Cinco de Mayo is approaching. Anyone got suggestions on where in mexico to go? Specifically for girls and partying.

I've been to Playa del Carmen (but not during Cinco de Mayo) and had a blast. Lots of cute girls and good night life. Anyone know how it is during Cinco de Mayo?

Suggestions of other cities?

I've always thought Cinco de Mayo was more of an American holiday moreso than a Mexican holiday. Mexicans don't really celebrate it as much as Americans do. Maybe some people from Puebla can chime in because that's where it originated from.

Yeah, Cinco de Mayo isn't really a thing in Mexico. May 1st is Mexican labour day but that's about it.

Is this thread a joke? If you actually had any actual interest with Mexicans, you would know Cinco de Mayo is more of a celebration in the US designed to give American corporations more money and that hardly anybody in Mexico gives a fuck about it. But alas, live in ignorance if that's your wish. Pay the price you will.

I think it's only a holiday in Puebla. So if you were to celebrate it, I guess that would be the only spot in Mexico that would have any type of festivities, if even that. Mexicans find it bizarre that it's a big deal in America. It would be like us finding out that Mexicans celebrate Groundhog day by drinking American beer and eating cheeseburgers.

Cinco de Mayo is an American holiday outside of Puebla, which is where the battle that the holiday was founded for took place. The Feria Nacional de San Marcos in Aguascalientes is ongoing through May 10 this year if you want to party in Mexico on May 5. I recently returned from there, and it's a blast. Datasheet coming soon

Actually, the big day is May 2 - the Pacquiao vs. Mayweather fight. There will be plenty of bars you can go to where you can buy a cervaza and watch it on their big screen.

La feria de San Marcos, Aguascalientes is the fucking shit!!!! Definately a hidden gem. Is nice to see a few guys who have gone there to see it. Looking forward to the data sheet.
