It makes more sense from a potential civilian casualty stand point to throw up roadblocks to adjoining middle class neighborhoods and just wait until they burn themselves out. They are still burning down their own neighborhood for the most part.

Another method is the one Russia and China employs which is calling in their military urban anti-terror spec ops groups at the first sign of insurgent type activity. Gang members looting and killing people qualifies. This is also very effective in stopping violence but the U.S. is too limp wristed to use those other effective methods.

Then when the neighborhood is a burnt out husk the decent people still left there will all depart (just like in south central L.A.) and what will be left will be a pathetic time capsule, another reminder.

These riots really are lending credence to the theory that the media is the true party of power in the U.S.

You know that the first cop who fires back will be vilified beyond a doubt. Undoubtedly the political power structure of Baltimore would be ruthlessly attacked in the media to the point of being forced to resign if the police do anything to stop this. They create the whole perception across the country that this is something that must be tolerated, understood, etc.

I bet much of this is backed and organized by leftist globalists like George Soros. This will allow them to push their police state and remove freedoms. No protests in NYC or DC, but other cities are fair game.

Seven police officers were injured, one seriously. If it were that kind of a conspiracy, they'd have been told to stay safe at the precinct.

The rioting (which has now wrecked a 100-year-old Italian deli, Trinacria's) probably got out of hand in Baltimore and Ferguson because the people in charge are small-time and inept. It was held at bay in DC and NYC because they have the funds and the brains to keep it under wraps.

There were disturbances here Saturday night and people were not allowed to leave the local ballpark. That should have been a red alert to the governor, mayor, and police chief to do whatever they're paid to do in instances like this.

They had two days to get it together. They didn't. If this were NYC, DiBlasio and the police chief would have already had a plan in action before the ballgame. Here there is no plan, days later. Considering how out of sorts the police chief sounds, I don't think he's taking orders from any Illuminati. This is mayhem they didn't expect.

(Here's a funny thought, though. Out where I live in the 'burbs of a nearby county, they've called in our police to Baltimore City and as a result we have less police presence. So I guess now if anyone here wants to speed, toke up outside, urinate in public, fish without a license, or ring up call girls, now's the time! So there's that side benefit. Hahahaha.)

NYPD is basically a security state. Cameras everywhere, stop and frisk, the experience of taking the NYC of the 80s and turning it into one of the safest cities in the country these days.

You will hear people complaining about civil rights in NYC all the time. Many people are stopped and frisked for no reason. You can find tons of videos on youtube of innocent people complaining about it, being stopped repetitively for no reason.

In the press it has often been compared to a military force. NYPD has been called "The 7th largest army in the world". The media regularly engages in hand-wringing over the distastefulness of it all.

And yet they all live in NYC. They obviously benefit from the security the NYPD provides, and would hate if they were in a cafe with their iPhone and MacBook and someone threw a brick through the glass and stole their shit. Yet they just aren't happy about actually seeing what goes into preventing that. Like a person who eats meat but doesn't want to see an animal be killed.

So yes, if you expect the Baltimore or Ferguson police department to be in any way comparable to the NYPD, that just isn't happening.

You can't really blame them for being "inept" though. They're just not even in a comparable situation.

Baltimore's been on borrowed time, so to speak, for a while now. For people who've never lived there, the best description I've ever heard of Baltimore is that it's a "small town with big city problems." There's not enough money in it like other towns (DC, New York) for any kind of large-scale gentrification... as if gentrification really solves anything. Pastors and politicians can't sweep this bullshit under the proverbial rug anymore.

On twitter you see people celebrating this like, "white supremacists getting what they deserve," or on the other side, "people destroying their own neighborhoods smh." By the time this shit is over both "sides" are going to be shocked by the level of violence that goes down.

In the end Baltimore will be a heavily protected port surrounded by what looks like Detroit. I've spent time in Detroit and don't type that last sentence lightly. A bad, bad scene with much more to come: The national guard will not be able to control this...

Man, fuck rioters. I was in LA during during '92. I remember being in high school and hearing kids boasting about fucking shit up. It didn't even have anything to do with Rodney King. They were just taking advantage of the pandemonium to cause wanton destruction during a time they could get away with it with minimal risk of getting caught. It's like they want to trash shit just for thrill of it. I witnessed that with my own eyes. I even saw a group of them go to a department store nearby after school and try to start a riot there and even started fighting some customers coming out of the store who were minding their business. The cops came and they got arrested. What's scary about things like this is that it shows how our country is really on thin ice. Just how much pent up rage is under the surface ready to explode at any time. Everything could seem peaceful one day and all it takes is a single incident for the avalanche to break loose and turn American streets into Gaza City.

I truly hate this shit. Real social change comes through hard work, organization and long-term commitment. What these assholes are doing is really is unraveling the social fabric of this country and ensuring that the inner city remains poor and disenfranchised. Who in their right mind wants to invest in places like this when you know your business could be burned to the ground during the next police incident, that you or your business had nothing to do with.

If it's not obvious at this point, a lot of minorities in the US feel like the police do little to protect them and are often hostile towards them. MLK noted the white affection towards keeping an orderly system as a greater goal than seeking a just system in 1963:

In one video I saw, they showed all the cars of a high school parking lot clearing out so the kids could go to the riot. I never had a car when I was in high school. And they all have nice clothing and cell phones with cameras to take pictures of the police. Is this a riot of the upper class?
