Finding room mates abroad (London)
Hey gents,

Looks like i'm going to be relocated to London for work. As much as I enjoy having my own apartment, i'd rather save money in this regard for the time being and get room mates.

I'll have temporary housing for a few weeks, but what's a good way to scope out potential room mates? Any good websites to check out beyond Craigslist and the like?

I'm aiming for center London which would be doable with room mates.

• Stay in a hostel for your first month - even if you don't need to stay there, it's great for meeting people
• Gumtree.co.uk - free but sometimes dodgey
• flatmates.co.uk - pay to reply quickly to new ads (I think... just google for variations on this)
