I was on this conference. I met some interesting people. On the way back in the bus I was talking to these new acquaintances. Apparently three girls were eavesdropping on my conversation. These girls were also trying to make eye contact with me and were smiling. One was doable (7) but the other two who were a slightly fat weren't. This girl opened me at the trainstation. I was just being polite and have some small talk. The fat one started saying some annoying things because I didn't have a coat and it was dark. I really wanted to loose this group asap. They were trying to figure out my logistics and I told them were I was heading. They invited themselves to join me and take the same train. While they were off-guard I ran off and wait for the second train. My question is how would you handle this situation without being rude?

I don't consider women who decline my conversation or my overtures to dance as being rude. 'No' is not rude. If you need to verbally disengage while pretending to not reject someone, then just do what women do. Tell a white lie.

A simple "No thank you" is perfectly fine. If they give you shit because you politely rejected their proposition then they are the ones being rude.

1. Get in the habit of saying "I'm going to hang out with a friend" when an undesirable person asks you what you are up to. That way it seems like a private event and they probably won't ask to tag along. And if they do ask, just tell them it's a private event.

2. If an undesirable person figures out that you're going to an open event and they know the address and they insist on coming, go with them to the venue and talk to them on the bus or whatever, but then ignore them upon arrival. Make sure you enter the venue in front of them and don't introduce them to anybody.

3. If an undesirable person figures out that you're going to an open event and they insist on coming but they DON'T know the address, you can lose them by pretending to receive a call and running off the bus. Then you catch the next bus and proceed to go to the venue. They will text you later that night saying "where are you?" but you will never respond. If you see them in person another day, don't even bring it up, and if they do, have some drama story ready to go, like your friend got really sick or something and you had to go.

But ideally you run point 1 every time so you seem status and private and avoid them following you all together.
