The trailer confirms that much of this is true. If the ending bears out I predict there will be a massive backlash.

And it is the first movie of a new trilogy. Jesus Christ.

The movie sucked in many ways.

Link has been terminated.

When WE came to Twin Peaks for Project Bluebook, the White Lodge spirits recognised his heart was pure and tried to possess WE to find out about the Black Lodge. To stop WL spirits from entering his body he used Haliperidol. It appeared the Haliperidol was causing insanity, but the Haliperidol was allowing his natural evil and insanity to express itself.

Arnold is getting old and should never have signed on to such a shitty script. The strong empowered sexless cunt role model is done. Still waiting for Reese to fuck Sara Connor. I bet they made him wack off into a turkey baster so she could squirt it up her snatch while being eaten by a dike. Stupid ass movie.

The link went dead, but I found the original comment from 4Chan on this website:
http://www.rpgcodex.net/forums/index.php...732/page-7

Spoilers!

Quote:The guy playing John Connor actually does a really good job. There's a great scene when he goes back and meets Sarah for the first time and trolls her with the line "I can’t be bargained with, I don’t feel pity or fear" with a big smug grin on his face.

• Arnie isn't in it as much as much as I thought he'd be. He's only in around 40-50% of the movie. Every scene with him in is better though. And the old T-800 vs 1984 T-800 fight is really fun. The CGI isn't anything special, unless you're comparing it to Salvation Arnie, in which case it's a masterpiece.

• The stupid bus flip from the trailer? That's from a big chase scene when John Connor is hunting down Sarah & Kyle. John just does this weird arm flick whilst driving the bus and the whole bus flips. It's pretty dumb.

• The future war scenes are easily the best, especially the "time weapon" stuff. There's even a brief early future war scene with child Kyle & John.

• The movie ends with Kyle and Sarah having a baby girl.

• There is an after-credits scene setting up the next movie. You see John Connor in a hospital laughing maniacally (even though he was killed in the movie), then he morphs into the T-1000, then Sarah, Arnie and ends on Matt Smith. He is only in one other scene in the movie as the scientist/resistance member who helps John send Kyle back in the future. So I guess he's the big bad in the next movie, assuming this one doesn't tank.

From another post on that forum I linked:
Quote:-It seems there is going to be a sequel to this as many things were left open and Arnold's T800 became a T1000 through a deus ex machina.

-There was no "It's a girl!" moment at the end. I.e. there were no hints that the now altered future has a female John Connor (as rumors once said.) Or if there were such hints they were post-credits and I did not stick around to see that.

-It ended much like T2. Arnold's heroic sacrifice killed robotic John Connor (though saved by the aforementioned deus ex machina) and they succeeded in blowing up Skynet and ending the apocalypse...

Looking forward to watching it on TPB!

RE: Terminator Genisys [spoilers]
I saw it last night. I enjoyed it. Spoilers below:
  • Kyle and Sarah Conner are a couple by the end of the film, but they do not show them banging.
  • There’s no scene of a girl being born.
  • The memory core of Skynet seems to have survived the explosion at and Skynet reappears in hologram form during the end credits.
My comments:
  • It’s good to see Arnie back as the Terminator – his advanced age is explained adequately in the story. He’s also very funny.
  • The old T-800 vs 1984 T-800 fight was great and unexpected.
  • The seemed to have fucked around with the timeline a lot. The film never explains who sent “Pops” (The old Terminator) back to the 1970s
  • I wish they went into the Terminator 2 timeline.
  • I didn’t like the fact that they made John Conner evil. He’s supposed to be a historical and inspirational figure in the future.
  • My ranking of the Terminator films from best to worst is :T2, T1, Terminator Genisys, T3, Terminator Salvation

I can either take it at face value and have it diminish him 80% in my eyes or choose to believe that some insufferable white bitch with a BA from a 50k/year liberal arts college runs his FB account and did it without asking him. Not sure which way I'm gonna go yet.

Did The Terminator suffer from a female empowerment movement or am I just digging too much into it?

- John is now a girl
- Sarah Connor can now slay T800 and T1000s like a hot knife through butter

No wonder James Cameron rid himself of it all. He see's the future.

Doing the same with this as I did with the Alien movies. Those ones ended with Alien 3.

The Terminator series ended with a shot of the asphalt in T2.

Agreed. T2 is probably the best sequel ever. It still holds up to the test of time, and everytime I watch it, there's never a point where I'm going "that's bullshit" where a scene is just too over-the-top or the CGI is goofy-looking.

Pretty fucking remarkable for a movie made in 1991.

RE: Terminator Genisys [spoilers]
The casting of everyone but Arnold is horrible. Why were these actors selected?!

The actor for John Connor has the most bizarre butch lesbian yet baby face I've ever seen. Just weird-looking, with a too-high hairline, and otherwise unblemished skin (besides the obligatory scar) basically untouched by war. Did anyone picture the rugged, battle-tested leader of the Resistance looking like him? Something with the makeup or lighting, or a combination thereof.

Kyle Reese - again, what is going on here? Who greenlit putting a guy from the Taylor Lautner/Hunger Games/Divergent-tier of actors in such an iconic role?

Emilia Clarke as Sarah Connor? She's a run of the mill actress, people who don't care about Game of Thrones will have no idea how she landed such a huge role. She's like half a foot shorter than Linda Hamilton, who legitimately put in the gym- time and sweat to create the physical presence of Sarah. It's comical that she plays the ultimate female badass.

I just don't know what happened to this franchise. James Cameron stopped directing Terminator films and didn't have the rights after Judgement Day, okay. Why? Why would he just abandon his stewardship of his own beloved IP, one of the finest to ever exist?

Because he knew it would turn to shit as they keep pumping out movies.

RE: Terminator Genisys [spoilers]
No, that's what happens if he does sell. And it did happen. If he has the rights, they can't do shit to ruin the franchise. I know there was some level of coercion involved for him to sell the rights for a dollar to the producer who was his ex-wife, but it was a stone cold retarded move no matter what.

Okay, so Cameron lost the rights to producer Gale Anne Hurd so that he could direct and make Terminator at all. A few years later, he reacquires them by way of Carolco Pictures and gets to make Terminator 2. At that point, he should have gone "Fuck you, over my dead body am I going to let the rights go to someone else." It's like losing your child, and finding him 7 years later. That kind of reunion is like a Hollywood miracle. Yet he loses the rights again when Carolco Pictures goes bankrupt.

The thing is, Carolco went bankrupt in 1996. He had a 5 year window to get the real Terminator 3 underway, but missed it. There was no way for him to know, but still, a little urgency would've been nice, Jimmy...

I didn't know some of those details, you should reinstate the original post.

I should correct myself on one account: Cameron had effective control when Carolco still had the rights, since they were unlikely to let another director take the helm, but he technically didn't hold the rights from early 1990 to 1996.

In general, little good has come from rights being shuffled away from their creators. Like the Amazing Spiderman movies in the hands of Sony.

RE: Terminator Genisys [spoilers]
I had some hopes for this but I can tell it's going to mostly suck. The last one was pretty horrendous. The only good bits were the "gritty reboot" future war scenes and the bit where Christian Bale gets his ass kicked by some guy with Arnold circa 1984's face obviously superimposed on top.

And the less said about the tacky self referential "come with me if you want to live", "I'll be back", the better.

T2 was the last decent one. T3 sucked and I will not bother watching another one.

The first is still the best.

I've got nothing but respect for Arnie. The man was the greatest action star of the 80's (sorry Stallone) and made an undeniable impact on the lives of millions around the world.
But I can't help but feel he needs to let it go. I'd rather see him bow out gracefully at the top than see him try to re-live his own glory days vicariously. I mean, some of his more recent films......

SomethingAwful is notorious for being a blue-pill SJW-infested unfunny shithole, but strangely, they did make some hilarious photoshops a few months ago parodying Terminator: Genysis' underwhelming promo photos:

I've learned that Cameron is due to reaquire the rights in 2019 due to changes in copyright law. This is in fact what led to Genisys being made, by these opportunistic pieces of shit.

Arnold should have held out a little longer. Refuse this role and outwait them for another 4 years.
