there are folks who go into law with good intentions and want to serve the greater good blah blah blah, most are driven ONLY by money and the hope of power. Women who want to do well have to develope a certain cut throat, almost alpha male mentatility, and the success they achieve by doing so just reinforces such behavior and transforms them into men.

An interesting example, my roommate's mom is the financial director of a very large south eastern company, his dad is a generally unemployed public accountant. From what I hear, the dad has had his balls removed, he has to ask his wifes permission (among other things) to grab a beer from the fridge, literally...

Having dated/bedded a NYC Lawyer recently I can pretty much confirm most of what Olympus Squared said.

We are talking about an ultra-competitive environment that is very male dominated and chauvinistic. The feminine girls usually cracks under this, others adapt to the environment. This particular chick had kept her feminine side (she does belly-dancing on her free time which I think keeps herself). She was however of the competitive kind, plowing through my Facebook friends list and remarking how I keep "odd friends" with half of them begin models. Creepy.

This is pretty much it. It's not law school, per se, that makes girls into bitches, it's the ultra-competitive, cut-throat, petty environment of Corporate America at-large that does it. I've met plenty of masculine cunts that never spent a day in law school, but thrived in the soul-stomping, cubicle hell, corporate-office environment. I've also met nice lawyer chicks (though they're a minority). Many chicks become convinced that if she's to fulfill any of her ambitions, she basically has to turn into a man (or at least her idiotic perception of what it means to be a man).

This is one of those hybrid situations where some natural-born bitches pursue that environment out of blind ambition (for money or status, while ignoring her feminine development) and some nice girls go there with good intentions, only to get soured by the experience.

Keep in mind that--independent of all this--the natural aging process also embitters nice girls into bitches, and the three years of law school roughly corresponds to the period when that might happen anyway. If a girl takes a couple of years off after undergrad, she might be going to law school between 24 and 27. She goes in comfortably in her prime and exits near the end of it.

I'm banging 1 girl who just graduated from law school and I'm working on another 2. Maybe it's just a coincidence, maybe it's still too early to tell, whatever. They're still pretty cool.

Being a lawyer is essentially getting paid to argue. You have to be right, it's your job, or else you lose a case. It is very easy to imagine that spilling out into the rest of your life if you aren't careful, soon all the world is a trial that must be one with an airtight argument. And losing means you aren't any good, so you MUST WIN. Even if it is through a technicality.

I sometimes like a good argument, but having to deal with someone like that all the time does not sound enticing at all.

Correct. Not all lawyers are litigators, and even many litigators spend very few hours in court arguing.

I used to date a lawyer and she had a nasty edge to her (although she was cool with me). She even admitted that she got that behaviour from being in that ultra competitive alpha environment.

Girls who get fucked up in law school were usually already fucked up to begin with. You can spot them a mile away in college; the girls who focus exclusively on their grades above everything else, regardless of how intelligent they are (i've met many girls who were stupid but pulled a 4.0). The stupid girls with good grades do poorly on the LSAT, while the intelligent ones do well, and once they get into law school their already fucked up mentality that started in college is further pronounced.

Not all of these women are messed up. However, take into account that the guys who bang these girls are usually the worst judges of their character; she'll put on the happy face for a man she's attracted to.

Tell her about the dismal job prospects after graduating. A career in law isn't all it's cracked up to be anymore. Plus, they don't get paid well as they used to.

I unfortunately tend to run into a lot of law students in the circles I run in, and I agree that there's both an element of girls who are already bitches being more likely to go to law school, as well as a negative effect of going through law school on a girl's personality. It's a competitive, high-pressure environment and girls definitely feel like they need to adopt a more masculine, ball-busting attitude to get ahead. At the same time, a lot of it definitely has to do with the fact that more cunty women are more likely to want to be lawyers in the first place. This explains why you see a lot of proto-lawyercunts at every level of law school, but the percentage seems to increase as you progress. If you must deal with their kind, the trick is to find one of the ones who is really sweet and feminine on the inside but behaves masculinely in order to compete. These types are dying to really be themselves with someone who can break them out of their shell.

One thing I say sometimes when I'm talking to a law student who's being a complete bitch is "you know, it must be really hard for you to put on that attitude all the time. I know how competitive it must be for you all the time and how you feel like you have to go inside this shell to keep up. But I bet that the real you, deep down inside, is really a sweet little girl." If she pauses or gives a subtle, knowing nod, you've got one of the good ones on your hands. And even if she doesn't, it's not all bad--you can just grit your teeth, run some hardcore dick game, and hate-fuck her the same night.

I think there's a larger piece missing here.

(1) Power/Ambition attracts shitty people (male and female).

Having met a fair bit of well accomplished people - billionaires, neurosurgeons, etc... These people are on average more bat shit crazy than most folks. There is a reason they got there and it isn't because they let people step all over them. This is the reason that politicians are a little crazy or you find that most countries are run by nut jobs. Taking this one step further, the harvard lawyer you meet is probably a little more whacked out than the person from Joe Shmoe Law school - i.e not all lawyers are the same. Additionally, some of them do it to shore up their self-esteem which no amount of accomplishment can fill up = makes you loopy.

This applies also applies to med school/JD/MBAs/etc... In general I find overaccomplished people are really good people or really shitty, the middle ground tends to disappear.

(2) A chip on a shoulder will make most people a little angry/overcompensate

If you are a woman in a man dominated field, every day you are going to come across people giving you crap. Your defense mechanism will tend to be to overcompensate and be a little more bitchy (see Hillary Clinton). This phenomenon happens everywhere - see angry asian man, angry black female, short guys.

That being said. I second Gmac's opinion. We're talking bout averages here so there is definitely room for outliers. If you hunt around the less ambitious ones I'll bet you'll probably find some good pickings.
