I was going to post this - but it's such a non-issue it's not even worth discussing. People aren't going to start boycotting beer anytime soon. This goes inline with if everything isn't 100% Politically Correct then something is wrong. Bitching about things gives SJWs/Feminists purpose in life - aside from eating cake and taking care of their cats.

We saw this earlier with the Protein World stuff. Unfortunately, I think it's only stuff that is "bro" material that can bounce off of that and harness it. More "respectable" brands do have to do the whole walking back, "didn't intend for it to come across that way" game.

Honestly, I hope more and more companies turn up the heat. The optimal situation is that the feminists and SJWs get so offended publicly so often that it desensitizes and turns the silent majority against them. In an ideal world, eventually they themselves would burn out from needing to be outraged at so many things at once.

Maybe they are trolling the SJW crowd, but I think that is just a slogan to go with their "down for whatever" marketing campaign. I don't think it was meant to be sexually related at all. However, these SJWs see rape culture in everything just like we see phalluses in everything semi shaped like a wanger.

They've pulled the slogan. Man, I'm fucking sick of these crybabies and the businesses who let them win. Thankfully, most of the comments on my facebook under the various stories are full of people (men and women) saying it's ridiculous. I saw a few people dissing "millenials".

It's the kids. We've gotta do something about the kids!

I wonder if they could make a fortune if they stuck it out due to outrage marketing? The ones threatening to boycott probably drink Blue Ribbon.

Nita Lowey a congresswoman in the Bronx bitched about it as well with the hash tag no means no. Perhaps other put pressure on Budd which is a big business unlike the protein brand. When your larger you have to be more politically correct. Even though there is no mention of women in the slogan.

Just think about how brilliant this is. The money they saved on advertising and the profits they'll make from this increased exposure and its outrage is greater than the cost of them relabeling a few bottles. I imagine all it takes is a flick of a switch to churn out bottles with different labels.

It's telling that the first thing they say is that it implies rape, as opposed to other 'down for whatever' activities such as drink driving, bar fights, general disturbing the peace or vandalism. All of which occur far more often than rape does.

It's ridiculous. They literally are obsessed with rape. You can no longer say anything that will not somehow be misconstrued to imply rape.

No the feminist point would be that taking away "no" from one's vocabulary takes away the option of [i]not [/i ]giving consent, and thus promotes rape.

It can also be seen as mencing and triggering because men could use the beer to put women in a position where they are unable to consiously give or decline consent - thus taking "no away from their vocabulary" - and rape them.

It also is problematic because just "not saying no" does not imply consent, there must be overwhelming and enthusiastic constant affirmation of consent. So feminists don't want rapsist to get the wrong idea that just because she is drunk off of the beer and can't say "no", it doesn't mean that she is saying yes.
