She took working jokes from all kinds of comedians, then added her vagina-slut-routine while being a woman. In addition she comes from a wealthy well-connected Jewish family and gets preferential treatment no matter what she does.

In the beginning she had no feminism memes and female empowerment and crap. That came only after she had become successful. If she had started out with that, then she never would have gotten big.

But even women have a limit as to how long you can play the fat disgusting whore and the public tolerates ever less the radical feminist crap.

'Smack the Pony' from 1999 here in the UK was quite funny if I remember. Some of Victoria Wood's stuff I found amusing but not hilarious. But yeah, apart from that there really don't seem to be many funny ones because they haven't evolved to be. Amy Schumer isn't famous in the UK so I had to look at some Youtube clips to get an idea, and objectively she isn't funny at all. I don't know why you Americans tolerate it - it's like being the best of the worst is worthy of accolades. Same with Melissa McCarthy, who none of us would have ever heard of if she wasn't so obese.
